A new and efficient method for preparation of optically active poly(styrene–divinylbenzene) copolymers (PS-DVB) is presented here. This is carried out by Friedel–Crafts acylation reaction of chiral N-phthaloyl
-leucine acid chloride with PS-DVB beads in the presence of aluminum chloride as Lewis acid catalyst and 1,2-dichloroethane as the solvent at ambient temperature. Reagents’ amounts and reaction conditions are mentioned and four samples with different amounts of functionality have been prepared. Final products were characterized by FT-IR and elemental analysis. The results obtained confirm that the above modification in preparation of chiral supported PS-DVB has been achieved well and in moderate yield. 相似文献

A number of recent initiatives in both academia and industry have sought to achieve improvements in e-businesses through the
utilization of Business Process Management (BPM) methodologies and tools. However there are still some inadequacies that need
to be addressed when it comes to achieving alignment between business goals and business processes. The User Requirements
Notation (URN), recently standardized by ITU-T, has some unique features and capabilities beyond what is available in other
notations that can help address alignment issues. In this paper, a URN-based framework and its supporting toolset are introduced
which provide business process monitoring and performance management capabilities integrated across the BPM lifecycle. The
framework extends the URN notation with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other concepts to measure and align processes
and goals. An example process for controlling access to a healthcare data warehouse is used to illustrate and evaluate the

Elucidation of the molecular mechanism of silver nanoparticle (AgNP) synthesis is necessary to control nanoparticle size, shape, and monodispersity. In this study, the mechanism of AgNP formation by Neurospora intermedia was investigated. The higher production rate of AgNP formation using a culture supernatant heat‐treated at 100° and 121°C relative to that with an un‐treated culture supernatant indicated that the native form of the molecular species is not essential. The effect of the protein molecular weight (MW) on the nanoparticle size distribution and average size was studied by means of ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy and dynamic light scattering. Using un‐treated and concentrated cell‐free filtrate passed through 10 and 20 kDa cut‐off filters led to the production of AgNPs with average sizes of 25, 30, and 34 nm, respectively. Also, using the permeate fraction of cell‐free filtrate passed through a 100 kDa cut‐off filter led to the formation of the smallest nanoparticles with the narrowest size distribution (average size of 16 nm and polydispersity index of 0.18). Iron‐oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) have been widely favoured due to their biodegradable, low cytotoxic effects and having reactive surface which can be altered with biocompatible coatings. Considering various medical applications of IONPs, the authors were encouraged to study whether IONPs could be effective against fungal infections caused by Candida species. In this study, IONPs were characterised by scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and vibrating sample magnetometer. The goal of this study was to evaluate the antifungal activity of IONPs against different Candida spp. compared with fluconazole (FLC). IONPs were spherical with the size of 30–40 nm. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum fungicidal concentration (MFC) values of IONPs ranged from 62.5 to 500 µg/ml and 500 to 1000 μg/ml, respectively. The MIC and MFC of FLC were in range of 16–128 μg/ml and 64–512 μg/ml, respectively. The growth inhibition value indicated that Candida tropicalis, Candida albicans and Candida glabrata spp. were most susceptible to IONPs. Alarm flooding is one of the main problems in alarm management. Alarm flood pattern analysis is helpful for root cause analysis of historical floods and for incoming flood prediction. This paper deals with a data driven method for alarm flood pattern matching. An alarm flood is represented by a time-stamped alarm sequence. A modified Smith–Waterman algorithm considering the time stamp information is proposed to calculate a similarity index of alarm floods. The effectiveness of the algorithm is validated by a case study on actual chemical process alarm data. 相似文献

miR-149 is an miRNA with essential roles in carcinogenesis. This miRNA is encoded by the MIR149 gene on 2q37.3. The miR-149 hairpin produces miR-149-5p and miR-149-3p, which are the “guide” and the sister “passenger” strands, respectively. Deep sequencing experiments have shown higher prevalence of miR-149-5p compared with miR-149-3p. Notably, both oncogenic and tumor suppressive roles have been reported for miR-149-5p. In this review, we summarize the impact of miR-149-5p in the tumorigenesis and elaborate mechanisms of its involvement in this process in a variety of neoplastic conditions based on three lines of evidence, i.e., in vitro, in vivo and clinical settings. 相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to study the characteristics of the combined convection heat transfer and a micropolar nanofluid flow passing through an impermeable stretching sheet in a porous medium. The nanofluid flow field is affected by a magnetic field perpendicular to the sheet. The dynamic viscosity of the micropolar nanofluid changes under the influence of the magnetic field. The continuity, linear momentum, angular momentum, and energy equations are first simplified using the order of magnitude technique that, along with the applied boundary conditions and the definition of the appropriate parameters, are transferred to the similarity space using the similarity analysis. Then the resulting equations are solved using the Runge–Kutta method.The distinction of the macroscale and microscale flow fields and temperature fields resulting from different nanoparticle shapes was clarified. Increasing the Hartmann number, the vortex viscosity parameter, the magnetic parameter, the nanoparticle volume fraction, and the permeability parameter of the porous media increased the surface friction on the sheet. Increasing the vortex viscosity parameter, the magnetic parameter, and the volume fraction of the nanoparticles increases the Nusselt number. 相似文献

This study numerically investigates the impact of porous materials, nano-particle types, and their concentrations on transient natural convection heat transfer of nano-fluid inside a porous chamber with a triangular section. The governing equations of the two-phase mixture model are separated on the computational domain and solved using the Finite Volume Method, taking into account the Darcy–Brinkman model for porous medium. It was observed that convection heat transfer inside the triangular chamber consists of three stages named initial, transient, and semi-steady. The features of each step are provided in detail. The results suggested that the use of a hybrid nano-fluid(water/aluminum oxide-cooper) inside a porous glass material and an increase in volume fraction of nano-particles have adverse effects on heat transfer rate. In contrast, as the nano-particle volume fraction of the single nano-fluid(water/aluminum oxide) inside the chamber increased, convection heat transfer rate improved. At the same time, it was observed that the use of both nano-fluids(single and hybrid) in the porous environment of the aluminum foam could improve convection. 相似文献
