Atmospheric turbidity parameters have been determined following Angstrom's method at three locations in Bangladesh namely, Dhaka city (23.7°N) and two rural locations, Haripur (26.03°N) and Sripur (24.11°N). The parameters were obtained from direct solar radiation data for specific spectral regions and for the whole spectrum as measured using a normal incidence pyrheliometer provided with cut-off glass filters. A considerable variation of Angstrom's turbidity parameters for Dhaka over the year was observed with a maximum value in March. The value for Sripur for the month of March was somewhat lower and the value for Haripur for the month of April was not much different from that of Dhaka. Linke turbidity factor TL was also determined using the new value of solar constant 1367 W/m2 for all three locations. 相似文献

A new technique for multi-cell joint channel estimation (MCJCE) in time division code division multiple access based on singular value decomposition (SVD) reduced rank technique is proposed in this paper. MCJCE is one of the effective solutions to improve the mobile system performance throughout mitigate the inter-cell interference form the neighboring cells. The increasing complexity of multi-cell system model due to the additional processing of the interferer users will be solved by using SVD reduced rank technique, where a limited number of parameter that really need it to describe the channel matrix will be estimated. Two models of multi-cell approaches are discussed, the first one depended on reconstruct the convolutional midamble matrix of inactive users in serving cell by the strongest interferer users from the neighboring cells. The second one will be more inclusive to user traffic scenarios in mobile systems and will be expanding to contain all detected users. The simulation results prove the validity of the proposed reduced rank technique for precision channel estimation (6.4 and 5 dB) and (9 and 7 dB) for case 1 and 2 respectively; BER performance improvements over the conventional estimators. 相似文献

Enhanced Hydrogen Generation from Empty Fruit Bunches by Charcoal Addition into a Downdraft Gasifier
Hydrogen production by co-gasification of empty fruit bunches of palm oil could be enhanced by adding charcoal. Physiochemical characterization of raw feedstocks was performed to determine their exergy potentiality. The raw feedstocks, gasified charcoal, and the end product of produced gas were analyzed by different techniques. Gasification experiments were performed using a pilot-scale downdraft gasifier. The heating value, composition of product gas, yield of hydrogen, and exergy efficiency were used to verify the improvement of hydrogen production during the co-gasification process. Charcoal with empty fruit bunches of palm oil leads to a much higher yield of hydrogen than lower charcoal ratios or solely empty fruit bunches. This enhanced hydrogen fuel can contribute to future energy demand. 相似文献

The paper presents the electrical and thermo-mechanical design of single stage beam recovery system for 120 GHz, 1 MW gyrotron. The electrical study shows that the cylindrical shape single stage beam recovery system enhances the efficiency by 66.26%. The maximum power deposited to collector in depressed collector operation is 0.48 MW for electronic efficiency, 30% and 1.44 MW for DC electron beam. The thermo-mechanical analysis has been performed to evaluate the water cooling system. The cooling system has capability of accommodating a peak wall loading, 0.9 kW/cm2 at flow rate of 1500 l/min for safe operating time, 60 ms. This paper presents the design study of toroid shape filament heater for dispenser cathode.The filament heater will be used
in cathode assembly of 200 kW 42 GHz gyrotron. A 3 D model of cathode assembly is designed using electromagnetic and thermal
simulation software, ANSYS. The simulations are performed for optimizing the input filament heater power with respect to cathode
surface temperature. The parametric study shows that the input power and cathode surface temperature depends strongly on the
potting material, diameter of filament, number of turns, position and height of the filament heater with respect to cathode
pellet. The design analyses are also carried out for two different filament heater materials i.e. tungsten and molybdenum.
Further, the thermal, structural and transient analyses are also carried out to study the mechanical strength of the filament
heater. It is concluded that the input heater power should be greater than 200 W to achieve cathode surface temperature greater

The overloaded CDMA schemes exploited in direct sequence CDMA (DS-CDMA) systems are mainly to accommodate a greater number of users than the available spreading factor N. In this paper, a superposition coding CDMA (SPC-CDMA) with unequal error protection (UEP) is proposed as one of the overloaded CDMA schemes for the next generation mobile communication systems. It exploits the available power control in most base stations to adapt the transmitted power of active users in the uplink channel. In this scheme, the active users are divided into G groups and each group consists of K users. The K users share the same spreading sequence and are distinguished by different received power levels. At the receiver side, the system first performs despreading for group detection followed by multiuser receiver to estimate the K user signals in each group. It is shown through simulations that better performance are achieved compared to the conventional DS-CDMA and existing overloaded collaborative spreading CDMA (CS-CDMA) schemes, in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and fading channels. Hence, the proposed scheme maximizes the system capacity K-fold compared to conventional DS-CDMA system without requiring extra spreading codes, with average signal to noise ratio (SNR) cost of only 1dB and 2 dB over AWGN and fading channels respectively at BER of 10?3. On the other hand, for the same N, K and power constraints, SPC-CDMA scheme achieves twofold increase in data rate with 0.7 and 4 dB gains over AWGN and fading channels respectively, compared with overloaded CS-CDMA scheme in the same system capacity. The present study provides the first indication of the life‐history traits, including, population structure, growth pattern, condition factor, form factor (a3.0), size at first sexual maturity (Lm), natural mortality (MW) and optimum catchable length (Lopt), of three Ambassid (Chanda nama, Parambassis lala and Parambassis ranga) fishes from the Mathabhanga River in southwest Bangladesh. A total of 370 individuals were occasionally collected from August 2017 to July 2018 with cast nets, gill nets, square lift nets, and conical‐ and box‐traps. The total length (TL) ranged from 2.4 to 7.5 cm for C. nama, 1.9–3.8 cm for P. lala and 1.8–6.5 cm for P. ranga. The length‐frequency distributions (LFDs) showed the 4.0–5.0 cm TL size group for C. nama and the 3.0–4.0 cm TL size group were numerically dominant for P. lala and P. ranga. The length–weight relationships (LWRs) indicated isometric growth for C. nama, and positive allometric growth for P. lala and P. ranga. All the LWR values were very significant (p < .001), with all r2 values > .950. Based on the Spearman rank correlation test, body weight (BW) versus Fulton's‐condition factor (KF) was extremely correlated (p < .001), indicating a better wellbeing for these species. The a3.0 value was 0.0082, 0.0138 and 0.0104 for C. nama, P. lala and P. ranga, respectively. Based on the maximum length (Lmax), the Lm was 4.4 cm TL for C. nama, 2.5 cm TL for P. lala, and 4.0 cm TL for P. ranga. Based on the asymptotic length (L∞), the Lm was 4.88 cm TL for C. nama, 2.63 cm TL for P. lala, and 4.28 cm TL for P. ranga. The MW value was 2.2, 3.3 and 2.7/year for C. nama, P. lala and P. ranga, respectively. The optimum catchable length (Lopt) was 5.36 cm TL for C. nama, 2.75 cm TL for P. lala and 4.65 cm TL for P. ranga. The findings of the present study should be very useful for effective and sustainable management of these fishes in the Mathabhanga River and the connecting ecosystems. 相似文献
