A concise process technology for 3-D suspended radio frequency micro-inductors on silicon substrate

In this letter, a concise process technology is proposed for the first time to enable the fabrication of good quality three-dimensional (3-D) suspended radio frequency (RF) micro-inductors on bulk silicon, without utilizing the lithography process on sidewall and trench-bottom patterning. Samples were fabricated to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed process technology.     

Preparation of flexible polyhedral particles via concentrated emulsion templating polymerization

This paper presents recent efforts on the preparation of flexible polyhedral particles via concentrated emulsion templating polymerization in which the hydrophilic monomer (acrylamide) and hydrophobic monomer (butyl acrylate) are polymerized simultaneously in the continuous and dispersed phase, respectively. Such templating polymerization has been enhanced in our systems owing to the introduction of acrylamide monomer and their higher polymerization rate in continuous phase as compared with butyl acrylate in dispersed phase. Diffusion between the different phases was also inhibited. Furthermore, the stability of the concentrated emulsion and the molecular weight of the produced poly(butyl acrylate) were found to be significantly affected by the amount of redox initiator. The morphology of the particles could be controlled by varying the volume fraction of the dispersed phase and the polyhedral particles were achieved at higher volume fraction. 研究了富氧燃烧技术对梭式窑烧成的影响.研究结果表明,随着氧浓度从21%-30%的逐渐增加,CO总浓度和NO总浓度都先明显下降,后缓慢上升;节能效果在初始段较为明显,而后效果不明显;而实际烟气量与氧浓度成反比,与过剩空气系数成正比.     

Modelling biological processes under anaerobic conditions through integrating titrimetric and off-gas measurements-applied to EBPR systems.

An innovative method for modelling biological processes under anaerobic conditions is presented and discussed. The method is based on titrimetric and off-gas measurements. Titrimetric data is recorded as the addition rate of hydroxyl ions or protons that is required to maintain pH in a bioreactor at a constant level. An off-gas analysis arrangement measures, among other things, the transfer rate of carbon dioxide. The integration of these signals results in a continuous signal which is solely related to the biological reactions. When coupled with a mathematical model of the biological reactions, the signal allows a detailed characterisation of these reactions, which would otherwise be difficult to achieve. Two applications of the method to the enhanced biological phosphorus removal processes are presented and discussed to demonstrate the principle and effectiveness of the method.

Analysis of characteristic odors from human male axillae

A number of studies concerning the analysis of axillary odors have assumed that the characteristic odor produced in the axillae is due to volatile steroids and isovaleric acid. Organoleptic evaluation of Chromatographic eluants from axillary extracts was employed to isolate the region in the chromatogram where the characteristic odor eluted. The odor of the dissolved eluant was eliminated when it was treated with base, suggesting that acids make up the characteristic axillary odor. Subsequent extraction of the pH-adjusted axillary extract in conjunction with organoleptic evaluation of the Chromatographic eluant, preparative gas chromatography, and analysis by GC-MS as well as GC-FTIR showed the presence of a number of C₆ to C₁₁ straight-chain, branched, and unsaturated acids as important contributors to the axillary odor. The major odor component is (E)-3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid. Three homologous series of minor components are also important odor contributors; these consist of the terminally unsaturated acids, the 2-methyl-C₆ to -C₁₀ acids and the 4-ethyl-C₅ to -C₁₁ acids. These types of acids have not been reported previously as components of the human axillary secretions and have not been proposed previously as part of the principal odor components in this area.     

深大露天矿综合开采工艺主要设计参数的研究

深大露天矿的间断向半连续开采工艺过渡时，合理深度及半连续开采工艺的移设步距是两个重要的开采参数，对矿山的经济效果影响巨大，本文首次提出采用组合台阶单位体的开采来分析确定这两个重要的参数，得到的结论在霍林河煤矿的应用中取得了满意的结果，对其它类似矿山具有应用价值。     

Microstructure study of Sm,Mn-modified PbTiO3 piezoelectric ceramics by XRD profile-fitting technique

By using the X-ray diffraction profile-fitting technique, the microstructures of Sm, Mn-modified PbTiO₃ piezoelectric ceramic discs, including ferroelectric domain sizes, microstrains, and their variations with the poling strength have been quantitatively investigated. The results manifest that the modified PbTiO₃ ceramics contain a high density of domain walls due to the presence of finely-divided coherent domain structures (tens of nanometres in dimension). The poling treament can evidently influence the domain-size distribution, with a more homogeneous microstructure being developed; however, it simultaneously causes high anisotropic microstrains within the structure which, together with the high density of domain walls, is expected to be responsible for the unusual high electromechanical coupling properties possessed by this material.
