Patient Physiological Parameters (PPPs) seem to be the most extensively accessed and utilized Personal Health Information (PHI) in hospitals, and their utilization by the various medical entities for treatment and diagnosis creates a real threat to patient privacy. This study aims to investigate whether PPPs access in a hospital environment violates patient privacy. If so, to what extent can we manage patient privacy while accessing PPPs in this environment? We investigated this question by analyzing questionnaire-based data from two Asian countries: Group A (China) and Group B (Pakistan). For data collection, we targeted those medical entities which were directly dealing with PPPs in their routine tasks. Results suggest that patient type directly influences the collection of PPPs: Group A (one-time?=?1.9, follow-up?=?1.06) and Group B (one-time?=?2.0 and follow-up?=?1.9). Both groups agreed that patients have the right to control their own PPPs. In both, doctors are the most trusted entity: for Group A, the Pearson Chi-Square with one degree of freedom is 1.414, p?=?0.234, whereas for Group B, the Pearson Chi-Square with three degrees of freedom is 4.511, p?=?0.11. Most of the Group A entities (92%) are familiar with unauthorized access of PPPs, while in Group B the level was only 35%. In Group B, only 35% of entities stated the purpose, specification and use limitations of PPPs. Doctors in both groups showed a high utilization of PPPs read authorization rights. This empirical evidence about PPPs usage in both countries will benefit health technology and improve policy on patient privacy.  相似文献

The study reports phase and microstructural evolution in MgB2 bulk superconductors fabricated by an infiltration and growth (IG) process. Three distinct stages, (1) intermediate boride formation, (2) bulk liquid Mg infiltration, and (3) MgB2 layer formation, were identified in IG process after detailed examination of series of samples prepared with varied heating conditions. The intermediate phase Mg2B25, isomorphous to β‐boron, was detected prior to MgB2 phase formation in stage (1). Due to volume expansion involved in stage 1, cracks formed in the β‐boron particles and propagated radially inwards during stage 3. The growing MgB2 particles sintered simultaneously with formation of grain boundaries during the process, as evidenced by the measured hardness and critical current density in these samples. From our observations, we estimate the total time needed for complete transformation to MgB2.  相似文献

Mechanical forces can drive chemical transformations in polymers, directing reactions along otherwise inaccessible pathways, providing exciting possibilities for developing smart, responsive materials. The state‐of‐the‐art test for solution‐based polymer mechanochemistry development is ultrasonication. However, this does not accurately model the forces that will be applied during device fabrication using processes such as 3D printing or spray coating. Here, a step is taken toward predictably translating mechanochemistry from molecular design to manufacturing by demonstrating a highly controlled nozzle flow setup in which the shear forces being delivered are precisely tuned. The results show that solvent viscosity, fluid strain rate, and the nature of the breaking bond can be individually studied. Importantly, it is shown that the influence of each is different to that suggested by ultrasonication (altered quantity of chain breakage and critical polymer chain length). Significant development is presented in the understanding of polymer bond breakage during manufacturing flows to help guide design of active components that trigger on demand. Using an anthracene‐based mechanophore, the triggering of a fluorescence turn‐on is demonstrated through careful selection of the flow parameters. This work opens the avenue for programmed chemical transformations during inline manufacturing processes leading to tunable, heterogeneous final products from a single source material.  相似文献

Toxoplasma gondii (T. gondii) is a highly prevalent parasite that has no gold standard treatment due to the poor action or the numerous side effects. Focused sulfonamide-1,2,3-triazole hybrids 3a–c were wisely designed and synthesized via copper catalyzed 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition approach between prop-2-yn-1-alcohol 1 and sulfa drug azides 2a–c. The newly synthesized click products were fully characterized using different spectroscopic experiments and were loaded onto chitosan nanoparticles to form novel nanoformulations for further anti-Toxoplasma investigation. The current study proved the anti-Toxoplasma effectiveness of all examined compounds in experimentally infected mice. Relative to sulfadiazine, the synthesized sulfonamide-1,2,3-triazole (3c) nanoformulae demonstrated the most promising result for toxoplasmosis treatment as it resulted in 100% survival, 100% parasite reduction along with the remarkable histopathological improvement in all the studied organs.  相似文献

Cloud data centers consume high volume of energy for processing and switching the servers among different modes. Virtual Machine (VM) migration enhances the performance of cloud servers in terms of energy efficiency, internal failures and availability. On the other end, energy utilization can be minimized by decreasing the number of active, underutilized sources which conversely reduces the dependability of the system. In VM migration process, the VMs are migrated from underutilized physical resources to other resources to minimize energy utilization and optimize the operations. In this view, the current study develops an Improved Metaheuristic Based Failure Prediction with Virtual Machine Migration Optimization (IMFP-VMMO) model in cloud environment. The major intention of the proposed IMFP-VMMO model is to reduce energy utilization with maximum performance in terms of failure prediction. To accomplish this, IMFP-VMMO model employs Gradient Boosting Decision Tree (GBDT) classification model at initial stage for effectual prediction of VM failures. At the same time, VMs are optimally migrated using Quasi-Oppositional Artificial Fish Swarm Algorithm (QO-AFSA) which in turn reduces the energy consumption. The performance of the proposed IMFP-VMMO technique was validated and the results established the enhanced performance of the proposed model. The comparative study outcomes confirmed the better performance of the proposed IMFP-VMMO model over recent approaches.  相似文献
