Dispersion-relation-preserving FDTD algorithms for large-scale three-dimensional problems 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We introduce dispersion-relation-preserving (DRP) algorithms to minimize the numerical dispersion error in large-scale three-dimensional (3D) finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulations. The dispersion error is first expanded in spherical harmonics in terms of the propagation angle and the leading order terms of the series are made equal to zero. Frequency-dependent FDTD coefficients are then obtained and subsequently expanded in a polynomial (Taylor) series in the frequency variable. An inverse Fourier transformation is used to allow for the incorporation of the new coefficients into the FDTD updates. Butterworth or Chebyshev filters are subsequently employed to fine-tune the FDTD coefficients for a given narrowband or broadband range of frequencies of interest. Numerical results are used to compare the proposed 3D DRP-FDTD schemes against traditional high-order FDTD schemes. 相似文献

This paper proposes a new Kalman-filter-based recursive frequency estimator for discrete-time multicomponent sinusoidal signals whose frequencies may be time-varying. The frequency estimator is based on the linear prediction approach and it employs the Kalman filter to track the linear prediction coefficients (LPCs) recursively. Frequencies of the sinusoids can then be computed using the estimated LPCs. Due to the coloredness of the linear prediction error, an iterative algorithm is employed to estimate the covariance matrix of the prediction error and the LPCs alternately in the Kalman filter in order to improve the tracking performance. Simulation results show that the proposed Kalman-filter-based iterative frequency estimator can achieve better tracking results than the conventional recursive least-squares-based estimators. 相似文献

Problems in engineering design often involve determining design variable settings to optimize individual product performance
for multiple criteria, which are often in conflict. We review mathematically rigorous techniques from the statistical literature
for finding a vector x of design variable settings, which produces an optimal compromise solution among a group of prioritized response variables.
The best compromise solution is typically gained by optimizing an objective function, which incorporates the prioritized demands
of multiple responses. Since most multi-response objective functions are constructed by combining the functions used to optimize
univariate responses, a review of the prominent univariate approaches is presented first. A multivariate approach from the
engineering literature called the compromise Decision Support Problem is also reviewed. Finally a table comparing the relative

In this paper we present a scale model for fitting an ideal shape to an object. The measurements of the object are taken corresponding to a fixed coordinate system at a set of well-defined locations on the surface of the object. We propose an algorithm to estimate the model parameters and hypothesis tests to make statistical inferences about several possible special cases of the general model. Spread-spectrum modulation can be used in a radio system to reduce the likelihood of intercept, as well as providing some protection against jamming and interference. These antijam, anti-interference and low-probability-of-intercept properties are highly desirable in secured communication systems. In addition, spread-spectrum techniques have been proposed to combat spectral congestion by improving the efficiency of spectrum utilisation.
