Thin films of CdSe and silver(Ag)-doped CdSe have been prepared on glass substrates by thermal evaporation in argon gas atmosphere. X-ray diffraction pattern indicates the presence of hexagonal structure with preferred orientation along (100) plane. Elemental composition of the thin films has been analyzed using energy dispersive X-ray analysis. Scanning electron microscopy has been used to investigate the morphology of the thin films. Transmission electron microscope reveals spherical nature of nanoparticles. A decrease in the band gap due to the formation of band tails in the band gap with increase in Ag doping in CdSe lattice has been observed. Photoluminescence spectra indicate redshift in band edge emission peak with increase in Ag doping in CdSe. Electrical conductivity measurements are also studied, and two types of conduction mechanisms taking part in the transport phenomena are observed. Hall measurements indicate n-type behavior of undoped and Ag-doped CdSe thin films.  相似文献

The automatic identification of the modulation format of a detected signal is a major task of an intelligent receiver in both military and civilian applications. It is well known that the maximum likelihood (ML) classifier requires a priori knowledge of the incoming signal and channel (including amplitude, timing information, noise power, and the roll-off factor of the pulse-shaping filter). To relax this requirement, we introduce a novel estimator to estimate the parameters required by the ML classifier which is blind to the modulation scheme of the received signal, and this gives rise to a new blind modulation classifier for digital amplitude-phase modulated signals. While the proposed classifier is completely blind, the simulation results show that the performance of this classifier is very close to the optimal non-blind classifier.

Cancers have been the leading cause of death worldwide and poor diet and physical inactivity are major risk factors in cancer-related deaths. Micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals appear to have preventive properties against cancer. One important mechanism by which dietary changes can exert preventive effects on cancer is via the modulation of micronutrient concentrations in target tissues. Many of these micronutrients are available in the form of dietary supplements, and the intake of these supplements is prevalent in various parts of the world. However, in most cases, it is not known which micronutrient (or combination of micronutrients) is best when it comes to lowering the risk of cancer. The present review illustrates the effect of vitamin D and ascorbic acid intake on preventing cancer.  相似文献

Polyaniline (PANi)–titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanocomposite materials were prepared by chemical polymerization of aniline doped with TiO2 nanoparticles. Surface pressure–area (π‐A) isotherms of these nanocomposites show phase transformations in the monolayer during compression process. Multiple isotherms indicate that the monolayer of the nanocomposite material can retain its configuration during compression‐expansion cycles. Langmuir–Blodgett thin films of PANi–TiO2 nanocomposite were deposited on the quartz and indium tin oxide coated conducting glass substrates. Fourier transfer infrared spectroscopy and UV–visible spectroscopy study indicates the presence of TiO2 in PANi, whereas X‐ray Diffraction study confirmed the anatase phase of TiO2 and particle size (~nm) of PANi–TiO2.
