We consider the nonstationary laminar regime of ultrafiltration in tubular membrane filters with one permeable surface depending on the selective properties of the membrane.     

Physicotheoretical method for analyzing the structure of crystalline materials using the diffraction scattering of high-frequency electromagnetic waves

The method of diffraction scattering of high-frequency electromagnetic waves at large distances from the scattering centers in crystalline systems and its application to the structural analysis of substances are considered. The relation between the differential and integral effective scattering cross sections of high-frequency electromagnetic monochromatic waves in a material and the electron density of its scattering centers is studied for different ratios between the parameters of the primary radiation and the structure of the scattering crystalline materials.     

Propagation of sound perturbations in heterogeneous gas-liquid systems

Analysis of the stability and conditions for bulging of gas main line sections laid with an initial curvature

A method is proposed for calculating for the stability of gas main line sections installed with an initial, upwardly convex, curvature. Conditions for the start of stability loss are formulated, and calculated dependences are obtained for determining the deflections and bending moments at the bulged sections.Sverdlovsk. Self-organized microheterogeneity and high proton conductivity of a solid eutectic of potassium and sodium hydroxides

A new phenomenon is discovered, whereby self-organized microheterogeneity of a NaOH/KOH solid eutectic modifies the properties of this proton conductor and thus changes the characteristics of a related Pd|NaOH/KOH|Pd heterostructure. The basic and applied interest in this phenomenon is related both to a high proton conductivity of the NaOH/KOH eutectic (10–30 mS/cm, which is several orders of magnitude (!) higher than the conductivity of NaOH and KOH alone) at moderate temperatures (360–450 K) and to the special electrochemical properties of the heterostructure. The much greater conductivity in the indicated temperature range and specific features of the low-frequency impedance spectrum are related to the formation of a microheterogeneous mixture of NaOH and KOH crystals in the course of self-organization accompanying solidification of the eutectic. An analysis of the temperature dependence of the eutectic heat capacity reveals the presence of chemically different microdomains of two types with the characteristic volumes of ∼35 and 70 nm³.     

Simulation of a manual electric-arc welding in a working gas pipeline. 1. Formulation of the problem

A numerical simulation of the action of the current experienced by an electric arc and the rate of gas flow in a pipe of a cross-country gas pipeline on the depth of penetration of the electric arc into the wall of this pipe and on the current and residual stresses arising in the pipe material in the process of electric-arc welding of nonthrough cavity-like defects in it has been carried out for gas pipes with walls of different thickness.
