A technique that improves precision in classification results using information extracted from video features is introduced. It combines fuzzy rule-based classification with the detection of changing regions in outdoor scenes. The approach is invariant to extreme illumination changes.  相似文献

Epidemiological data have demonstrated a significant association between the presence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and the development of colorectal cancer (CRC). Chronic hyperglycemia, insulin resistance, oxidative stress, and inflammation, the processes inherent to T2DM, also play active roles in the onset and progression of CRC. Recently, small dense low-density lipoprotein (LDL) particles, a typical characteristic of diabetic dyslipidemia, emerged as another possible underlying link between T2DM and CRC. Growing evidence suggests that antidiabetic medications may have beneficial effects in CRC prevention. According to findings from a limited number of preclinical and clinical studies, glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) could be a promising strategy in reducing the incidence of CRC in patients with diabetes. However, available findings are inconclusive, and further studies are required. In this review, novel evidence on molecular mechanisms linking T2DM with CRC development, progression, and survival will be discussed. In addition, the potential role of GLP-1RAs therapies in CRC prevention will also be evaluated.  相似文献

A complicating factor in unravelling the theory of high-temperature (high-T(c)) superconductivity is the presence of a 'pseudogap' in the density of states, the origin of which has been debated since its discovery. Some believe the pseudogap is a broken symmetry state distinct from superconductivity, whereas others believe it arises from short-range correlations without symmetry breaking. A number of broken symmetries have been imaged and identified with the pseudogap state, but it remains crucial to disentangle any electronic symmetry breaking from the pre-existing structural symmetry of the crystal. We use scanning tunnelling microscopy to observe an orthorhombic structural distortion across the cuprate superconducting Bi(2)Sr(2)Ca(n-1)Cu(n)O(2n+4+x) (BSCCO) family tree, which breaks two-dimensional inversion symmetry in the surface BiO layer. Although this inversion-symmetry-breaking structure can impact electronic measurements, we show from its insensitivity to temperature, magnetic field and doping, that it cannot be the long-sought pseudogap state. To detect this picometre-scale variation in lattice structure, we have implemented a new algorithm that will serve as a powerful tool in the search for broken symmetry electronic states in cuprates, as well as in other materials.  相似文献

The authors propose an algorithm for automatic aircraft categories that is models classification from inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) images that use pulse reflection shape and Doppler shifts of parts of aircraft that are in any maneuver that introduces rotation to the target. The authors artificially generated five different categories of ISAR aircraft using computer simulations and tested these simulated ISAR aircraft images of the airplanes defined by size and shape that are flying in a prescribed holding pattern. The authors investigate in what parts of the holding pattern the ISAR reflections provide information that makes it possible to identify to which of the five categories an aircraft in the holding pattern belongs. The obtained results show that it is possible in most parts of the holding pattern to successfully classify the various aircraft targets.  相似文献

New phase diagram data and a thermodynamic assessment of the Gd2O3–CoO system using the CALPHAD approach are presented, giving liquidus data and mutual solid solubilities of Co in Gd2O3 and Gd in CoO. The thermodynamic model parameters for the ternary Gd–Co–perovskite phase and for the mutual solid solubilities of Co in Gd2O3 and Gd in CoO are optimized to reproduce these new experimental data, as well as phase diagram data from literature. The Gd2O3–CoO phase diagram is refined based on the results of experiments using combined differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetry, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction techniques.  相似文献
