Certain magnetogasdynamic effects in a high-current arc with a gas stream

System for Measuring the Beam Position in a Racetrack Microtron-Recuperator

The system described is intended for studying the positions (at 29 points) of the beam trajectory where electrostatic pickups are placed as sensors. The frequency of particle injection into the microtron-recuperator can vary from 20 kHz to 22.5 MHz with 1-nsec bunches. The system makes it possible to measure the position of the accelerated and delayed beams which are both present in the resonator gap. The measurement method is based on simultaneous measurement of the amplitudes of the pulsed signals from four pickup plates using a fast ADC.

Heat exchange in annular channel with intermediate heat carrier

The article explains the results of the experimental investigation of heat exchange in an annular channel with an intermediate heat carrier. A comparison is presented with coaxial cylinders rotating in the same direction. The experimental devices are described.
