Water drops and water flows exhibit interesting motion behavior. In this paper, we adopt a simple but effective approach for simulating this behavior on glass panes in a physically plausible manner. We combine a particle system and a height map to compute their movements and shapes. Our approach efficiently handles the merging of water drops and the formation of residual water droplets. We report our results for several examples of water behavior simulated in real time. The experimental results show that our system simulates water drops and water flows with high quality.  相似文献

This study successfully develops a versatile method of producing superhydrophobic surfaces with micro/nano-silica hierarchical structures on glass surfaces. Optically transparent super hydrophobic silica thin films were prepared by spin-coating silica particles suspended in a precursor solution of silane, ethanol, and H2O with molar ratio of 1:4:4. The resulting super hydrophobic films were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), optical transmission, and contact angle measurements. The glass substrates in this study were modified with different particles: micro-silica particles, nano-silica particles, and hierarchical structures. This study includes SEM micrographs of the modified glass surfaces with hierarchical structures at different magnifications.  相似文献

The goal of this study is to compare the influence of celebrity endorsements to online customer reviews on female shopping behavior. Based on AIDMA and AISAS models, we design an experiment to investigate consumer responses to search good and experience good respectively. The results revealed that search good (shoes) endorsed by a celebrity in an advertisement evoked significantly more attention, desire, and action from the consumer than did an online customer review. We also found that online customer reviews emerged higher than the celebrity endorsement on the scale of participants’ memory, search and share attitudes toward the experience good (toner). Implications for marketers as well as suggestions for future research are discussed.  相似文献

In the present study we discuss the challenge of “Scientometrics 2.0” as introduced by Priem and Hemminger (2010) in the light of possible applications to research evaluation. We use the Web of Science subject category public, environmental and occupational health to illustrate how indicators similar to those used in traditional scientometrics can be built, and we also discuss their opportunities and limitations. The discipline under study combines life sciences and social sciences in a unique manner and provides usable metrics reflecting both scholarly and wider impact. Nonetheless, metrics reflecting social media attention like tweets, retweets and Facebook likes, shares or comments are still subject to limitations in this research discipline as well. Furthermore, Usage metrics clearly point to the manipulation proneness of this measure. Although the counterparts of important bibliometric indicators proved to work for several altmetrics too, their interpretation and application to research assessment requires proper context analysis.

In this paper the geochemical characteristics of rare earth elements in Guposhan granite complex in NanlingArea,South China,is systematically studied,and the balance of REE distribution in rock-forming minerals,which contain only 21.47~29.71 wt% of total REE in granites,is calculated.The petrogenetic relationship be-tween three different stages of the granites in the complex is discussed,and a geochemical model is suggested forthe formation of granitic magma in early stage by partial melting of the crustal basement rocks containing moreREE than that in the late stage.It shows that a ion-adsorption type of REE deposit could ocuur in the weath-ering crust on the early stage granite.Rb-Sr isotope isochron dating of the first stage medium-coarse-grainedK-feldspar granite shows that its age is 146.5 Ma and initial ~(87)Sr/~(86)Sr ratio is 0.71198.  相似文献

Works in literature proposed the use of the rheological properties of wastewater sludges as an index for conditioner assessment and control. We demonstrated in this work, on the contrary, that one could not justify the consistency of the commonly used rheological characteristics of the sewage sludge samples taken from the same site but at different dates. A physically relevant index was proposed instead for describing the total network strength, which was hypothesized to correlate the dewatering efficiency of flocculated sludge. Based on this index, the network of a sludge was demonstrated to be largely destroyed after shearing, while the relaxation in an unbound environment or mild pouring over action could partially reinstall the structure. Moreover, a uniform shear rate field could produce network of greater strength when compared with that conditioned in a stirred tank.  相似文献
