A facile and green process to synthesise cuttlebone supported palladium nanoparticles (Pd NPs/cuttlebone) is reported using Conium maculatum leaf extract and in the absence of chemical solvents and hazardous materials. The antioxidant content of the C. maculatum leaf extract played a significant role in converting Pd2+ ions to Pd NPs. Various techniques were used for the characterisation of the Pd NPs/cuttlebone such as field‐emission scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray diffraction, energy dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared and ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy. This Pd NPs/cuttlebone showed excellent catalytic activity in the reduction of 2,4‐dinitrophenylhydrazine to 2,4‐diaminophenylhydrazine by sodium borohydride as the source of hydrogen at ambient condition. Nucleophosmin-1 (NPM1) is a pleiotropic protein involved in numerous cellular processes. NPM1 shuttles between the nucleus and the cytoplasm, but exhibits a predominant nucleolar localization, where its fate and functions are exquisitely controlled by dynamic post-translational modifications (PTM). Sentrin/SUMO Specific Peptidase 3 (SENP3) and ARF are two nucleolar proteins involved in NPM1 PTMs. SENP3 antagonizes ARF-mediated NPM1 SUMOylation, to promote ribosomal biogenesis. In Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), NPM1 is frequently mutated, and exhibits an aberrant cytoplasmic localization (NPM1c). NPM1c mutations define a separate AML entity with good prognosis in some AML patients, rendering NPM1c as a potential therapeutic target. SENP3-mediated NPM1 de-SUMOylation induces resistance to therapy in NPM1c AML. Here, we demonstrate that the imidazoquinoxaline EAPB0503 prolongs the survival and results in selective reduction in the leukemia burden of NPM1c AML xenograft mice. Indeed, EAPB0503 selectively downregulates HDM2 expression and activates the p53 pathway in NPM1c expressing cells, resulting in apoptosis. Importantly, we unraveled that NPM1c expressing cells exhibit low basal levels of SUMOylation paralleled with high SENP3 and low ARF basal levels. EAPB0503 reverted these molecular players by inducing NPM1c SUMOylation and ubiquitylation, leading to its proteasomal degradation. EAPB0503-induced NPM1c SUMOylation is concurrent with SENP3 downregulation and ARF upregulation in NPM1c expressing cells. Collectively, these results provide a strong rationale for testing therapies modulating NPM1c post-translational modifications in the management of NPM1c AML.  相似文献

In this study, design and performance analysis is carried out for a 10 kWh metal hydride based hydrogen storage system. The system is equipped with distinctive aluminium hexagonal honeycomb based heat transfer enhancements (HTE) having higher surface area to volume ratio for effective heat transfer combined with low system weight addition. The system performance was studied under different operating conditions. The optimum absorption condition was achieved at 35 bar with water at room temperature as heat transfer fluid where up to 90% absorption was completed in 7200 s. The performance of the reactor was observed to significantly improve upon the addition of the HTE network at a minimal system weight penalty.  相似文献

Here, graphene oxide (GO) was synthesized by a modified Hummers’ method and was functionalized with 1,1′-dimethyl-4,4′-bipyridinium dichloride (MV) accompanied by chitosan (CH) to prepare a novel MV-RGO-CH support. Pt/MV-RGO-CH catalyst was prepared by immobilization of the Pt nanoparticles on MV-RGO-CH support. The microstructure and morphology of the prepared catalyst was characterized by transmission electron microscopy and X-ray powder diffraction analysis. The electrocatalytic activity of Pt/MV-RGO-CH catalyst was investigated for methanol electrooxidation through cyclic voltammetry (CV), COads stripping voltammetry, chronoamperometry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) techniques. The effects of some experimental factors for methanol electrooxidation such as methanol concentration, scan rate and temperature were studied at the prepared catalyst. Durability of the catalyst was also investigated. Comparing the catalytic activity of the Pt/MV-RGO-CH nanocatalyst with Pt/CH and Pt/MV-RGO catalysts indicated that Pt/MV-RGO-CH has a very good catalytic activity for methanol electrooxidation.  相似文献

