The electrostatic problem for the SAW interdigital transducers inan external electric field. II. Periodic structures

For pt.I see ibid., vol.43, no.6, pp.1150-9 (1996). An exact solution of the electrostatic problem for calculating the surface charge and electric field distributions in an arbitrary periodic interdigital transducer (IDT) is given using the results of our companion paper. An arbitrary external electric field may be specified along the electrode structure with the unit cell containing one electrode, or several electrodes, of different widths. The potentials of the electrodes that may be specified are also arbitrary. It is shown that in the case without an external field, the solution includes all the known results as special cases. The case of shorted electrodes in the external electric field is investigated in detail. The surface charge and electric field distributions are calculated for a spatially harmonic external field with an arbitrary wavenumber. The results of the calculations are represented graphically for various ratios between the period of the electrode structure and the wavelength of the external field for the case of a unit cell containing one or two electrodes of different widths     

Processes of the Collision Interaction between Ceramic Particles Being Crushed in a Circulation Pneumatic Crusher

A new circulation pneumatic crusher capable of producing submicron powders of refractory materials is presented. A mathematical model is constructed for the dynamic breaking of ceramic macroparticles. <Superscript>252</Superscript>Cf-based generator of radioactive xenon isotopes

A generator of Xe radionuclides was developed. These isotopes are required to calibrate automatic installations used for determining noble gases at international stations of radionuclide monitoring. Analysis of the Change in Relaxation Properties of Polypropylene Fibre in Deformation

A method is proposed for analyzing the change in the relaxation parameters of polymers during deformation by the method of repeated drawing with holding at each step until relaxation occurs. It is shown that the stress relaxation curves for polypropylene fibre can be described by two Maxwellian components with variable parameters. The characteristics of the change in the relaxation parameters of polypropylene fibre during deformation are determined.     

Fast variation method for elastic strip calculation

A new, fast, variation method (FVM) for determining an elastic strip response to stresses arbitrarily distributed on the flat side of the strip is proposed. The remaining surface of the strip may have an arbitrary form, and it is free of stresses. The FVM, as well as the wellknown finite element method, starts with the variational principle. However, it does not use the meshing of the strip. A comparison of FVM results with the exact analytical solution in the special case of shear stresses and a rectangular strip demonstrates an excellent agreement
