In wireless sensor networks (WSNs), data gathering is the main concern, since it directly affects the network lifetime and data latency. Rendezvous Point Selection Scheme (RPSS) is a mobile sink node approach; it offers superior performance than its preceding mobile sink schemes like Rendezvous Design for Variable Track (RD‐VT), RD‐VT with Steiner Minimum Tree (RD‐VT‐SMT), and Weight Rendezvous Planning with Steiner Minimum Tree (WRP‐SMT). However, a more uniform distribution of the rendezvous node leads to less energy consumption in WSNs. The more optimum path offers less data latency. In the proposed approach, we use particle swarm optimization (PSO) to find the optimum rendezvous point and adaptive PSO (APSO) to find an optimum path by solving the travelling salesman problem. By rigorous simulation, we prove that modified RPSS (M‐RPSS) increases the network lifetime by more than 10% and decreases the data latency.  相似文献

Vanadium doped Copper oxide (CO) thin films were prepared by the sol-gel dip-coating method. The properties of thin films were examined by X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD), UV–Visible-NIR spectrophotometry, and dielectric properties analyzer. The antibacterial and photocatalytic properties were also determined. XRD spectra revealed the dual-phase of copper oxide (cuprite and tenorite) for all percentages of V with no other impurity peak. Tauc's relation is used to probe the optical band gap which is reduced from 1.96 to 1.64 eV with an increase in vanadium doping percentage. The impurity band coalesces with the conduction band of copper oxide to decrease the band gap. Dielectric constant measurements reveal that the Ac conductivity of thin films increases with an increase in V doping percentage.  相似文献

Experimental investigation of use of horizontal wells in waterflooding   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
The present experimental study is conducted to investigate the effect of horizontal production well in waterflooding when conventional vertical production well stops oil production. Laboratory experiments have been performed on three-dimensional sand pack models. In the waterflooding experiments, the horizontal production well is turned on after the complete extraction of oil from the vertical production well. The experimental results show that horizontal well increases the ultimate recovery by waterflooding significantly when oil production stops from the conventional vertical production well. Moreover, the position of the horizontal well either at top or bottom of the sand pack has negligible effect on ultimate oil recovery for the sand packs used.  相似文献

α-Fe2O3 nanorods were synthesized via hydrothermal method. X-ray powder diffraction revealed the formation of rhombohedral α-Fe2O3 single crystal phase with fiber texture. Scanning and transmission electron micrographs analyses showed that the rhombohedral α-Fe2O3 has nanorods in shape with diameters of 40–85 nm and lengths of 150–45,000 nm. Isothermal magnetization vs. applied magnetic field curves measured at room and liquid nitrogen temperatures displayed a variation on magnetic ordering: from weak ferromagnetism at room temperature to not hysteretic behavior at liquid nitrogen temperature that is well described by a Langevin function. Moreover, the zero field cooling-field cooling curves under applied magnetic field of 100 Oe confirms the decreasing of Morin temperature transition due to nanometric size of the samples.  相似文献

One of the promising technologies for 5G cellular networks is machine‐to‐machine (M2M) communications. We propose a cognitive radio network (CR) that includes a primary cellular system and a secondary cognitive system. The primary cellular system has a primary client (PC) and the secondary cognitive system has M2M clients which are called secondary clients (SCs). In a conventional system of CR network based on orthogonal frequency division multiple access (CR‐OFDMA), when the primary client (PC) is absent, only one SC can obtain the idle spectrum. But, the SC must leave the spectrum when detecting the existence of the PC. So, the spectrum usage of this system is very low. This paper proposes a cooperative CR network based on nonorthogonal multiple access (CCR‐NOMA) for spectrum sensing using energy detection (ED) to allow multiple SCs to share the same frequency at the same time, but are differentiated according to the power domain or code domain, to improve spectrum efficiency of 5G communications and the transmission performance of CR network at the absence and presence of the PC. To evaluate the channel sensing performance of the ED technique in CCR‐NOMA, we derived a closed‐form expression between the achievable throughput and sensing time for the CCR‐NOMA system. The same analysis for the case of CR‐OFDMA is reproduced for the sake of comparison. The analysis showed that the CR‐NOMA system for M2M communication outperforms the CR‐OFDMA system for M2M communication for the same noncooperative and cooperative spectrum sensing and physical layer parameters.  相似文献

Mixed solutions of manganese sulfate and potassium permanganate were hydrothermally used to synthesis α-MnO2 nanowires. Energy dispersive analysis of X-ray revealed the formation of stoichiometric MnO2 and X-ray diffraction revealed the formation of single crystalline α-MnO2. Examinations using both SEM and TEM yielded nanowires with diameters ranged from 40 to 50 nm and lengths ranged from 5 to 6 µm. The magnetic properties revealed that the α-MnO2 NWs exhibit ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic characteristics at liquid nitrogen and room temperatures. This kind of materials may be find usage in electromagnetic shielding applications. Direct optical band gap of 2.6 eV, that was blue shifted from the bulk value, was reported. Photoluminescence examinations displayed a strong emission peak around 395 nm and broad peak around 477 nm. The α-MnO2 NWs showed a semiconducting behavior where the resistivity decreased with increasing temperature. Two activation energies were reported; the low temperature activation energy was 0.089 eV and the high temperature activation energy was 0.782 eV. Based on the observed high intensity UV emission peak, the obtained α-MnO2 NWs may find applications in UV light emitting diodes.  相似文献
