The analysis and design of an LCC resonant inverter for a 20 kHz AC distributed power system are presented. Several resonant converter topologies are assessed to determine their suitability for high efficiency power conversion, under resistive and reactive loads. Two LCC-resonant inverter designs were implemented. One with all switches operating with zero voltage switching (ZVS), and another with two switches operating with ZVS and two switches with zero current switching (ZCS). A novel zero-voltage and zero-current-switching (ZVZCS) full-bridge (FB) pulse-width modulated (PWM) converter is proposed. The new converter overcomes the limitations of the zero-voltage-switching (ZVS)-FB-PWM converter, such as high circulating energy, loss of duty cycle, and limited ZVS load range for the lagging-leg switches. By using the DC blocking capacitor and adding a saturable inductor, the primary current during the freewheeling period is reduced to zero, allowing the lagging-leg switches to be operated with zero-current-switching (ZCS). Meanwhile, the leading-leg switches are still operated with ZVS. The new converter is attractive for high-voltage (400-800 V), high-power (2-10 kW) applications where IGBTs are predominantly used as the power switches. The principle of operation, features, and design considerations of the new converter are described and verified on a 2-kW, 100-kHz, IGBT-based experimental circuit  相似文献

Phosphate retention plays an important role in the pathogenesis of secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with renal failure. In in vitro studies, high extracellular phosphate levels directly stimulate PTH secretion in rat and bovine parathyroid tissue. The present study evaluates the effect of high phosphate levels on the secretion of PTH and the production of prepro PTH mRNA in human hyperplastic parathyroid glands. The study includes parathyroid glands obtained from patients with primary adenomas and from hemodialysis and kidney-transplant patients with diffuse and nodular secondary hyperplasia. The experiments were performed in vitro using small pieces of parathyroid tissue. The ability of high calcium levels to decrease PTH secretion was less in adenomas than in secondary hyperplasia; among the secondary hyperplasia, nodular was less responsive to an increase in calcium than diffuse hyperplasia. In diffuse hyperplasia, PTH secretion was increased in response to 3 and 4 mM phosphate compared with 2 mM phosphate, despite a high calcium concentration in the medium; prepro PTH mRNA levels increased after incubation in 4 mM phosphate. Similar results were obtained with nodular hyperplasia, except that the elevation of PTH secretion in response to 3 mM phosphate did not attain statistical significance. In adenomas, high calcium concentrations (1.5 mM) did not result in inhibition of PTH secretion, independent of the phosphate concentration, and the prepro PTH mRNA was not significantly increased by high phosphate levels. In conclusion, first, the PTH secretory response to an increase in calcium concentration is less in nodular than diffuse hyperplasia; second, high phosphate levels directly affect PTH secretion and gene expression in patients with advanced secondary hyperparathyroidism.  相似文献

The performance of the clamped-mode series resonant converters (CMSRC) is studied for an offline application. The CMSRC has the advantage of fixed-frequency operation, resulting in an easier design of magnetic components for resonant tank and filtering. Two prototypes were designed and tested experimentally, one to operate below resonant frequency (mode B) and the other to operate above resonant frequency (mode A). The efficiency is mainly determined by the rectifier losses and the switching losses. Where mode-B operation is implemented (below resonant frequency), the recovery of the diodes greatly increases the turn-on losses of the devices. The operation mode with four switches turned on at zero voltage, mode A' at above resonant frequency, shows better efficiency. Therefore, if higher frequencies of operation are desired, mode A' is the better choice among the four modes of operation discussed  相似文献

The specific circuit effects in the phase-shifted PWM (PS-PWM) converter and their impact on the converter dynamics are analyzed. The small-signal model is derived incorporating the effects of phase-shift control and the utilization of transformer leakage inductance and power FET junction capacitances to achieve zero-voltage resonant switching. The differences in the dynamic characteristics of the PS-PWM converter and its PWM counterpart are explained. Model predictions are confirmed by experimental measurements  相似文献

BACKGROUND/AIMS: The risk factors for esophageal variceal rebleeding are little known. Variceal pressure is one of the major determinants of variceal rupture, but the relationship between variceal pressure and variceal rebleeding during maintenance sclerotherapy has not been determined. This study was undertaken to evaluate the relationship between variceal pressure/gradient change and variceal rebleeding during maintenance sclerotherapy. METHODS: Patients with liver cirrhosis and recent esophageal variceal hemorrhage underwent consecutive variceal pressure measurements by direct puncture of the varices before each elective sclerotherapy. RESULTS: In 46 patients, the initial variceal pressure was no different regardless of age, sex, underlying etiology or hepatic reserve. Variceal pressure was higher in large varices, varices with more severe red wale markings, and varices with slower reduction in size during maintenance sclerotherapy. A larger volume of sclerosant was required to eradicate large varices, varices with more severe red wale markings, and varices with slower reduction in size during maintenance sclerotherapy. There was a positive correlation between initial variceal pressure and total amount of sclerosant (r=0.485, p=0.001). Initial variceal pressure was not related to rebleeding. Variceal pressure increased more in patients with rebleeding from varices per se (n=7) than in those without rebleeding (n= 24). There was no difference in pressure change between patients without rebleeding (n=24) and those with rebleeding from variceal ulcers (n=7). CONCLUSIONS: Large varices, severe red color signs and slow reduction in variceal size were associated with higher initial variceal pressure, and more sclerosant was required to eradicate the varices. An increase in variceal pressure during maintenance sclerotherapy indicates a higher risk of variceal rebleeding, but not of variceal ulcer rebleeding.  相似文献

This article's overall objective is to define the cross-sectional or generic professional abilities Spanish information and communication technologies (ICT) engineers need to develop their work in a dynamic, uncertain environment. The authors determine the relevant professional abilities (based on a literature review and expert panel) and sum them up with a list of 19 cross-sectional skills. They then describe the different occupational profiles required in the Spanish ICT sector. Finally, after filtering the 18 profiles into three homogeneous sets, according to a Mintzberg classification, they present and analyze the results.  相似文献
