Precision Spectrometric Determination of Th and Pu in Solutions with Arsenazo III Using Internal Standardization

A spectrophotometric procedure with internal standardization was suggested for precision determination of the concentrations of Th and Pu in the form of colored complexes with arsenazo III in nitric acid solutions. The sensitivity of the method was significantly improved owing to the use of colored complexes. The optical density optimum (0.3-0.5) of the solutions for spectrophotometric measurements can be achieved at concentrations in solution of the element analyzed as low as (2-3) ×10^-6 M, at the arsenazo and HNO₃ concentrations of 1 ×10^-4 and 6 M, respectively. With this composition of the solution, the relative rms deviation of the results for a single run is no greater than 0.15 and 0.3% for thorium and plutonium, respectively.     

Synthesis of Titanates with a Ramsdellite-Type Tunnel Structure Crystallizing in the Li<Subscript>2</Subscript>O-Fe<Subscript>2</Subscript>O<Subscript>3</Subscript>-TiO<Subscript>2</Subscript> System in Different Gaseous Media

The ramsdellite-type phases crystallizing in the Li₂O-Fe₂O₃-TiO₂ system in the course of synthesis in gaseous media at different oxygen partial pressures are studied. Solid solutions based on the ramsdellite structure with the composition Li₂Ti_3?xFe _x O_{7 ? δ} (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.7) are prepared in an oxidizing medium (P_O2 = 1 atm) for the first time. Analysis of the results obtained by electron paramagnetic resonance and Mossbauer spectroscopy revealed that, in these solid solutions, all iron ions are in the oxidation state Fe⁺³.

It has been established that the new products of safety. Clinical tests have been showed the efficiency of including these canned goods in the menu of fat patients, also with heavy obesity. Analysis of heat exchange in film condensation of stationary vapor on a vertical surface

The article presents an analysis of the theoretical and experimental data on heat exchange with vapor condensation on a vertical surface, and it demonstrates the calculation of the heat transfer coefficients taking the transient zone of the flow into account.     

Influence of the Synthesis Method on the Mechanism of Formation and Dielectric Properties of Ba2Ti9O20

This paper presents the results of analyzing the influence of synthesis methods, namely, the solid-phase interaction and coprecipitation, on the mechanism of formation, the degree of sintering, and the dielectric properties of barium titanate Ba₂Ti₉O₂₀. The effect exerted by ZrO₂ and SrO additives on the solid-phase synthesis is investigated. It is demonstrated that the degree of sintering and the dielectric properties can be controlled by introducing additives and changing the method of preparing the initial mixture. It is established that the synthesis of Ba₂Ti₉O₂₀ samples from the initial mixture obtained through the coprecipitation from aqueous solutions of chlorides makes it possible to improve the dielectric properties of the samples and to decrease the temperature and duration of their sintering.