An optimized design for a 210 kg alloy, TiMn alloy based hydrogen storage system for stationary application is presented. A majority of the studies on metal hydride hydrogen systems reported in literature are based on system scale less than 10 kg, leaving questions on the design and performance of large-scale systems unanswered. On the basis of sensitivity to various design and operating parameters such as thermal conductivity, porosity, heat transfer coefficient etc., a comprehensive design methodology is suggested. Following a series of performance analyses, a multi-tubular shell and tube type storage system is selected for the present application which completes the absorption process in 900 s and the desorption process in 2000 s at a system gravimetric capacity of 0.7% which is a vast improvement over similar studies. The study also indicates that after fifty percent reaction completion, heat transfer ceases to be the major controlling factor in the reaction. This could help prevent over-designing systems on the basis of heat transfer, and ensure optimum system weight.  相似文献

In the face of growing global competitiveness it is necessary for US manufacturers to manage their limited resources in quite the opposite manner of the way they have been managed in the past. Just-In-Time (JIT) is a practice which, by eliminating waste, improving quality, and increasing productivity, has helped manufacturers meet the competition. The core requirement of JIT in practice, however, is the timely delivery of quality products. This requirement has exerted significant economic pressure on short-run JIT suppliers that provide low-volume, diversified products. This paper presents a means by which JIT methods and Statistical Process Control may be applied jointly to short run production in an environment with demand uncertainties. The purpose of this study is threefold: (1) to examine the cost structure of short-run production, (2) to propose the application of controlled production planning, and (3) to discuss the effect of controlled production planning on the cost structure of JIT suppliers. This study examines the economic impact of JIT demands on the cost structure of short-run production and proposes Controlled Production Planning (CPP) for generating signals for delivery failures or overproduction plans. Establishing CPP minimizes short-term production plan fluctuations, reduces inventory based on the market situation, and reduces the total cost of production. Using a computer simulation we demonstrate that CPP is a viable method for achieving these inventory and production goals. Based on this proposal, three inventory strategies are recommended to short-run suppliers in order to minimize their operating costs under different business conditions. The first strategy uses CPP to determine an inventory cap that requires the maintenance of an average level of stock as a lower control limit to cope with short-run demand fluctuation. This strategy is applicable to a business condition with high product quality and low flexibility to respond to fluctuating demands. The second strategy is zero inventory exercised by sole suppliers offering standard products. The third strategy is a flexible production system combined with zero inventory, which is applicable to suppliers facing strong competition without the market position to absorb their production surplus.  相似文献

Abstract  

A new heterobifunctional initiator, 2,3-bis(2-bromo-2-methylpropionyloxy) succinic acid, was synthesized and used in preparation of A2B2 miktoarm star copolymers, (polystyrene)2(poly(ε-caprolactone))2, by combination of atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and Controlled ring-opening polymerization (ROP). The structures of products were confirmed by the 1H NMR, 13C NMR, FT–IR, elemental analysis, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). GPC traces show that the obtained polymers have a relatively narrow molecular weight distribution. The compositions of resulting miktoarm star copolymers were very close to theoretical.  相似文献

For a simple biphasic hydrolysis, we show that the application of various reaction conditions in microreactors using segmented flow can dramatically increase the reaction rate. A tandem diazotation/Heck reaction served as an example that even homogeneous reactions can be accelerated by segmentation in microreactors.  相似文献

This study is a continuation of the computational analysis of the reactor equipped with hexagonal honeycomb based heat transfer enhancements, performed in Part A of the study. In the present study, the performance of the metal alloy and the reactor is investigated experimentally. The gravimetric capacity and reaction kinetics of the alloy La0.9Ce0.1Ni5 are determined. The performance of the reactor under different external environments is noted. The influence of operating conditions such as supply pressure, heat transfer fluid, heat transfer fluid temperature on the reactor performance is investigated. Evaporative cooling as a heat removal technique for metal hydride based hydrogen storage reactors is tested for the first time and compared to conventional heat removal methods. It is found to improve the heat transfer from the alloy bed significantly.  相似文献

In this paper, by considering the order conditions for second derivative general linear methods of order p and stage order \(q=p-1\), we investigate construction and implementation of these methods in the Nordsieck form with \(r=s+1=p\), where s and r are the number of internal and external stages of the method, respectively. Constructed methods are A- and L-stable which possess Runge–Kutta stability property. Some numerical experiments are provided in a variable stepsize environment to validate the efficiency of the constructed methods and reliability of the proposed error estimates.  相似文献
