An improved interstage network suitable for avoiding overload and for increasing the signal-to-noise ratio in low-oversampling-ratio cascaded continuous-time SigmaDelta modulators is reported. Feedforward coefficients, going from the input signal to the second stage, are used to control overload without affecting the behaviour of the noise cancellation filters. Moreover, the anti-aliasing functionality is preserved. Simulation results show the utility of the proposed network in terms of the overload performance  相似文献

A new combline filter structure with a continuous tunability for both the center frequency and bandwidth is presented in this paper. The passband-width tunability is achieved by placing variable coupling reducers between the filter resonators. The coupling reducers, operating as bandwidth control subnetworks, are designed as detuned resonators made up of a line segment ending in a variable capacitor. The proposed filter structure is experimentally validated with the design, construction in suspended stripline technology, and characterization of a low-cost filter prototype for terrestrial digital video broadcasting receivers operating in the UHF band (470-862 MHz). Other relevant factors, such as the intermodulation distortion produced by the varactors used to control the bandwidth electronically or the power-handling performance of the constructed filter, are also discussed. The reconfigurable filter module described in this paper is very suitable for the design of flexible multifunction receiver subsystems simultaneously supporting signals with a different bandwidth.  相似文献

A tunable planar combline filter exhibiting multiple transmission zeros is reported in this letter. By introducing two new coupled lines, the source/load-multiresonator coupling phenomenon is obtained without using additional combline resonators. The transmission zero locations can be adjusted by means of the length of these coupled lines to improve the upper stopband rejection. Moreover, all of these transmission zeros can be tuned at the same time as the passband without distorting the filtering-response shape. Parasitic coupling effects of the proposed filter topology and guidelines for their compensation are also discussed. The described combline filter is experimentally validated with the design and manufacture of a three-stage electronically-tunable prototype with five transmission zeros.  相似文献

A type of planar double-transmission-line resonator, consisting of two open-ended half-wavelength transmission-line segments edge inter-coupled along their entire length, is proposed. This microwave resonator, because of the generation of double resonances, allows coupled-line bandpass filters with reduced longitudinal length to be implemented. This is the main contribution of this work. Furthermore, as an added feature of the aforementioned resonator, its two-line geometry makes it suitable for dual-band bandpass filter design. To prove the concept experimentally, two different examples of single- and one dual-passband microstrip filter prototypes within the 1-1.5 GHz range are synthesised, constructed and tested. The major advantages of these filter solutions are emphasised. A complementary section dealing with the analysis of the split-type double-transmission-line resonator is also reported. Here, as a result of this study, formulas for its exact design are provided for the first time.  相似文献
