A PbSe solution‐processed nanocrystal‐based infrared photodetector incorporating carrier blocking layers is demonstrated, and significant reduction of dark current is achieved. Detectivity values close to 1012 Jones are achieved by using poly[(9,9′‐dioctylfluorenyl‐2,7‐diyl)‐co‐(4,4′‐(N‐(4‐sec‐butyl))diphenylamine)] (TFB) and ZnO nanocrystals (NC) as the electron blocker and hole blocker, respectively. An improvement in lifetime is also observed in the devices with the ZnO NCs hole blocking layer.  相似文献

To assess the roles of two integrin alpha subunits (alpha6 and alpha8) in the developing chicken optic tectum, progenitors were infected with retroviral vectors that contained the marker gene lacZ plus antisense sequences from either the alpha6 or alpha8 integrin subunit cDNAs. On embryonic day 3 (E3), the vector was injected into tectal ventricles of chicken embryos. On E6, E7.5, E9, or later, chicken embryos were killed, and optic tecta were dissected and processed for histochemical detection of lacZ-positive cells. The antisense-bearing cell clones (descendants of a single infected progenitor) were analyzed for proliferation and migration patterns and were compared with lacZ-only vector-infected control clones. At E6, both alpha6 and alpha8 integrin antisense-containing cell clones were similar to controls. At E7.5, integrin alpha8 antisense-containing clones exhibited a cell number reduction in upper laminae (intermediate zone and tectal plate), and at E9, they exhibited a reduction in the ventricular zone as well. Integrin alpha6 antisense-containing cell clones exhibited no difference in total cell number at E9 but had a net laminar redistribution of more cells in the ventricular zone and less cells in the tectal plate. Our data show that different integrins play different roles during brain development: alpha6 integrin is essential for migration of tectal cells into specific laminae, and alpha8 integrin is essential for the survival of optic tectum cells. Also alpha8 integrin-substrate interactions may suppress early programmed cell death in premigratory and migratory neuroblasts.  相似文献

Inconsistent evidence of inflammatory immune cell infiltrates in adipose tissues with extensive triglyceride mobilization raises the possibility that regulatory or anti-inflammatory immune cell populations reside within the mesenteric adipose tissue (MAT) and mesenteric lymph nodes (MLN). These resident immune cell populations may be involved in attenuating the inflammatory response. We explored the immune cell population of MAT and MLN collected from lean, lactating Holstein cows without apparent disease in an abattoir (n = 42). Lean cows had a body condition score of 2.6 ± 0.1 (mean ± SD) with a greater frequency of adipocyte area occurring in small rather than large adipocytes. Cells were labeled with monoclonal antibodies specific to bovine leukocyte antigens for enumeration by flow cytometry. Within both lymph node and adipose tissues, relatively large subpopulations of cells expressed the β2 integrins CD11b and CD11c, class II major histocompatibility antigens (MHCII), and the SIIRP-1α receptor (CD172a) typical of dendritic cells and macrophages. Macrophage/dendritic cell heterogeneity was marked by β2 integrin expression alone or in conjunction with CD172a or MHCII across subpopulations from both tissues; CD209, the DC-SIGN c-type lectin receptor of dendritic cells, was not detected by fluorescence-activated cell sorting in either tissue. Lymphocytes comprised 74.1 ± 3.7% and 13.7 ± 3.7% of the MLN and MAT cell populations, respectively, and CD3+CD4+ lymphocytes accounted for 49.8 ± 9.9% of the MLN and 6.13 ± 1.23% of the MAT cells. Fox P3+ regulatory lymphocytes comprised 15.3 ± 1.1% and 6.73 ± 0.52% of the MLN and MAT cells, whereas γδ+ lymphocytes accounted for 6.65 ± 0.74% and 3.91 ± 0.43% of the MLN and MAT cells, respectively. Subpopulations of CD3+CD8+ cytotoxic T cells and CD3+CD11c+ innate lymphocytes were present in MLN but not MAT. These results show that subpopulations of resident tissue macrophages, dendritic cells, T helper lymphocytes, regulatory T lymphocytes (Tregs), and γδ lymphocytes reside in mesenteric lymph nodes and adipose tissues. Balance in the innate and adaptive immune functions embedded in these tissues could support metabolic health.  相似文献

