An integral-equation formulation has been derived for nonlinear deformation in a stack of buffered Kirchhoff plates. The plates are assumed to follow a nonlinear bending moment-curvature law and the buffer material to follow the generalized Hooke’s law. By employing the recently derived special Green’s function for multilayers with interfacial membrane and flexural rigidities as the kernel, the integral-equation formulation only involves the surface loading area (for application to an indentation problem) and the portion of plates undergoing nonlinear deformation. Based on the integral equation, an efficient and accurate boundary element method has been derived to numerically solve the cylindrical indentation problem of the material with a bilinear flexural bending law for the plates. Numerical examples are presented to show a progressive damage process of yielding across a stack of plates as well as to demonstrate the validity and accuracy of the present integral-equation formulation.  相似文献

Mobile phones have become one of the mostly used gadgets in the world. The number of devices being used has been increasing tremendously and the concern for signal connectivity has been growing everyday. In this work, a mobile phone location registration model has been proposed using a hybrid random number generator (HRNG). Traffic of the cellular devices during the successive location registration with base station can be managed by incorporating a HRNG which produces different delays in different mobile phones. This HRNG was designed using ring oscillator, PLL and cellular automata. The developed HRNG was utilized to create non-overlapping pulses on Cyclone II FPGA EP2C20F484C7 which depict a part of mobile registration controller hardware. The proposed scheme utilized 1616 combinational functions and 1003 registers with a total power dissipation of 69.96 mW. The HRNG was analyzed with restart, entropy and NIST randomness analyses. The capability of mobile registration architecture was analyzed with correlation and random distribution analyses.

Nickel is a metal electroplated on a wide variety of articles both ferrous and nonferrous. Small articles which are difficult to jig are frequently plated by barrel plating technique.

In conventional barrel plating the parts to be plated are contacted by either a rod, dangler or metallic wall as they rotate inside the barrel. A modified barrel design has been effected by changing the dangler contact with uniformly distributed contact tips at varying points on the periphery of the barrel. A modification in anode positioning is also made. Improvement in thickness uniformity brought about by use of this modified design are reported in this paper.  相似文献

In multimedia communication, significance of the images for data representation is noteworthy. In this context, secure transmission of images over open channel has become a challenging task. Creation of different strategies in improving the secure image transmission always has a demand. The proposed work suggests an RGB image encryption with the confluence of attractors and hardware triggered key image in which confusion and diffusion were accomplished by Lorenz, Lü and Cellular Automata attractors. The uniqueness of proposed encryption scheme is a key image generation module through cascaded Ring Oscillator circuit which creates M?×?N key image for diffusion of pixels. Facilitating the authenticated networked access to key image generation hardware enables the secure server-client architecture for a variety of secure image transfer applications. The proposed approach is a hardware – software codesign which possesses a good keyspace, improved key sensitivity and satisfies the various statistical parameters thus offering substantial resistance to differential, occlusion and chosen plaintext attacks on RGB images.  相似文献

The heterogeneous catalytic redox behaviour of the nickel oxyhydroxide electrode surface was investigated with and without crotyl and cinnamyl alcohols using cyclic voltammetry. A comparison of the cyclic voltammograms recorded in the absence and presence of these alcohols confirmed the catalytic oxidation of the alcohols by the surface Ni3+/Ni2+ redox system at the electrode surface. Preparative scale experiments were also carried out using Ni(OH)2 electrodes of large surface area and the redox behaviour of the electrode was confirmed by the isolation of crotonic and cinnamic acids with high yield efficiency. The influence of molecular size on the catalytic oxidation process is examined.  相似文献
