Calcium hydroxyapatite (Ca-HAP) ceramics containing tricalcium phosphate (TCP) were soaked in three solutions: phosphate buffer, tris buffer, and simulated body fluid (SBF). Petal-like crystals of Ca-HAP were deposited on the Ca-HAP ceramics when (i) Ca-HAP ceramics contained -TCP, (ii) the soaking solution contained phosphate ion and (iii) the pH of soaking solution was higher than 7.3. These conditions facilitate the presence of HPO
4
2–
and Ca2+ ions, the latter from dissolution of -TCP. A well-defined X-ray diffraction pattern for the deposited Ca-HAP crystals indicates preferred growth of {002} planes. Slower crystal growth of Ca-HAP was found for SBF (pH=7.5) than in the phosphate buffer, due possibly to the lower phosphate ion content in SBF. 相似文献

Tensile tests of a 17Cr-7Ni-1Al steel were carried out at 0.1, 300 and 600 MPa hydrostatic pressure, and the mechanical properties of the material were found to be considerably changed by the pressure. The martensitic transition temperatureM

decreased under pressure. The volume fraction of-martensite induced by tensile deformation increased with strain, but was suppressed by hydrostatic pressure. The yield stress increased with pressure. The yield surface became a nonlinear cone with a pointed apex. The stress-strain curve was considerably changed by pressure, and was expressed by a modified identical-strain model (law of mixture) as a quantitative function. Uniform-strain limit increased with pressure. It was found that these changes were not caused by the mechanical effect of hydrostatic pressure, but by its thermodynamic effects. 相似文献

Photonic crystals with a diamond structure of epoxy lattices in which TiO2 -based ceramic particles are dispersed were fabricated by stereolithography. The periodicity of the lattice was designed to reflect electromagnetic waves in the gigahertz range. The volume fraction (β) of the dielectric lattice medium was modified from 14% to 33% by changing the rod diameter of the lattice. The photonic band gap was observed along Γ-L 〈111〉, Γ-X 〈100〉, and Γ-K 〈110〉 directions and the complete photonic band gap was formed at over β= 20%. The width of the forbidden gap increased gradually when the β increased over 14%, and reached 2.4 GHz at β= 33%. These results agreed with the band calculation using the plane wave expansion method. 相似文献

Ceramic photonic crystals with diamond structure were fabricated using stereolithography and successive sintering. The green body of an epoxy resin incorporating 10 vol% TiO2 –SiO2 was formed by stereolithography and then heated in air at 1100°–1400°C for 2 h. The sintered products maintained the diamond structure with a linear shrinkage ratio of about 57% and a porosity of 38%. The ceramic photonic crystal with eight unit cells showed a photonic band gap at the center frequency of 23.5 GHz. This fabrication method of three-dimensional (3D) ceramic photonic crystals is applicable to other 3D structural ceramics and does not require any molding techniques. 相似文献

Composite particles composed of solid powders and polymer were prepared by semichemical recycle of wasted plastics. Waste expanded polystyrene was used as raw materials of polymer matrix of composite particles. Both magnetite and silicon carbide powders were used as solid powders to give thermal and electric conductivity and magnetization, respectively. In the experiment, the oil‐phase dissolving expanded polystyrene was dispersed in fine droplets into the continuous water phase. Two kinds of powders were added at the same time or separately in the O/W dispersion. Composite particles were found to have the structure that polymer particle was covered with two kinds of solid powders. The mean diameter of composite particles and the content of each solid powder were strongly affected by the addition time when silicon carbide powder was added into the dispersion. Furthermore, it was found that the gradient adhesion layer due to two solid powders was able to be formed on the surface of polymer particle. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We report the two- and three-dimensional quantum lattice-gas automata simulation for one-particle electronic wave propagation in nanostructures. The transmission coefficient of the electronic wave through the two-dimensional quantum point contact is investigated taking account of the surface roughness of the confinement wall. It is demonstrated that the electron transmission is significantly affected by the surface roughness pattern even if the same roughness parameter is assumed. We also perform the three-dimensional simulation, and the wave propagation in the structure like an ultrathin-body MOSFET is visualized. 相似文献

A density-stratified countercurrent flow was investigated to obtain data necessary to develop a physical model on a thermally stratified flow in a horizontal leg of a pressurized water reactor (PWR). The experiments were conducted at atmospheric pressure and temperature using fresh water and NaCl solution with a non-dimensional density ratio of up to 1.2. The emphasis was placed on measurements of velocity and concentration profiles near the interface between the two fluid layers. Measured mean velocity and concentration profiles were fitted consistently using the Monin–Obukhov similarity theory, which are well-known outcomes for stratified turbulent shear flow. The interfacial friction and entrainment coefficients obtained from the fitted profiles agreed well with existing results in literature, confirming the applicability of the Monin–Obukhov theory. Furthermore, a new empirical correlation was proposed for the prediction of a mixing layer thickness. 相似文献

Chemical states of fluorine in fluorosilicate glasses in the system MF2-MO-SiO2 (M = Ca, Sr and Ba; SiO2 content < 60 mol%) have been investigated by molecular dynamic (MD) simulations with a perfect ionic two-body potential. Comparison of the results with those derived by X-ray photoelectron spectra of the actual glasses demonstrates that MD simulations reproduce well the bonding states of fluorine in the systems as well as the formation of M-F clusters. The MD generated structure of imaginary glasses, or glasses not obtained by the conventional melt-quench technique, with 70 mol% SiO2 indicates that an acidic environment induces a greater amount of F---Si bonds. Their M-F pair correlation functions plotted against normalized M-F distances suggest that relative ion positions in the clusters are very similar. 相似文献

Summary The rheological behavior of the cholesteric side-chain copolysiloxane whose two kinds of mesogenic groups consist of cholesteryl
units and biphenyl benzoate units was investigated for three different compositions: 31:69, 35:65, 37:63 (in mol%). On the
frequency dependence diagram of G′ for the copolymers at various temperatures, G′ decreases with decreasing frequency. The
slope of G′ in a higher frequency region at lower temperatures (110°–130°C) is similar to that in the flow region of amorphous
polymer melts. However, the slope of G′ in a lower frequency region at higher temperatures (140°–160°C) is relatively small,
and the G′ curves in this region can not be superposed on to a single master curve. This deviation seems to be due to change
in stability of the domain structure of the cholesteric phase. Furthermore, on the temperature dependence curve of G′, G′
showed a maximum near T
c1

The effect of Ti serving as an activator in a eutectic Ag–Cu alloy filler metal in dissimilar laser-brazed joints of isotropic graphite and a WC–Co alloy on the joint strength and the interface structure of the joint is investigated in this study. To evaluate the joint characteristics, the Ti content in the filler metal was increased from 0 to 2.8 mass%. The laser brazing was carried out by irradiating a laser beam selectively on the WC–Co alloy plate in Ar atmosphere. The threshold content of Ti required to join isotropic graphite to WC–Co alloy was 0.4 mass%. The shear strength at the brazed joint increased rapidly with increasing Ti content up to 1.7 mass%, and a higher Ti content was found to be likely to saturate the shear strength to a constant value of about 14 MPa. The isotropic graphite blocks also fractured at this content. The concentration of Ti observed at the interface between isotropic graphite and the filler metal indicates the formation of an intermetallic layer of TiC. 相似文献
