Integration of mm-wave multiple-antenna systems on silicon-based processes enables complex, low-cost systems for high-frequency communication and sensing applications. In this paper, the transmitter and LO-path phase-shifting sections of the first fully integrated 77-GHz phased-array transceiver are presented. The SiGe transceiver utilizes a local LO-path phase-shifting architecture to achieve beam steering and includes four transmit and receive elements, along with the LO frequency generation and distribution circuitry. The local LO-path phase-shifting scheme enables a robust distribution network that scales well with increasing frequency and/or number of elements while providing high-resolution phase shifts. Each element of the heterodyne transmitter generates +12.5 dBm of output power at 77 GHz with a bandwidth of 2.5 GHz leading to a 4-element effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) of 24.5 dBm. Each on-chip PA has a maximum saturated power of +17.5 dBm at 77 GHz. The kinetics of the gas–solid Fischer–Tropsch synthesis over a precipitated Fe/Cu/La/SiO2 catalyst was studied in a well mixed, continuous spinning basket reactor. A wide range of synthesis gas conversions have been obtained by varying experimental conditions. Several Langmuir–Hinshelwood–Hougen–Watson type rate equations were derived based on detailed sets of possible reaction mechanisms originating from the carbide, enolic and combined enol/carbide mechanisms. Three models for the Fischer–Tropsch reaction rate were fitted to the experimental reaction rates. Kinetic parameters of models are determined using the genetic algorithm approach (GA), followed by the Levenberg–Marquardt (LM) method to make refined optimization, and are validated by means of statistical analysis. Simulations using the optimal kinetic models derived showed good agreement with experimental data.  相似文献

In this study, antioxidant activity of absolute ethanol, 50 % ethanol and water extracts of two species of seaweeds namely, Fucus serratus and Polysiphonia fucoides were evaluated for their ability to retard lipid and protein oxidation in minced mackerel. Mackerel mince added with 0.5 g/kg of extracts was prepared. For comparison, BHT at 0.2 g/kg and a control with no added extracts were also prepared. The samples were stored at 5 °C for 8 days, and sampling was done at time 0, 1, 2, 4, 5 and 8 days. The 50 % ethanolic extracts of P. fucoides were found to be very effective in retarding lipid and protein oxidation, as it resulted in low levels of peroxide value, volatiles and carbonyl compounds and protected against the loss of α-tocopherol and tryptophan residues. In spite of the higher phenolic content, the absolute ethanol extracts of both species showed a pro-oxidative tendency in minced mackerel. Water extract with lowest phenolic content showed no antioxidant effect in minced mackerel. In conclusion, the 50 % ethanolic extracts of P. fucoides can be a potential source of natural antioxidants, as these extracts have antioxidant activities similar to synthetic antioxidants such as BHT. However, the extent of protection offered by these extracts against protein oxidation was not clear and further studies are needed to understand the nature of the interaction between proteins and these extracts.  相似文献

This paper presents a new analytical solution of heat and mass transfer processes in a packed bed liquid desiccant dehumidifier based on the equilibrium humidity on the interface is assumed to be constant. In order to maintain the partial pressure difference on the interface, a high liquid desiccant flow rate is often applied in the practical absorber. Therefore, for a narrow range of operating conditions for practical dehumidification process, we can assume that the equilibrium humidity ratio on the interface is constant. The assumption of constant humidity ratio is applied in this paper for derivation of the analytical solution. The model and the analytical solution predictions were compared against a reliable set of experimental data available in the literature, with very good agreement. According to the Lewis definition in this present study, the Lewis number obtains 0.9. The effects of variables such as air and liquid desiccant flow rate, air temperature and humidity, desiccant temperature and concentration have been investigated on the condensation rate. The results present that design variables such as desiccant concentration, desiccant temperature, air flow rate, and air humidity ratio have the greatest impact on the performance of the dehumidifier. The liquid flow rate and the air temperature have not a significant effect. Furthermore, the effects of air and liquid desiccant flow rate have been reported on the humidity effectiveness of the column.  相似文献