We screened the aldolase B gene in 14 unrelated Italian patients with hereditary fructose intolerance (HFI), and found two novel disease related mutations: a single nucleotide deletion in exon 2 (delta A20) that leads to an early stop codon, and a C-->T transition in exon 8 that substitutes an Arg with a Trp residue at codon 303 (R303W).  相似文献

A compact low‐cost lowpass filter (LPF) with sharp roll‐off and wide attenuation band using stepped impedance resonator loaded with interdigital fingers and U‐shaped resonator is recommended in this article. The proposed LPF has a cut‐off frequency of 1.2 GHz with a sharp roll‐off 135 dB/GHz and passband insertion loss 0.35 dB. An array of two different shapes of defected ground structures are etched in the ground plane for introducing additional transmission zeroes to enhance the stopband performance. The relative stopband suppression is achieved up to 171% with a suppression factor of 2. The proposed structure is modelled, fabricated, and measured. The measurement results are found to be well‐matched with the simulated ones. Eventually, a high figure of merit of 21 600 is achieved.  相似文献

An experimental facility was developed to asses in situ the degradation of crystalline silicon solar cells, fabricated by the Solar Energy Group of the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA), by measuring the current–voltage characteristic curve. The cells were irradiated with 10 MeV protons and fluences between 108 and 1013 p/cm2, using an external beam of the linear tandem accelerator TANDAR, at CAC-CNEA. Furthermore, theoretical simulations were performed to establish the relation between the variation of the electrical parameters and the degradation of the lifetime of minority carriers in the base. The damage constant for 10 MeV proton irradiated silicon solar cells of n+–p–p+ structure and 1 Ω cm base resistivity was determined. Finally, a proposal of a new model of radiation damage for silicon solar cells is discussed.  相似文献

The main aim of this work was to evaluate the leaching of copper in grappa from distillation plant that treats Cabernet and Sangiovese marcs (Montepulciano and Chianti, Tuscany). Copper content (determined by atomic absorption spectrometry, AAS) was 1.05 ± 0.03 mg L?1 in industrial distillates (Cabernet marc, 82.3% alcohol, v/v), and 3.7 ± 0.2 μg L?1 in artificial grappa (62.0%, Cabernet) obtained by distilling marc in a laboratory‐scale glassware plant. The artificial grappa distillate was refluxed over copper shavings, and copper content, CCu, was analysed in relation to reflux time and wear of the copper bell. The results showed that CCu trend was almost linear with increasing alcohol concentration and constant reflux time, and vice versa. The ratios of selected volatile components were not influenced by reflux on the shavings.  相似文献

Following the 9/11 terrorists attacks in New York a strong economical effort was made to improve and adapt aviation security, both in infrastructures as in airplanes. National and international guidelines were promptly developed with the objective of creating a security management system able to supervise the identification of risks and the definition and optimization of control measures.Risk assessment techniques are thus crucial in the above process, since an incorrect risk identification and quantification can strongly affect both the security level as the investments needed to reach it.The paper proposes a set of methodologies to qualitatively and quantitatively assess the risk in the security of civil aviation and the risk assessment process based on the threats, criticality and vulnerabilities concepts, highlighting their correlation in determining the level of risk.RAMS techniques are applied to the airport security system in order to analyze the protection equipment for critical facilities located in air-side, allowing also the estimation of the importance of the security improving measures vs. their effectiveness.  相似文献

PbSe nanocrystal-based infrared-to-visible up-conversion device   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Low-cost hybrid up-conversion devices with infrared sensitivity to 1.5 μm were obtained by integrating a colloidal PbSe nanocrystal near-infrared sensitizing layer on a green phosphorescent organic light emitting diode. A ZnO nanocrystal hole blocking layer is incorporated in the devices for keeping the device off in the absence of IR excitation. The maximum photon (1.3 μm)-to-photon (0.52 μm) conversion efficiency is 1.3%. The extension (until 1.5 μm) of the near-infrared wavelengths, which can be converted to visible light, may be able to improve night vision.  相似文献
