A series of alkaline-earth element containing high nitrogen content oxynitride glasses (AESiON), with AE = Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, were prepared in order to investigate the compositional effects on the physical properties of the alkaline-earth element. The physical properties were found to change linearly with the concentration of AE elements. The density of the glasses increases substantially with an increase in the AE atomic mass and slightly with an increase in nitrogen ratio. Ba containing glasses shows the value of density 4.16 g/cm3. Glass transition temperatures are found to be higher for Mg glasses, ca. 1020 °C, in comparison with Ba glasses, ca. 895 °C. The hardness of Mg containing glasses shows high values, up to 12.2 GPa and decreases for Ca, Sr and Ba containing glasses. Ba, containing glasses shows high values of refractive index in comparison with the Sr, Ca and Mg containing glasses.  相似文献

An unsupervised, completely automatic method for gain field estimation and segmentation of multispectral magnetic resonance (MR) images is presented. This new adaptive algorithm is based on statistical modeling of MR images using finite mixtures. Variability of gain field artifact with imaging parameters (i.e. TE, TR, and TI) is considered in the estimation process. Beside gain field, partial volume artifact is also considered in the labeling phase. Quantitative analysis on experimental results shows an efficient and robust performance of the adaptive algorithm and that it outperforms even advanced nonadaptive intensity-based approaches.  相似文献

Signed-rank nonparametric multiuser detection in non-Gaussian channels   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We present a novel nonparametric multiuser detector for non-Gaussian channels that is based on the signed-rank norm for linear regression. Analytical and simulation results show that the proposed detector offers similar or better performance as compared to the minimax robust detector, but without requiring any a priori information on the noise. The complexity of this detector is lower than that of the pseudo-norm nonparametric detector stated previously by the authors. This is due to the fact that in contrast to the latter, it is not necessary to compute the intercept parameter for the signed-rank detector proposed in this correspondence. We analyze the behavior of the blind version of this detector and show that it outperforms the blind minimax detector. We also show that this detector has a bounded influence function and hence it is robust.  相似文献

Routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) is an important issue in the design of routing protocols in an all-optical network. A solution for the RWA problem should determine the least possible number of wavelengths, also known as the chromatic number. In this letter, we introduce the concept of cutset congestion, and show that the congestion of the most congested cutset of a graph representing the network is a tight lower bound for the chromatic number in the RWA problem. In contrast to other existing techniques, our method can be applied to any network and any traffic pattern.  相似文献

This article describes a single-step reproducible approach for the surface modification of micrometer-sized polystyrene (PS) core particles to prepare electromagnetic PS/polyaniline–Fe3O4 (PS/PANi–Fe3O4) composite particles. The electromagnetic PANi–Fe3O4 shell was formed by simultaneous seeded chemical oxidative polymerization of aniline and precipitation of Fe3O4 nanoparticles. The weight ratio of PS to aniline was optimized to produce core–shell structure. PS/PANi–Fe3O4 composite particles were used as adsorbent for the removal of Cr(VI) via anion-exchange mechanism. The composite particles possessed enough magnetic property for magnetic separation. The adsorption was highly pH dependent. Adsorption efficiency reached 100% at pH 2 in 120 min when 0.05 g of composite particles was mixed with 30 mL 5 mg L−1 Cr(VI) solution. The adsorption isotherm fitted best with Freundlich model and maximum adsorption capacity approached 20.289 mg g−1 at 323 K. In this paper, we show that the total downlink interference in heterogeneous wireless DS-CDMA networks follows an asymptotically self-similar (as-s) process. The as-s model is valid for the interference under certain conditions on channel variations and traffic characteristics that cover a range of practical situations. We derive these conditions and generalize earlier results, obtained for data-centric cellular networks, to heterogeneous cellular networks. Simulation results for actual cases confirm analytical results, and show that non-uniform spatial distribution of users and their soft-hand-off status do not affect the nature of this self-similar process. Furthermore, we discuss the impact of the analysis developed in this paper in designing appropriate mechanisms for controlling radio resources in such networks.  相似文献
