Sand corrosion, thermal expansion, and ablation properties of a new class of medium- and high-entropy compositionally complex fluorite oxides (CCFOs) are examined as potential protective coating materials. Five binary oxides were mixed and sintered into dense, single-phase CCFOs of the general formula: [Hf(1-2x)/3Zr(1-2x)/3Ce(1-2x)/3YxYbx]O2-δ (x = 0.2, 0.074, and 0.029). These CCFOs exhibit decreased molten sand infiltration and interaction at intermediate temperatures (1200-1300°C) in comparison with a cubic yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) reference; however, at higher temperatures, the trend is reversed due to the increased chemical reactivity. The equimolar high-entropy (Hf0.2Zr0.2Ce0.2Y0.2Yb0.2)O2-δ exhibits no grain boundary penetration by molten sand at all examined temperatures (1200°C-1500°C), although reaction and precipitation are significant. Moreover, these CCFOs exhibit higher intrinsic thermal expansion coefficients (CTE) than the YSZ reference, thereby being more compatible with Ni-based superalloys. The 8YSZ-like (Hf0.284Zr0.284Ce0.284Y0.074Yb0.074)O2-δ exhibits the highest CTE in this series of CCFOs due to oxygen clustering effects. Finally, these CCFOs also exhibit lower emissivities and form unique faceted microstructures in ablative environments.  相似文献

We propose a novel method for image reconstruction from nonuniform samples with no constraints on their locations. We adopt a variational approach where the reconstruction is formulated as the minimizer of a cost that is a weighted sum of two terms: (1) the sum of squared errors at the specified points and (2) a quadratic functional that penalizes the lack of smoothness. We search for a solution that is a uniform spline and show how it can be determined by solving a large, sparse system of linear equations. We interpret the solution of our approach as an approximation of the analytical solution that involves radial basis functions and demonstrate the computational advantages of our approach. Using the two-scale relation for B-splines, we derive an algebraic relation that links together the linear systems of equations specifying reconstructions at different levels of resolution. We use this relation to develop a fast multigrid algorithm. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach on some image reconstruction examples.  相似文献

Acid soluble collagen (ASC) and pepsin-soluble collagen (PSC) from the outer skin waste of marine eel fish (Evenchelys macrura) were isolated and characterized. The prepared collagen was used to test its effective drug delivering potential in vitro condition. Present results were confirmed as collagen by different physico-chemical techniques like SDS-PAGE, HPLC, FTIR and SEM. Further amino acid analysis corroborates isolation of type I collagen. Both ASC and PSC comprising two different α-chains (α 1 and α 2) were characterized as type I and contained imino acid of 190-200 residues, respectively. The denaturation temperatures (T(d)) of ASC and PSC were 38.5 and 35.0?°C, respectively, which is promising as an advantage for biomedical application due to closeness in T(d) to mammalian collagen. Furthermore, the gel and film forming capability of collagen samples containing implant standard antibiotic was proved to be a suitable drug delivering system.  相似文献

In this article, frequency tuning and circularly polarized concentric circular microstrip antenna is investigated. The proposed antenna consist of varactor diode for frequency tuning and branch line coupler (BLC) feed network to achieve the circular polarization (RHCP/LHCP). By changing the varactor diode capacitance between 12.33 pF (0 V) to 1.30 pF (15 V) attain the frequency tuning (2.34‐2.68 GHz). The right hand circular polarization (RHCP) and left hand circular polarizations (LHCP) are realized in the antenna through BLC feed network output ports. The impedance bandwidth (2.05‐3.13 GHz) of BLC feed network is well‐matched with the circular microstrip antenna frequency tunable bandwidth. The proposed antenna is fabricated, and simulated results are verified using the mathematical modeling and experimental verification.  相似文献

Scattered data approximation refers to the computation of a multi-dimensional function from measurements obtained from scattered spatial locations. For this problem, the class of methods that adopt a roughness minimization are the best performing ones. These methods are called variational methods and they are capable of handling contrasting levels of sample density. These methods express the required solution as a continuous model containing a weighted sum of thin-plate spline or radial basis functions with centres aligned to the measurement locations, and the weights are specified by a linear system of equations. The main hurdle in this type of method is that the linear system is ill-conditioned. Further, getting the weights that are parameters of the continuous model representing the solution is only a part of the effort. Getting a regular grid image requires re-sampling of the continuous model, which is typically expensive. We develop a computationally efficient and numerically stable method based on roughness minimization. The method leads to an algorithm that uses standard regular grid array operations only, which makes it attractive for parallelization. We demonstrate experimentally that we get these computational advantages only with a little compromise in performance when compared with thin-plate spline methods.  相似文献

The quantitative assessment of cardiac motion is a fundamental concept to evaluate ventricular malfunction. We present a new optical-flow-based method for estimating heart motion from two-dimensional echocardiographic sequences. To account for typical heart motions, such as contraction/expansion and shear, we analyze the images locally by using a local-affine model for the velocity in space and a linear model in time. The regional motion parameters are estimated in the least-squares sense inside a sliding spatiotemporal B-spline window. Robustness and spatial adaptability is achieved by estimating the model parameters at multiple scales within a coarse-to-fine multiresoluion framework. We use a wavelet-like algorithm for computing B-spline-weighted inner products and moments at dyadic scales to increase computational efficiency. In order to characterize myocardial contractility and to simplify the detection of myocardial dysfunction, the radial component of the velocity with respect to a reference point is color coded and visualized inside a time-varying region of interest. The algorithm was first validated on synthetic data sets that simulate a beating heart with a speckle-like appearance of echocardiograms. The ability to estimate motion from real ultrasound sequences was demonstrated by a rotating phantom experiment. The method was also applied to a set of in vivo echocardiograms from an animal study. Motion estimation results were in good agreement with the expert echocardiographic reading.  相似文献

The hetero-Fenton catalyst Fe(III)-Al2O3 was prepared and characterised by ICP-AES, FT-IR and SEM-EDX. A detailed investigation of photocatalytic degradation of Acid Violet 7 (AV 7) using this Fenton immobilised Al2O3 catalyst was carried out. The optimal reaction conditions for the photodegradation of AV 7 with this catalyst are reported. Higher efficiency of the catalyst in solar light than in UV light makes this heterophoto-Fenton degradation, a green technological process. The catalyst is found to be stable and reusable. The completion of degradation has also been confirmed by chemical oxygen demand (COD) measurements.  相似文献