General versions of Hermite–Hadamard type inequality for pseudo-fractional integrals of the order \(\alpha >0\) on a semiring \(\left( \left[ a,b\right] ,\oplus ,\odot \right) \) are studied. These inequalities include both pseudo-integral and fractional integral. The well-known previous results are shown to be special cases of our results. Alteration of lipid metabolism is an important mechanism for the treatment of insulin resistance. PGC‐1α, a key regulator of mitochondrial biogenesis and function, plays an important role in the improvement of insulin sensitivity by increasing fatty acids β‐oxidation. In the present study, the effects of epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate (EGCG), an anti‐obesity agent and enhancer of lipid catabolism, on PGC‐1α protein expression was examined and compared with anti‐diabetic drug rosiglitazone (RGZ). After differentiation of C2C12 myoblasts to myotubes, insulin resistance was induced by palmitate treatment. Then the expression of the PGC‐1a gene and glucose uptake were evaluated before and after treatment with RGZ and EGCG. Palmitate treatment significantly decreased PGC‐1α protein expression in C2C12 cells (P < 0.05). RGZ could restore the expression of PGC‐1α in palmitate treated cells (P > 0.05), while EGCG had no significant effect on the expression of this gene (P < 0.05). RGZ and EGCG significantly improved glucose uptake (by 2‐ and 1.54‐fold, respectively) in myotubes treated with palmitate. These data suggest that RGZ and EGCG both exert their anti‐diabetic activity by increasing insulin sensitivity, but with different molecular mechanisms. This effect of RGZ, unlike EGCG, is mediated, at least partly, by increasing PGC‐1α protein expression.  相似文献

In this paper, we present the receiver and the on-chip antenna sections of a fully integrated 77-GHz four-element phased-array transceiver with on-chip antennas in silicon. The receiver section of the chip includes the complete down-conversion path comprising low-noise amplifier (LNA), frequency synthesizer, phase rotators, combining amplifiers, and on-chip dipole antennas. The signal combining is performed using a novel distributed active combining amplifier at an IF of 26 GHz. In the LO path, the output of the 52-GHz VCO is routed to different elements and can be phase shifted locally by the phase rotators. A silicon lens on the backside is used to reduce the loss due to the surface-wave power of the silicon substrate. Our measurements show a single-element LNA gain of 23 dB and a noise figure of 6.0dB. Each of the four receive paths has a gain of 37 dB and a noise figure of 8.0 dB. Each on-chip antenna has a gain of +2 dBi  相似文献

The electrochemical properties of nanocrystalline Co-doped Mn oxide electrodes were investigated to determine the relationship between physicochemical feature evolution and the corresponding electrochemical behavior of synthesized electrodes. Co-doped Mn oxide electrodes with a rod-like morphology and antifluorite-type structure were synthesized by anodic electrodeposition on Au coated Si substrates from a dilute solution of 0.01 M Mn acetate (Mn(CH3COO)2) and 0.001 M Co sulphate (CoSO4).Electrochemical characterization of synthesized electrodes, with and without a conducting polymer (PEDOT) coating, was performed with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) at different scan rates. In addition, structural characterization of as-deposited and cycled electrodes was conducted using SEM, TEM and XPS.Capacitance values for all deposits increased with increasing scan rate to 100 mV s−1, and then decreased after 100 mV s−1. The Mn–Co oxide/PEDOT electrodes showed improved specific capacity and electrochemical cyclability relative to uncoated Mn–Co oxides. Mn–Co oxide/PEDOT electrodes with rod-like structures had high capacitances (up to 310 F g−1) at a scan rate of 100 mV s−1 and maintained their capacitance after 500 cycles in 0.5 M Na2SO4 (91% retention). Capacitance reduction for the deposits was mainly due to the loss of Mn ions by dissolution in the electrolyte solution.  相似文献

Waste chloride pickle liquors from hot-dip galvanizing plants, steel plants and flue dust contain reasonable amounts of heavy metals such as Zn, Cr, Ni, etc. Iron is invariably associated with most of these materials and comes into solution during leaching. Thus, the synergistic extraction of zinc(II) and iron(III) from leach solutions in tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP)–di(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) system diluted in kerosene was investigated. The Zn and Fe concentrations in the leach liquor used in the present study were 2 g/L. Experiments were carried out in the pH range of 0.5–4.0, temperature of 25°C, using sole D2EHPA, sole TBP and D2EHPA–TBP mixtures at different ratios. Results showed that the co-extraction of zinc(II) and iron(III) increased with increasing equilibrium pH using D2EHPA. It is demonstrated that the mixtures of TBP and D2EHPA are more efficient and selective than D2EHPA alone. At low pH values, the separation factor is low when pure D2EHPA is used as an extractant; however, using TBP as a synergist, the separation factor increases and results in a better separation of zinc from iron. Increasing TBP to D2EHPA ratios in the organic phase caused a slight shift to the right in the extraction isotherm of iron and a marked shift to the right in the extraction isotherm of zinc, and the maximum separation factor of 13.3 × 103 was achieved at a TBP to D2EHPA volume ratio of 4:1 (0.58 M TBP: 0.12 M D2EHPA). Furthermore, the effect of equilibrium pH, organic to aqueous phase ratio and Cl? concentration on the selective extraction was investigated. Using two extraction stages at the O/A ratio of 2:1 and pHe (equilibrium pH) of 3 and 1 for zinc and iron, respectively, 99% of zinc(II) and 96.25% of iron(III) were extracted.  相似文献
