Sunflower seed meal as protein source in nutrition of broiler . Partially dehulled and extracted Hungarian sunflower seed meal was used to replace soybean meal in broiler diets. 295 broiler chicks (Lohmann-Meat) were fed with experimental diets containing 13,26, and 39% sunflower seed meal supplemented with lysine and/or methionine in each ration as a substitute for soybean meal. Diets were formulated isonitrogenous and isoenergetic. Live weight gain and efficiency of feed utilization were similar between the experimental groups and differences were statistically not significant. Results of this work indicate that processed sunflower meal, supplemented with the limiting amino acids can possibly be used to replace soybean meal in diet, without adverse effects on performance or feed efficiency. 相似文献

Human embryonic stem (hES) cells are pluripotent cells derived from the inner cell mass cells of blastocysts with the potential to maintain an undifferentiated state indefinitely. Fully characterised hES cell lines express typical stem cell markers, possess high levels of telomerase activity, show normal karyotype and have the potential to differentiate into numerous cell types under in vitro and in vivo conditions. Therefore, hES cells are potentially valuable for the development of cell transplantation therapies for the treatment of various human diseases. However, there are a number of factors which may limit the medical application of hES cells: (a) continuous culture of hES cells in an undifferentiated state requires the presence of feeder layers and animal-based ingredients which incurs a risk of cross-transfer of pathogens; (b) hES cells demonstrate high genomic instability and non-predictable differentiation after long-term growth; and (c) differentiated hES cells express molecules which could cause immune rejection. In this review we summarise recent progress in the derivation and growth of undifferentiated hES cells and their differentiated progeny, and the problems associated with these techniques. We also examine the potential use of the therapeutic cloning technique to derive isogenic hES cells. 相似文献

Aerospace Clusters: Local or Global Knowledge Spillovers? 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The literature about regional innovation systems, clusters and industrial districts insists on the importance of local knowledge spillovers. Nevertheless, more recently a few authors have put in question the importance of local knowledge spillovers. This paper provides an analysis of some of the most dynamic aerospace clusters in the world, located in Montreal, Seattle, Toulouse and Toronto. We start by discussing theories of clustering, then provide research questions as well as empirical evidence on the international nature of knowledge spillovers. Local knowledge spillovers are less significant, of a different nature, and they may make a scanty contribution to explain the geographical agglomeration of firms. Conversely, international spillovers help to explain the relative dispersion of industry across nations. Resilient geographical clustering is related to the anchor tenant effects as creators of labour pools and owners of very large manufacturing plants creating regional inertia. We thus reject the local knowledge spillover explanation of aerospace clusters in favour of another one based on anchor firms and their effects on the local labour pool. 相似文献
