Since the introduction of the sparse representation-based tracking method named ?1 tracker, there have been further studies into this tracking framework with promised results in challenging video sequences. However, in the situation of large illumination changes and shadow casting, the tracked object cannot be modeled efficiently by sparse representation templates. To overcome this problem, we propose a new illumination invariant tracker based on photometric normalization techniques and the sparse representation framework. With photometric normalization methods, we designed a new illumination invariant template presentation for tracking that eliminates the illumination influences, such as brightness variation and shadow casting. For a higher tracking accuracy, we introduced a strategy that adaptively selects the optimum template presentation at the update step of the tracking process. The experiments show that our approach outperforms the previous ?1 and some state-of-the-art algorithms in tracking sequences with severe illumination effects.  相似文献

Fair bandwidth allocation (FBA) has been studied in optical burst switching (OBS) networks, with the main idea being to map the max-min fairness in traditional IP networks to the fair-loss probability in OBS networks. This approach has proven to be fair in terms of the bandwidth allocation for differential connections, but the use of the ErlangB formula to calculate the theoretical loss probability has made this approach applicable only to Poisson flows. Furthermore, it is necessary to have a reasonable fairness measure to evaluate FBA models. This article proposes an approach involving throughput-based-FBA, called TFBA, and recommends a new fairness measure that is based on the ratio of the actual throughput to the allocated bandwidth. An analytical model for the performance of the output link with TFBA is also proposed.  相似文献

Rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L.) peel (RBP) is discarded as the main by‐product during processing of the fruit. Increasing attention is now paid to the valorization of RBP for the recovery of valuable compounds. Geraniin, ellagic acid, quercetin, and rutin are the main phenolic compounds found in methanolic RBP extract. Extracted rambutan peel powder (ERPP) is used to evaluate the oxidative stability of soybean oil stored at 4 and 30 °C in the dark and light and deep fried with potatoes at 160 °C. Tert‐butylhydroquinone (100 µg g?1 oil, TBHQ) serves as positive control. Oil supplemented with ERPP of 1000 µg gallic acid equivalents (GAE) g?1 of oil shows positive effects on the retardation of the oxidation process during storage in comparison with oil without addition. During deep frying, either ERPP (1000 µg GAE g?1) or TBHQ retards the lipid oxidation of oil. Levels of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances of potatoes fried in oil fortified with the extract and TBHQ (0.4–0.59 µg g?1) are much lower than those without the extract (1.31 ± 0.10 µg g?1) (p < 0.05). Therefore, RBP extract exhibits favorable antioxidant effects and can be used for effectively inhibiting lipid oxidation in oil during storage and deep frying. Practical Applications: An extract from rambutan fruit peel containing phenolic compounds, that is, geraniin, ellagic acid, rutin, and quercetin showed promising results to be used as potential antioxidants in soybean oil during deep frying. Both oxidation of the frying oil as well as the oxidation of the food product, that is, potatoes were inhibited. These results demonstrated that rambutan fruit peel extract can be used as a natural antioxidant in frying oil to replace synthetic antioxidants, that is, TBHQ.  相似文献

Superresolution reconstruction produces a high-resolution image from a set of low-resolution images. Previous iterative methods for superresolution had not adequately addressed the computational and numerical issues for this ill-conditioned and typically underdetermined large scale problem. We propose efficient block circulant preconditioners for solving the Tikhonov-regularized superresolution problem by the conjugate gradient method. We also extend to underdetermined systems the derivation of the generalized cross-validation method for automatic calculation of regularization parameters. The effectiveness of our preconditioners and regularization techniques is demonstrated with superresolution results for a simulated sequence and a forward looking infrared (FLIR) camera image sequence.  相似文献

Construction projects can involve a diverse range of stakeholders and the success of the project depends very much on fulfilling their needs and expectations. It is important, therefore, to identify and recognize project stakeholders and develop a rigorous stakeholder management process. However, limited research has investigated the impact of stakeholders on construction projects in developing countries. A stakeholder impact analysis (SIA), based on an approach developed by Olander (2007), was adopted to investigate the stakeholders’ impact on state‐owned civil engineering projects in Vietnam. This involved the analysis of a questionnaire survey of 57 project managers to determine the relative importance of different stakeholders. The results show the client to have the highest level of impact on the projects, followed by project managers and the senior management of state‐owned engineering firms. The SIA also provides suggestions to project managers in developing and evaluating the stakeholder management process.  相似文献

