This paper presents an approach to assist authors during the authoring of multimedia presentations. We extend the existing authoring support by integrating processes of topic identification, content collection and discourse structure building in a single environment. This integration allows identification of the context of the authoring process. Our approach combines this process context awareness with explicit domain and discourse knowledge to steer system suggestions. We evaluate our approach with an experimental system prototype.  相似文献

A weighting algorithm to determine the coordinates of the center of a Gaussian laser beam projected onto a matrix photodetector is considered. The influence of the internal noise of the photodetector, the maximum brightness of the signal at the beam maximum, and the beam radius on the precision of the algorithm is investigated. The brain undergoes ionizing radiation exposure in many clinical situations, particularly during radiotherapy for brain tumors. The critical role of the hippocampus in the pathogenesis of radiation-induced neurocognitive dysfunction is well recognized. The goal of this study is to test the potential contribution of non-targeted effects in the detrimental response of the hippocampus to irradiation and to elucidate the mechanisms involved. C57Bl/6 mice were whole body (WBI) or partial body (PBI) irradiated with 0.1 or 2.0 Gy of X-rays or sham irradiated. PBI consisted of the exposure of the lower third of the mouse body, whilst the upper two thirds were shielded. Hippocampi were collected 15 days or 6 months post-irradiation and a multi-omics approach was adopted to assess the molecular changes in non-coding RNAs, proteins and metabolic levels, as well as histological changes in the rate of hippocampal neurogenesis. Notably, at 2.0 Gy the pattern of early molecular and histopathological changes induced in the hippocampus at 15 days following PBI were similar in quality and quantity to the effects induced by WBI, thus providing a proof of principle of the existence of out-of-target radiation response in the hippocampus of conventional mice. We detected major alterations in DAG/IP3 and TGF-β signaling pathways as well as in the expression of proteins involved in the regulation of long-term neuronal synaptic plasticity and synapse organization, coupled with defects in neural stem cells self-renewal in the hippocampal dentate gyrus. However, compared to the persistence of the WBI effects, most of the PBI effects were only transient and tended to decrease at 6 months post-irradiation, indicating important mechanistic difference. On the contrary, at low dose we identified a progressive accumulation of molecular defects that tended to manifest at later post-irradiation times. These data, indicating that both targeted and non-targeted radiation effects might contribute to the pathogenesis of hippocampal radiation-damage, have general implications for human health.  相似文献

We report the characterization of amphiphilic aminoglycoside conjugates containing luminophores with aggregation-induced emission properties as transfection reagents. These inherently luminescent transfection vectors are capable of binding plasmid DNA through electrostatic interactions; this binding results in an emission “on” signal due to restriction of intramolecular motion of the luminophore core. The luminescent cationic amphiphiles effectively transferred plasmid DNA into mammalian cells (HeLa, HEK 293T), as proven by expression of a red fluorescent protein marker. The morphologies of the aggregates were investigated by microscopy as well as ζ-potential and dynamic light-scattering measurements. The transfection efficiencies using luminescent cationic amphiphiles were similar to that of the gold-standard transfection reagent Lipofectamine® 2000.  相似文献

Biomorphous β-SiC ceramics were produced at 1400°C from pine wood impregnated with silica. This one-step carbothermal reduction process decreases the cost of manufacturing of SiC ceramics compared with siliconization of carbonized wood in silicon vapor. The synthesized sample exhibits a 14 m2/g surface area and has a hybrid pore structure with large 5–20 μm tubular macropores and small (<50 nm) slit-shaped mesopores. SiC whiskers of 20–400 nm in diameter and 5–20 μm in length formed within the tubular pores. These whiskers are expected to improve the filtration by removing dust particles that could otherwise penetrate through large pores. After ultrasonic milling, the powdered sample showed an average particle size of ∼30 nm. The SiC nanopowder produced in this process may be used for manufacturing SiC ceramics for structural, tribological, and other applications.  相似文献

Decision support in equipment condition monitoring systems with image processing is analyzed. Long-run accumulation of information about earlier made decisions is used to realize the adaptiveness of the proposed approach. It is shown that unlike conventional classification problems, the recognition of abnormalities uses training samples supplemented with reward estimates of earlier decisions and can be tackled using reinforcement learning algorithms. We consider the basic stages of contextual multi-armed bandit algorithms during which the probabilistic distributions of each state are evaluated to evaluate the current knowledge of the states, and the decision space is explored to increase the decision-making efficiency. We propose a new decision-making method, which uses the probabilistic neural network to classify abnormal situation and the softmax rule to explore the decision space. A modelling experiment in image processing was carried out to show that our approach allows a higher accuracy of abnormality detection than other known methods, especially for small-size initial training samples.  相似文献

The formation of LaSrNiO4-and LaSrScO4-based solid solutions with the general stoichiometry LaSrNi1 ? x ScxO4 (0 < x < 1) has been studied in air at temperatures from 700 to 1300°C. According to x-ray diffraction results, the former solid solutions exist in the composition range 0 < x ≤ 0.2. Their lattice parameters have been determined, and their resistivity and thermoelectric power have been measured as functions of temperature. Oxygen release and absorption measurements at temperatures from 20 to 1000°C and oxygen partial pressures from 2 to 330 Pa suggest that the presence of scandium has a stabilizing effect on the oxygen sublattice of the solid solutions. The possible mechanisms of this effect are discussed.  相似文献
