A study has been made of the influence of initial surface roughness, renewable and non-renewable surface contaminants, and irradiation hardening on the coefficient of friction for one LiF single crystal (A) sliding on another (B) in {100}A<010>A{100}B 010B orientation at 295 K. The normal load was 1 N, the nominal contact pressure 0.1 MPa, the sliding velocity 0.2 to 0.6 mm sec–1, and the amplitude of the (reciprocate) motion a few millimetres. Any influence of non-renewable contaminants persisted only for cumulative relative displacements 0.1 m, and that of micrometre-scale initial surface roughness only for a few metres. At steady state in the presence of renewable contaminants the coefficient of friction varied only from a high of 0.45 in ultra-high vacuum ( 7.5 × 10–8 Pa) and dry nitrogen-rich air ( 105 Pa, relative humidity 15%) to a low of 0.38 in moist nitrogen-rich air ( 105 Pa, relative humidity 50%). Irradiation hardening had no effect on the coefficient of friction at steady state. The worn surfaces created by steady-state sliding always exhibited a grooved topography partly obscured by more-or-less adherent layers of variously consolidated equiaxed debris particles 100 nm in size. Owing to the action of image forces, these particles contained no dislocations. It is suggested that the coefficient of friction was determined at steady state by the stress needed to shear these tiny particles past one another as near-rigid bodies.  相似文献

Wound healing is a complex process that is mediated and influenced by several cytokines, chemokines, and growth factors. Interleukin-22 (IL-22) is a cytokine that plays a critical role in tissue regeneration. Our study is a systematic review that addressed the implications of IL-22 in the healing of wounds caused by external factors. Thirteen studies were included in our review, most of them being experimental studies. Three clinical studies underlined the potential role of IL-22 in day-to-day clinical practice. IL-22 plays a central role in wound healing, stimulating the proliferation, migration, and differentiation of the cells involved in tissue repair. However, overexpression of IL-22 can cause negative effects, such as keloid scars or peritoneal adhesions. The results of the presented studies are promising, but further research that validates the roles of IL-22 in clinical practice and analyzes its potential implication in surgical healing is welcomed.  相似文献

Salt-wasting nephropathy is a rare syndrome in which renal insufficiency is associated with extracellular volume depletion from marked natriuresis in the absence of adrenal insufficiency or diuretics. We report the clinical course of a 23-year-old woman with renal insufficiency, in association with orthostatic hypotension and salt wasting. A combination of daily infusion of saline, a high-salt diet and oral fludrocortisone did not compensate for her salt loses. Renal biopsy showed noncaseating granulomas and marked interstitial inflammation. Renal function and salt loss improved with prednisone therapy and 6 months after withdrawal of steroids, her renal function remains stable.  相似文献

When it was first approved by the CCITT in the 1980 Yellow Book, Signaling System No. 7 was described as "an internationally standardized general purpose Common Channel Signalling (CCS) system:bulletoptimized for operation in digital telecommunications networks in conjunction with stored program controlled exchanges;bulletthat can meet present and future requirements of information transfer (circuit and non-circuit related) for inter-processor transactions within telecommunications networks for call control, remote control, network data base access, and management and maintenance signalling;bulletthat provides a reliable means of information transfer in correct sequence, without loss or duplication." It then consisted of a three-level message transfer part (MTP-for connectionless message transfer), a telephone user part (for analog call setup and control), a data user part (for analog circuit switched data), and a four-level architectural model with a "fuzzy" relation to the OSI seven-layer model. By 1984, in the Red Book, the MTP had matured considerably (especially in the area of congestion control), a new level had been added to provide additional transport functionality (the signaling connection control part or SCCP), an ISDN user part provided call control for digital facilities, and the architectural model had been "adjusted." Future efforts are focusing on cod-to-end ISDN signaling compatibility (harmonization of SS7 andD-channel procedures), non-circuit-related transaction capabilities (e.g., for network database interactions), a complete operations and maintenance application part (OMAP), and a more formal architectural relationship with the OSI model.  相似文献
