Modelling of Diffuse Interfaces with Temperature Gradients   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The work is devoted to capillary phenomena in miscible liquids under the assumption that they have a constant and the same density. The model consists of the heat equation, diffusion equation, and the Navier-Stokes equations with the Korteweg stress. We study several configurations corresponding to the microgravity experiments planned for the International Space Station. The basic conclusion of the numerical simulations is that transient capillary phenomena in miscible liquids exist and can produce convective flows sufficiently strong to be observed experimentally. In particular, there exists a miscible analogue to the Marangoni convection where the temperature gradient is applied along the transition zone between two fluids. Convection also appears if, instead of the temperature gradient, the case where the width of the transition zone varies in space is considered. Finally, similar to the immiscible case, miscible drops move in a temperature gradient.  相似文献

The compound [Co(NH3)6][PuO2(C2O4)2] · 3H2O was studied by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The structure contains dimeric complex anions [PuO2(C2O4)2] 2 6− in which the coordination polyhedra of the Pu atoms are distorted pentagonal bipyramids sharing a common equatorial edge. We investigate the precision in the readings of the star tracker BOKZ-M60 obtained in the dynamic field testbed of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SRI RAS). The testbed features a mobile platform, on which a star tracker is mounted, which scans the starry sky. The platform movement is controlled by a PC, however, the values of the rotation angles in the platform hinges are not known with the desired degree of accuracy. In testing star trackers, the error in the known platform orientation must be around 1″, which corresponds to an error in determining the linear coordinates of the platform reference points of less than 3 μm. It is difficult and expensive to organize outside measurements of the movement of a mobile object with such accuracy. For this reason, the following accuracy estimation scheme is used. We consider comparatively long series of the determined orientation parameters obtained by the tracker in the testbed. With the help of a suitable mathematical model, a detailed reconstruction of the actual rotational motion of the tracker is performed based on these measurements. In this reconstruction, the residuals in the tracker readings are calculated. Based on the analysis of the residuals, conclusions are drawn about the accuracy of the tracker. As it turns out, the accuracy of determining the optical axis of the tracker lens depends on the angular velocity of the platform and lies in the range from 2″ to 25″  相似文献

In 2011, a unique complex based on a multipurpose unit-type electroslag remelting (ESR) furnace is created to meet the demand for large high-quality solid and hollow billets for the products of power, atomic, petrochemical, and heavy machine engineering. This complex has modern low-frequency power supplies with a new control level that ensure a high homogeneity and quality of the billets and an increase in the engineering-and-economical performance of the production. The magnetorefractive effect in magnetoreflection and magnetotransmission modes in the optimally doped manganite epitaxial films possessed the colossal magnetoresistance effect was in the wide spectral region studied. The strict correlation between the magnetorefractive effect and colossal magnetoresistance in the middle infrared region for all samples was observed. It was shown that the magnetorefractive effect is an optical response to the colossal magnetoresistance in manganites. The magnetorefractive effect can reach a few tens of percents in the field of 3 kOe near the Curie point and can be explained by the change of ratio of localized and delocalized charge carriers under the magnetic field. On the contrary, in the visible range no direct correlations between magnetorefractive effect and colossal magnetoresistance were detected. The magnetorefractive effect is related with the alteration of the optical density under the magnetic field in the region of interband optical transitions. The magnitude of the effect is at least one order less in comparison with one in the infrared, but exceeds the values of traditional linear magnetooptical phenomena as the Kerr effect. Finally, huge magnetorefractive effect in manganites may be used for creation of various magnetic sensors and light modulation.  相似文献

A specialized source of quasi-monochromatic X-ray radiation for medical application is proposed. It includes two electron storage rings (E 50 MeV) placed in the vertical plane and two laser resonators located in the horizontal and vertical planes. Hard X rays are generated in a process of back Compton scattering of laser photons 1eV by electrons in the linear paths of storage rings. The scheme of the X-ray beam sweeping over the predetermined region of interest for two-dimensional imaging is described. The possibility of multifold increasing of the noise-to-signal ratio and decreasing radiation doses for patients and personnel is shown.  相似文献

Neptunium(VI) and plutonium(VI) monophthalates were prepared and characterized. The complexes AnO2 (COO)2C6H4 2H2O were isolated from cold solutions, and AnO2 (COO)2C6H4 1.33H2O, from hot solutions. NpO2 (COO)2C6H4 b. 2H2O and PuO2 (COO)2C6H4 2H2O crystalize in the triclinic and monoclinic systems, respectively. The complexes AnO2(COO)2C6H4 1.33H2O are isostructural and crystallize in the rhombohedral system. The thermal behavior of these complexes was studied. Their IR and electronic absorption spectra were recorded.
