The composition of the glycosphingolipids of the human gastrointestinal tract was studied. The major neutral glycosphingolipids
were ceramide monohexosides (e.g., GalCer, GlcCer), LacCer, Gb3Cer, Gb4Cer and more polar ones with more than four sugars, whereas neither Gg3Cer nor Gg4Cer were present. The acidic glycosphingolipids consisted of sulfatides and gangliosides such as GM3, GM1, GD3 and GD1a. Also a large amount of sulfatides was found in the gastric mucosa and duodenum. The concentrations of sulfatides in the
fundic mucosa, antral mucosa and duodenum amounted to 416.0, 933.8 and 682.9 nmol/g of dry weight, respectively, exceeding
those in the gastric mucosa and kidney of other mammals. The major molecular species of the sulfatides were identified as
I3SO3-GalCer with hydroxylated longer-chain fatty acids based on the analyses by gas-liquid chromatography and negative ion fast-atom
bombardment mass spectrometry. In contrast, gangliosides in these regions showed a tendency to be lower than sulfatides, and
the molar ratios of sulfatides to gangliosides were about 2.0, whereas those in other parts were less than 0.5. A high content
of sulfatides in the gastric and duodenal mucosa, where mucosa is easily insulted by acid, pepsin and bile salts, may be closely
related to their roles in mucosal protection.
The nomenclature used for gangliosides and other glycosphingolipids follows the system of Svennerholm (Ref. 1) and the recommendation
of the IUPAC-IUB Commission (Ref. 2), respectively. 相似文献

Development of high performance, waterborne coatings. Part II: Factors affecting adhesion performance
A new manufacturing process for high performance, waterborne coatings for can coating application was developed, which includes emulsification of an epoxy resin with or without a hardener by incorporation of an acrylic resin. It is possible by this new process to emulsify a variety of resins with minimum effects of the surfactant. (acrylic resin). The effects of surfactant and neutralizer on adhesion performance were studied. It was found that the effects of the acrylic resin amount were relatively small, and that the effects of the neutralizer were significant. It was confirmed that the usage of ammonia or amines with a branched alkyl group is required to achieve balanced dry and wet adhesion. 相似文献

Sodium potassium niobate (KNN) is the most promising candidate for lead-free piezoelectric material, owing to its high Curie temperature and piezoelectric coefficients among the non-lead piezoelectric. Numerous studies have been carried out to enhance piezoelectric properties of KNN through composition design. This research studied the effects of yttrium concentrations and lattice site occupancy preference in KNN films. For this research, the yttrium-doped KNN thin films (mol% = 0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7 and 0.9) were fabricated using the sol-gel spin coating technique and had revealed the orthorhombic perovskite structures. Based on the replacement of Y3+ ions for K+/ Na+ ions, it was found that the films doped with 0.1 to 0.5 mol% of yttrium had less lattice strain, while films with more than 0.5 mol% of Y3+ ions had increased strain due to the tendency of Y3+ to occupy the B-site in the perovskite lattice. Furthermore, by analysing the vibrational attributes of octahedron bonding, the dopant occupancy at A-site and B-site lattices could be identified. O-Nb-O bonding was asymmetric and became distorted due to the B-site occupancy of yttrium dopants at high dopant concentrations of >0.5 mol%. Extra conduction electrons had resulted in better resistivity of 2.153× 106 Ω at 0.5 mol%, while higher resistivity was recorded for films prepared with higher concentration of more than 0.5 mol%. The introduction of Y3+ improved the grain distribution of KNN structure. Further investigations indicated that yttrium enhances the surface smoothness of the films. However, at high concentrations (0.9 mol%), the yttrium increases the roughness of the surface. Within the studied range of Y3+ , the film with 0.5 mol% Y3+ represented a relatively desirable improvement in dielectric loss, tan δ and quality factor, Qm. 相似文献

Equilibrium phase relationships in the ZnO-In2 O3 system were determined between 1100° and 1400°C using solid-state reaction techniques and X-ray diffractometry. In addition to ZnO and In2 O3 , nine homologous compounds, Zn k In2 O k +3 (where k = 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15), were observed. Electrical conductivity and diffuse reflectance of the k = 3, 4, 5, 7 and 11 members were measured before and after annealing at 400°C for 1 h under forming gas (4%2 -96% N2 ). Room-temperature conductivity increased as k decreased, because of increased carrier concentration as well as increased mobility. In general, transparency in the wavelength range of 450-900 nm increased as k increased. Reduction in forming gas resulted in increased conductivity and reduced transparency for all compounds measured. The highest room-temperature conductivity measured, 270 S/cm, was that of reduced Zn3 In2 O6 . 相似文献

