Ferrites are an important group of magnetic materials which are used as absorbers. The incorporation of ferrite and conducting polymer achieves great enhancement in microwave absorption properties. The nanocomposites of hexagonal ferrites embedded by conducting polymers such as polypyrrole, polyaniline and polythiophene (PTH) have been paid much attention. In the present study, strontium hexagonal ferrite doped by Zr and Zn with the final formula of SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19 considering x = 0.9 and embedded by PTH was produced to achieve a nanocomposite with the highest microwave absorbing ability. In this study, after synthesis of SrFe12O19(ZrZn)0.5xO19 and PTH, the nanocomposite was prepared by in situ polymerization. Wrapping the ferrite particles and PTH chains could form nanocomposite properly, and therefore acceptable interactions were observable between SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19ferrite particles and PTH polymer chains in the composites. Assessing the X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19, PTH, and PTH/SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19 nanocomposite indicated that the PTH characteristic peak shifts slightly and its peak intensity reduces, which may be attribute to the coating of PTH polymer chains onto SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19 particles. We revealed also lower magnetic properties in the obtained nanocomposite. The morphological assessment also suggested that PTH could effectively coat the SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19 particles. The synergistic effect of SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19 particle plus PTH leads to microwave absorption percentage higher than 95% by PTH/SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19 nanocomposite. Overall, nanocomposite creating by coupling interaction between SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19 particles (x = 0.9) and PTH can effectively lead to achieve the highest rate of absorption of electromagnetic waves.  相似文献

Here, we report that COVID-19 hospitalization rates follow an exponential relationship with age, doubling for every 16 years of age or equivalently increasing by 4.5% per year of life (R2 = 0.98). This mirrors the well-studied exponential decline of both thymus volume and T-cell production, which halve every 16 years. COVID-19 can therefore be added to the list of other diseases with this property, including those caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, MERS-CoV, West Nile virus, Streptococcus pneumoniae and certain cancers, such as chronic myeloid leukaemia and brain cancers. In addition, the incidence of severe disease and mortality due to COVID-19 are both higher in men, consistent with the degree to which thymic involution (and the decrease in T-cell production with age) is more severe in men compared to women. Since these properties are shared with some non-contagious diseases, we hypothesized that the age dependence does not come from social-mixing patterns, i.e. that the probability of hospitalization given infection rises exponentially, doubling every 16 years. A Bayesian analysis of daily hospitalizations, incorporating contact matrices, found that this relationship holds for every age group except for the under 20s. While older adults have fewer contacts than young adults, our analysis suggests that there is an approximate cancellation between the effects of fewer contacts for the elderly and higher infectiousness due to a higher probability of developing severe disease. Our model fitting suggests under 20s have 49–75% additional immune protection beyond that predicted by strong thymus function alone, consistent with increased juvenile cross-immunity from other viruses. We found no evidence for differences between age groups in susceptibility to infection or infectiousness to others (given disease state), i.e. the only important factor in the age dependence of hospitalization rates is the probability of hospitalization given infection. These findings suggest the existence of a T-cell exhaustion threshold, proportional to thymic output and that clonal expansion of peripheral T-cells does not affect disease risk. The strikingly simple inverse relationship between risk and thymic T-cell output adds to the evidence that thymic involution is an important factor in the decline of the immune system with age and may also be an important clue in understanding disease progression, not just for COVID-19 but other diseases as well.  相似文献

Supersonic jet pumps are simple devices with no moving parts, where a high velocity (primary) flow is used to pump a second fluid. In this paper, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is combined with an optimization framework in order to develop a tool for the rapid generation of jet pump designs. A key feature of the problem formulation is the transformation of the jet pump design parameters in terms of geometric ratios. This approach dramatically reduces the number of unrealistic designs covered by the Design of Experiments. Optimal Latin Hypercubes for surrogate model building and model validation points are constructed using a permutation genetic algorithm and design points are evaluated using CFD. Surrogate models of primary and entrained flow rates are built using a Moving Least Squares approach. A series of optimizations for various pump sizes are performed using a genetic algorithm and Sequential Quadratic Programming, with responses calculated from the surrogates. This approach results in a set of optimized designs, from which pumps for a wide range of flow rates can be interpolated.  相似文献

