An algorithm for detecting drift in the value of the comparison standard when analyzing the data of key comparisons of national standards

An algorithm for revealing the piecewise-linear drift of the value of the comparison standard when making international comparisons is proposed. The probabilities of errors of the 1st and 2nd kinds are estimated and recommendations are made on choosing the parameters of the algorithm. New Generalization of Data on the Heat of Combustion of High-Purity Methane

All publications on precise of combustion measurements for high-purity methane are analyzed and generalized. The results of several generalizations presented have led to recommended values of the higher heat of combustion of methane as standard reference data for computations. We make a new generalization of experimental work performed from 1987 to 2001, a distinguishing feature of the work being direct measurement of the quantity of gas being burned.     

Calculation of the reference value of key comparisons from the results of measurements made by different absolute methods

Two algorithms for processing the data of key comparisons in which the participants use not one but several absolute measurement methods are considered. Evaluating systematic differences between laboratories in interlaboratory comparisons

A Bayesian analysis of the data from interlaboratory comparisons involving a single stable traveling standard is presented. The approach is based on the assumption that each participating laboratory provides an estimate of the value of the measurand with zero estimated bias. In addition, it is assumed that each of the reported uncertainties is given in the form of two separate components, one associated with random effects and the other associated with systematic effects. It is finally assumed that all information is consistent. Using Gaussian probability density functions, simple formulas for the joint estimate of the value of the measurand and for the a posteriori estimates of the biases and of their differences are derived. Formulas for the uncertainties of all these estimates are also given.