Evaporation behavior of water/solvent blends was estimated using the universal functional activity coefficient, UNIFAC, method. The evaporation rate from a free surface of a waterborne coating, WBC, containing a co-solvent was experimentally determined. These results were used to estimate the evaporation rate from wet films of a WBC containing a variety of co-solvents with a range of initial thickness. Knowing the composition of the WBC during the drying process, the change in the viscosity and the surface tension was determined. The results strongly support the development of a surface tension gradient in the film. It is also suggested that a surface tension gradient would accelerate the leveling of the ribs if a proper co-solvent were employed. 相似文献

OBJECTIVE: The aim was to investigate the phasic characteristics of normal human left coronary artery flow and velocity profiles across the vessel. METHODS: The phasic characteristics of flow in the human left anterior descending coronary artery, the centreline flow velocities, and the velocity profiles were measured in 10 patients during corrective surgery for atrial septal defect after closure of the defect. None of these patients had any detectable coronary artery stenosis or left ventricular hypertrophy. Measurements were made with a 20 MHz 80 channel pulsed Doppler velocimeter. RESULTS: The velocity waveform displayed a diastolic-predominant pattern with a systolic to diastolic velocity ratio of 0.29(SD 0.17). Reverse flow was observed in early systole in five patients and in mid to late systole in six patients. The values of peak Reynolds number, unsteadiness parameter, and pulsatility index were 504(198), 2.5(0.6), and 5.9(4.4) respectively. The velocity profiles during diastole showed considerable variability in shape, ranging from symmetrical to skewed to M shaped patterns. The peak wall shear rate was 765(250) s-1 on the epicardial wall of the vessel and 712(301) s-1 on the myocardial wall; the difference was not statistically significant. CONCLUSIONS: The velocity waveform displayed a diastolic-predominant pattern. Considerable variability in shape of the velocity profile was found and was perhaps due to the time evolution of the velocity profile within the diastolic time period. 相似文献

The DNA properties have been deliberated to comprehend new functional bio-devices. However there are few reports on DNA nano-patterning to make them. Therefore, we have tried DNA nano-patterning by using a nanoimprint process. A substrate coated with a poly-L-lysine was heated at 120 degrees C for 5 min in atmosphere, and nanoimprint carried out at 120 degrees C, 6 MPa, 5 min, and we applied 1 mg/ml DNA solution on the substrate and immobilized with the poly-L-lysine. Finally the substrate was washed at twice in water and at once in hot water intensely. DNA lines that consist of lines at about 700 nm as line width was obtain, and the very fine lines correspond to convex patterns of the mold surface. These results suggest that the imprint would make the poly-L-lysine reform by exposing it under high pressure and high temperature. Therefore since DNA is immobilized with the amino group in the poly-L-lysine, a lot of amino group would expose on the surface by the imprint from the balk, and would be patterned DNA. 相似文献

Transparent conducting oxide (TCO) films in the ZnO-In2O3 system were prepared by a pulsed laser deposition method. A target that consists of the mixture of ZnO and In2O3 powders was used. Influences of the target composition x (x = [Zn]/([Zn] + [In])) and heater temperature on structural, electrical and optical properties of the TCO films were examined. Introduction of oxygen gas into the chamber during the deposition was necessary for improvement in the transparency of the deposited films. The amorphous phase was observed for a wide range of x = 0.20-0.60 at 110 °C. Minimum resistivity was 2.65 × 10−4 Ω cm at x = 0.20. The films that showed the minimum resistivity had an amorphous structure and the composition shifted toward larger x, as the substrate temperature increased. The films were enriched in indium compared to the target composition and the cationic In/Zn ratio increased as the substrate temperature was increased. 相似文献

Influence of incorporation of Ga in amorphous In-Zn-O transparent conductive oxide films was investigated as a function of Zn/(Zn + In). For In-Zn-O films with no Ga2O3, the range of Zn/(Zn + In) ratio where the amorphous phase appears became narrow at a substrate temperature of 250 °C. With increasing Ga2O3 quantity, amorphous films were obtained even at a high substrate temperature of 250 °C in a wider range of Zn/(Zn + In) than that of In-Zn-O films with no Ga2O3. This means that the trend of crystallization at higher substrate temperature was disturbed with additional Ga incorporation. For the film deposited from ZnO:Ga (Ga2O3: 4.5-7.5 wt%) and In2O3 targets, we obtained a resistivity of 2.8 × 10−4 Ω cm, nearly the same value as that for an In-Zn-O film with no Ga2O3. The addition of more than 7.5 wt% Ga2O3 induced a widening of the optical band gap. 相似文献
