医学生上网情况的调查与研究

目的:了解医学生的上网情况。方法:采用"医学生上网调查问卷",在七个不同专业500名学生中进行问卷调查。结果:有95.16%学生上网,上网学生中30.25%每次上网3h以上;上网目的以聊天、多媒体娱乐和玩游戏为主。结论:青年群体是网上的主力军,应警惕大学生网上迷路,鼓励上网学生要以理智态度控制上网时间,老师和学校应给予学生上网以恰当的引导和教育。     

Minimization of interfaces and interconnections in a digital system satisfying concurrency constraints

The problem of minimizing the number of links and buses in a digital system subject to a given set of concurrency constraints among data transfers is studied. The notion of the transfer graph (TG) is introduced which depicts the data transfer paths and concurrency requirements in the system, A very simple node labelling procedure is applied on the nodes of the TG, which enables one to make a direct assignment of transfers to buses without going through any elaborate computational steps.     

Modelling and simulation of combinational digital circuits using Petri nets

The P-model approach of modeling a combinational digital network using Petri nets is introduced. In this model a given logic circuit its represented by a graph With only two types of nodes, places and transitions. A logic 1 value in any line of the circuit corresponds to the presence of a so-called token, and a logic 0 corresponds to the absence of tokens, in the corresponding place of the P-model. The operation of the circuit is reflected in the execution of the P-model resulting from the firing of transitions. Several minimizing transformations in the P-model domain are discussed, which reduces the number of places and transitions by an order of magnitude. Based on this P-model representation of a logic circuit, a logic simulation algorithm is outlined. The method is faster and also simpler to implement than conventional simulation techniques.

Optimum harvesting policy for an age-structured forest

In this paper, an attempt has been made to develop a model for determining the optimal policy for felling and planting trees of a particular species in a forest, in order to maximize the total yield over a specified period of time. The model takes into account not only the time at which trees should be felled but also how many trees and of what age.     

APPLICATION OF A PERTURBATION THEORY FOR EVALUATION ALGORITHMS FOR IDENTIFICATION OF A CONTINUOUS PLANT FROM DISCRETE DATA

Abstract

A perturbation theory for evaluation algorithms of arithmetic expressions is applied to the generalized least-squares identification of the continuous parameters by using nonperiodic discrete data. The sampling instants are distributed in such a way that a sequence of the elemental arithmetic expressions of the identification algorithm are suboptimized according to bang-bang rules on the extrema of appropriate variation intervals. The weighting scalars in the generalized least-squares method are updated with the same purpose.     

INTERACTION OF GRAVITY AND ELECTROSTATIC EFFECTS IN PIPE FLOW OF A GAS-PARTICLE SUSPENSION

ABSTRACT

The interaction of gravity and electrostatic effects in isothermal, fully developed, horizontal turbulent pipe flow of dilute suspensions has been examined. Experimental study has validated the fact that, in the presence of gravity, increased space charge associated with increased local concentration due to gravity accentuates the asymmetry in mass flux and particles density distributions in the vertical plane passing through the pipe centerline. The space charge effect on the particle mass flux distribution near the pipe bottom is enhanced by increased particle density. Measurements were made with air suspensions of monodispensed particles of alumina and latex with non-uniform particle charge in pipes of 51 mm and 127 mm diameters.     

Radiometric studies of transportation of water vapour over Calcutta

A characteristic feature of the lingering of post-rain attenuation over Calcutta, India, has been observed by 22·235 GH_z radiometer. This feature is presumably due to the injection of extra water vapour during the post-rain period in the presence of large ambient humidity and low wind activity. Experimentally observed post-rain attenuation was found to be mostly due to the vertical diffusion of water vapour into the raining zone, the contribution due to horizontal diffusion being small compared to that of the vertical diffusion.     

Stability of composite systems with an asymptotically hyperstable subsystem

In this note, it is proved that stability of composite systems including parallel subsystems can be achieved for certain sets of initial conditions and additional stability assumptions for the non-hyperstable subsystems. It is required that at least one subsystem be asymptotically hyperstable.     

NITROSAMINES IN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

A limited survey was carried out to determine the nitrosamine content of several varieties of alcoholic beverages (beer and ale, whiskey, wine, cider, etc.) sold in Canada. Of 22 samples of different beers and ales analyzed all but one contained traces of dimethylnitrosamine; the overall mean level found was 1.5 ppb. Only one Canadian rye and one Scotch whiskey out of a total of 13 samples contained traces of either dimethylnitrosamine or diethylnitrosamine. All the 8 wines and 7 cider samples were negative.
