We consider two multicriteria versions of the global minimum cut problem in undirected graphs. In the k-criteria setting, each edge of the input graph has k non-negative costs associated with it. These costs are measured in separate, non-interchangeable, units. In the AND-version of the problem, purchasing an edge requires the payment of all the k costs associated with it. In the OR-version, an edge can be purchased by paying any one of the k costs associated with it. Given k bounds b1,b2,. . . ,bk, the basic multicriteria decision problem is whether there exists a cut C of the graph that can be purchased using a budget of bi units of the ith criterion, for 1 ≤ i ≤ k. We show that the AND-version of the multicriteria global minimum cut problem is polynomial for any fixed number k of criteria. The OR-version of the problem, on the other hand, is NP-hard even for k = 2, but can be solved in pseudo-polynomial time for any fixed number k of criteria. It also admits an FPTAS. Further extensions, some applications, and multicriteria versions of two other optimization problems are also discussed.  相似文献

A theory is developed for the construction of carry-save networks with minimal delay, using a given collection of carry-save adders each of which may receive inputs and produce outputs using several different representation standards.The construction of some new carry-save adders is described. Using these carry-save adders optimally, as prescribed by the above theory, we get {, , }-circuits of depth 3.48 log2 n and {, , }-circuits of depth 4.95 log2 n for the carry-save addition ofn numbers of arbitrary length. As a consequence we get multiplication circuits of the same depth. These circuits put out two numbers whose sum is the result of the multiplication. If a single output number is required then the depth of the multiplication circuits increases respectively to 4.48 log2 n and 5.95 log2 n.We also get {, , }-formulae of sizeO (n 3.13) and {, }-formulae of sizeO (n 4.57) for all the output bits of a carry-save addition ofn numbers. As a consequence we get formulae of the same size for the majority function and many other symmetric Boolean functions.  相似文献

The focus of this paper is the determination of the complex permittivity of chip packaging materials at millimeter-wave frequencies. After a broad overview of existing measurement techniques, three methods will be presented that have been established for the dielectric property determination of substrate, as well as mold materials (encapsulants, under-fill, etc.) in the millimeter-wave frequency range. First, the open resonator used here will be briefly described. It allows accurate determination of the dielectric constant and loss of thin sheet substrate materials from below 20 GHz to above 100 GHz. Second, a filled waveguide method is explained in detail. The setup used here can determine the complex dielectric properties of mold materials from 70 to 100 GHz. Third, the method based on covered transmission lines will be described in detail. The used lines allow measurements from below 40 GHz to approximately 90 GHz. Verification of all three methods will be provided by inter-comparison and comparison to values from the literature. Additionally, results for several typical substrate and mold materials that are available for millimeter-wave packaging will be shown and discussed.  相似文献

THz acoustic phonons have wavelengths in the nm range and can be used as internal probes to investigate self-assemble quantum dots (QDs) structures. The interaction between delocalised acoustic phonons and an ensemble of localised electronic states yields interferences in the Raman scattering efficiency. Raman scattering interferences provide an image in reciprocal space of the electronic density and therefore allow one to probe the spatial ordering of QDs and the localisation of the electronic states. Spatial correlations functions are obtained by performing inverse Fourier transforms. Characteristic distances can be identified, provided that optical and acoustic wave reflexion effects are taken into account.  相似文献

This work addresses the problem of improving the generalization capabilities of continuous recurrent neural networks. The learning task is transformed into an optimal control framework in which the weights and the initial network state are treated as unknown controls. A new learning algorithm based on a variational formulation of Pontrayagin's maximum principle is proposed. Under reasonable assumptions, its convergence is discussed. Numerical examples are given that demonstrate an essential improvement of generalization capabilities after the learning process of a dynamic network.  相似文献

The Research Diagnostic Criteria (RDC) were developed to meet the researcher's need for a standardized diagnostic system possessing desirable psychometric qualities. Although the RDC constitute an important step in the right direction, a review of the literature indicates that additional research on their validity is needed. A compact dual-polarized antenna is described for ultrawideband (UWB) applications. The main features of the antenna, besides an ultrawidebandwidth are low cross-polarization and small dimensions. The feed of the antenna is based on the tapered slot antennas, enclosed in a dielectric. The new antenna concept, including the feed of the antenna for dual-polarization and its integration, is described in detail. Prototypes are shown and their performances are demonstrated, based on simulation and measurement results in frequency and time domain. The antenna prototype input match is better than $-10~{rm dB}$, a maximal gain of 10.5 dBi and a mean polarization decoupling of approximately 17 dB in the main beam direction in the 3.1–10.6 GHz UWB band are achieved. In the time domain a peak value of 0.4 m/ns, a full width at half maximum of 100 ps and a ringing of 145 ps are measured. With a maximum antenna diameter of 35 mm and 53 mm length this new antenna is also suited for UWB antenna arrays.   相似文献