Monomeric gold (Au) and silver (Ag) nanoparticle (NP) arrays are self‐assembled uniformly into anodized aluminium oxide (AAO) nanopores with a high homogeneity of greater than 95%, using ultrasonication. The monomeric metal NP array exhibits asymmetric plasmonic absorption due to Fano‐like resonance as interpreted by finite‐difference time‐domain (FDTD) simulation for the numbers up to 127 AuNPs. To examine gap distance‐dependent collective‐plasmonic resonance, the different dimensions of S, M, and L arrays of the AuNP diameters/the gap distances of ≈36 nm/≈66 nm, ≈45 nm/≈56 nm, and ≈77 nm/≈12 nm, respectively, are prepared. Metal NP arrays with an invariable nanogap of ≈50 nm can provide consistent surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) intensities for Rhodamine 6G (Rh6G) with a relative standard deviation (RSD) of 3.8–5.4%. Monomeric arrays can provide an effective platform for 2D hot‐electron excitation, as evidenced by the SERS peak‐changes of 4‐nitrobenzenethiol (4‐NBT) adsorbed on AgNP arrays with a power density of ≈0.25 mW µm‐2 at 514 and 633 nm. For practical purposes, the bacteria captured by 4‐mercaptophenylboronic acid are found to be easily destroyed under visible laser excitation at 514 nm with a power density of ≈14 mW µm‐2 for 60 min using Ag due to efficient plasmonic‐electron transfer.  相似文献

Traffic congestion is a growing problem in many countries around the world. It has been recognized that instead of constructing more roads and freeways to counter this problem it is prudent to improve the utilization of existing road network through a judicious combination of advances in control engineering, communication and information technology. The traffic control architecture proposed in this paper is a combination of communicating Urban Traffic Control Architecture (UTCA) and Freeway Traffic Control Architecture (FTCA). The UTCA combines context-awareness, Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) principles, and Autonomic Computing System (ACS) principles to optimize traffic congestion and enforce safety in urban traffic network. The UTCA includes a network of adaptive intersection traffic controllers and their immediate supervisory systems, who are also networked. The central piece of each traffic controller is an arbiter, which is a mini CPS. It is aware of the traffic dynamics at the intersection managed by it, by virtue of continuous input from monitoring sensors. Due to this context-awareness ability and its communication ability to exchange traffic information with its neighbors, it can execute policy-based reactions in order to enable safe and efficient traffic throughput at its intersection. Each urban traffic supervisory system is designed with ACS principles in order to minimize downtime caused by environmental emergencies and maximize security of the subsystem under it. A supervisory subsystem will also collect global traffic flow information and contextual constraints from its neighbors. Based on this input it will modify policies and communicate them to its traffic controller for timely adaptation. The urban traffic flowing into freeway traffic will be mediated by Intelligent Ramp Meters (IRM). An IRM interacts with the urban traffic control system and its nearest Intelligent Roadside Unit (IRSU) to regulate the flow of traffic from urban to freeway network. The FTCA consists of a network of mutually interacting IRSUs which monitor traffic flow, communicate with IRMs for providing traffic guidance for freeway drivers. An IRSU will communicate with the vehicles in the zone managed by it in order to provide information on rerouting when road and weather conditions warrant it. It also facilitates exchange of information between vehicles, guide them in lane changes and maintaining safe distance in order to avoid collision.  相似文献

Superresolution produces high-quality, high-resolution images from a set of degraded, low-resolution images where relative frame-to-frame motions provide different looks at the scene. Superresolution translates data temporal bandwith into enhanced spatial resolution. If considered together on a reference grid, given low-resolution data are nonuniformly sampled. However, data from each frame are sampled regularly on a rectangular grid. This special type of nonuniform sampling is called interlaced sampling. We propose a new wavelet-based interpolation-restoration algorithm for superresolution. Our efficient wavelet interpolation technique takes advantage of the regularity and structure inherent in interlaced data, thereby significantly reducing the computational burden. We present one- and two-dimensional superresolution experiments to demonstrate the effectiveness of our algorithm.This work was supported in part by the National Science Foundartion Grant CCR-9984246.  相似文献