Dysfluency and stuttering are a break or interruption of normal speech such as repetition, prolongation, interjection of syllables, sounds, words or phrases and involuntary silent pauses or blocks in communication. Stuttering assessment through manual classification of speech dysfluencies is subjective, inconsistent, time consuming and prone to error. This paper proposes an objective evaluation of speech dysfluencies based on the wavelet packet transform with sample entropy features. Dysfluent speech signals are decomposed into six levels by using wavelet packet transform. Sample entropy (SampEn) features are extracted at every level of decomposition and they are used as features to characterize the speech dysfluencies (stuttered events). Three different classifiers such as k-nearest neighbor (kNN), linear discriminant analysis (LDA) based classifier and support vector machine (SVM) are used to investigate the performance of the sample entropy features for the classification of speech dysfluencies. 10-fold cross validation method is used for testing the reliability of the classifier results. The effect of different wavelet families on the classification performance is also performed. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed features and classification algorithms give very promising classification accuracy of 96.67% with the standard deviation of 0.37 and also that the proposed method can be used to help speech language pathologist in classifying speech dysfluencies.  相似文献

Due to rapid changes of markets and pressures of competitions, industries are adopting their production ways to support diversity of customer’s needs and increase of new product developments. This paper deals with development of an agent-based architecture of dynamic systems for process planning in the manufacturing systems. In consideration of alternative manufacturing processes and machine tools, the process plans and the schedules of the manufacturing resources are generated incrementally and dynamically. A previously proposed negotiation protocol is customized and improved to generate suitable process plans for the target products real-timely and dynamically, based on the alternative manufacturing processes. The alternative manufacturing processes are presented by the process plan networks and the suitable process plans are searched and generated to cope with both the dynamic status and disturbances of the manufacturing systems. We initiatively combine the heuristic search algorithms of the process plan networks with the negotiation protocols, in order to generate suitable process plans.  相似文献

Following the Kleinian spirit, this study takes a critical view of the existing orthodoxy within information systems (IS) and reframes the ongoing discussion concerning the intellectual core, identity and disciplinary status of IS using the disciplinary analysis of Michel Foucault and Stephen Toulmin. Instead of limiting the discussion to specific paradigms, topics, subjects or content, it focuses on the characteristics, rules and goals of IS as an academic field. A disciplinary lens is used to frame what it means to be a field, discipline and science, and in the process the study uncovers four doxas that have shaped the development of the IS field: (1) the IS research community sees no difference between fields, disciplines or sciences; (2) IT changes so rapidly, and thus the IS field needs to change to remain relevant; (3) disciplines are by definition rigid, inflexible and uni-theoretical and (4) because IS is pluralistic, IS should not become a discipline. This study's analyses of the IS field's discursive formation and intellectual ideals offer novel perspectives that allow for the integration of the IS field's plurality and diversity. To transform the IS field from its multimodal existence into a vibrant, diverse, academically and socially relevant and influential discipline, the study proposes actionable strategies that include (1) agreeing on the intellectual ideals for IS, (2) focusing on conceptual formation, (3) focusing on theory construction, (4) erecting genealogical boundaries and (5) fostering the development of professional bodies.  相似文献

We use the cylindrical algebraic decomposition algorithms implemented in Mathematica to produce procedures to analytically compute integrals over polynomially defined regions and their boundaries in two and three dimensions. Using these results, we can implement the divergence theorem in three dimensions or the Green's theorems in two dimensions. These theorems are of central importance in the applications of multidimensional integration. They also provide a strong correctness test for the implementation of our results in a computer algebra system. The resulting software can solve many of the two and some of the three dimensional integration problems in vector calculus textbooks. The three dimensional results are being extended. The results in this paper are being included in an automated student assistant for vector calculus.  相似文献

The paper presents a novel split-and-merge algorithm for hierarchical clustering of Gaussian mixture models, which tends to improve on the local optimal solution determined by the initial constellation. It is initialized by local optimal parameters obtained by using a baseline approach similar to k-means, and it tends to approach more closely to the global optimum of the target clustering function, by iteratively splitting and merging the clusters of Gaussian components obtained as the output of the baseline algorithm. The algorithm is further improved by introducing model selection in order to obtain the best possible trade-off between recognition accuracy and computational load in a Gaussian selection task applied within an actual recognition system. The proposed method is tested both on artificial data and in the framework of Gaussian selection performed within a real continuous speech recognition system, and in both cases an improvement over the baseline method has been observed.  相似文献

This paper demonstrates a new hierarchical Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation algorithm using the Russian Doll Model (RDM) to allocate bandwidth for intra-Optical Network Unit (ONU) in an Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON). The allocation of bandwidth is based on the classification and prioritization of service. The algorithm addresses the requests of ONUs and provides differentiated services by balancing priority and fairness. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm performs well in supporting the triple-play services, i.e. video, voice, and data, as well as making effective adjustment in balancing bandwidth sharing between the ONUs compared with two other existing Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) algorithm. The proposed algorithms shows significant performance improvements in terms of bandwidth utilization, packet delay and the fairness.  相似文献
