Green supply chain management (GSCM) has emerged as a key approach for enterprises seeking to become environmentally sustainable. This paper aims to evaluate and describe the advantages of a GSCM approach by analysing practices and performance consequences in the battery recycling sector. It seeks to integrate works in supply chain management (SCM), environmental management, performance management and real option (RO) theory into one framework. In particular, life cycle assessment (LCA) is applied to evaluate the environmental impact of a battery recycling plant project, and life cycle costing (LCC) is applied to evaluate its economic impact. Firms, also understanding the relevance of GSCM, have often avoided applying the green principles because of the elevated costs that such management involved. Such costs could also seem superior to the potential advantages since standard performance measurement systems are internally and business focused; for these reasons, we consider all the possible value deriving also by uncertainty associated to a green project using the RO theory. This work is one of the few and pioneering efforts to investigate GSCM practices in the battery recycling sector.  相似文献

The system Na-feldspar (F) and kaolinite (K) was investigated at temperatures of interest in ceramic applications (1200–1280 °C) to study the effects of F/K ratios by weight and crystallinity degree of kaolinite on the final product, micro-structural features and mullite-glass Gibbs energy of formation (ΔGeff). Mullite and glass are the dominant phases; in general, the higher the temperature, the larger the former. An F/K increase promotes the formation of glass and secondary mullite, appearing along with the primary one. ΔGeff was modelled by α(T) × (F/K)2 + β(T) × F/K + γ(T), α, β and γ being linear functions of temperature whose coefficients were determined by fitting the ΔGeff-theoretical to the ΔGeff-obtained from the measured phase compositions. ΔGeff is less affected by temperature than by F/K, whose increase shifts equilibrium towards glass phases. The ΔGeff-curves for ordered and disordered kaolinite intersect one another at F/K ~0.5, a ratio close to that used in industrial practice.  相似文献

Systematic characterisation of the reactivity of the lysine moieties in CRM197 towards N‐hydroxysuccinimide linkers bearing alkynes or azides is described. This involves two‐step conjugation of various glycans to CRM197 by click chemistry in a well‐defined manner. By semiquantitative LC‐MS/MS analysis of proteolytic digests of the conjugates formed, the reactivity of lysine residues in the protein was mapped and ranked. Computational analysis of the solvent accessibility of each lysine residue (based on the CRM197 crystal structure) established a correlation between reactivity and surface exposure. By this approach, conjugation involving lysine residues (normally a random process) can be controlled. It enables the preparation of lysine‐mediated glycoconjugates with improved batch‐to‐batch reproducibility, thereby producing neo‐glycoconjugates with more‐consistent biological activity.  相似文献

This study describes the work carried out at the Burn Unit of the Neves Bendinha Hospital, Luanuda, Angola, during the 3-year period July 1991 to June 1994. During this period we admitted 2569 burned patients to our burn unit, and 4661 were treated on an outpatient basis. The data from the patients were analysed to indicate the distribution according to age, sex, TBSA, cause of the lesion and mortality. Our study gives some epidemiological data on burns in an undeveloped country undergoing a war, outlining the specific problems compared to the reality in civilized countries.  相似文献

In previous works, the authors presented the outline of a method for measuring the moisture content in agricultural soils via elastic waves, along with experimental results obtained on a specimen of sandy soil. This work illustrates other aspects and results of the research, regarding both the underlying theory and the design and realization of an improved measurement system. Firstly, the derivation of the simplified equations which are at the basis of the moisture measurement is thoroughly illustrated and discussed, starting from the more complex (and generally unmanageable) equations of elastic waves in unconsolidated porous media. The analysis suggests that by measuring the velocities of low-frequency compressional and shear waves in soils, it is possible not only to measure the water content, but also the uniformity in the water distribution. Secondly, the design and the practical realization of an experimental setup, which is able to measure the velocity of compressional and shear waves in soils, is illustrated in detail. The use of custom-built compressional and shear waves electromechanical actuators, together with geophones, low noise preamplifiers, and suitable signal processing techniques, brought to the realization of an effective and reasonably accurate measurement system.  相似文献

Notch pathway is a highly conserved intracellular signaling route that modulates a vast variety of cellular processes including proliferation, differentiation, migration, cell fate and death. Recently, the presence of a strict crosstalk between Notch signaling and inflammation has been described, although the precise molecular mechanisms underlying this interplay have not yet been fully unravelled. Disruptions in Notch cascade, due both to direct mutations and/or to an altered regulation in the core components of Notch signaling, might lead to hypo- or hyperactivation of Notch target genes and signaling molecules, ultimately contributing to the onset of autoinflammatory diseases. To date, alterations in Notch signaling have been reported as associated with three autoinflammatory disorders, therefore, suggesting a possible role of Notch in the pathogenesis of the following diseases: hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), Behçet disease (BD), and giant cell arteritis (GCA). In this review, we aim at better characterizing the interplay between Notch and autoinflammatory diseases, trying to identify the role of this signaling route in the context of these disorders.  相似文献
