Speeds of sound of (l-alanine/l-glutamine/glycylglycine $\,+\, 0.512\, {\mathrm{mol}}\cdot {\mathrm{kg}}^{-1}$ + 0.512 mol · kg ? 1 aqueous ${\mathrm{KNO}}_{3}/0.512\, {\mathrm{mol}}\cdot {\mathrm{kg}}^{-1}$ KNO 3 / 0.512 mol · kg ? 1 aqueous ${\mathrm{K}}_{2}{\mathrm{SO}}_{4}$ K 2 SO 4 ) systems have been measured for several molal concentrations of amino acid/peptide at different temperatures: $T$ T = (298.15 to 323.15) K. Using the speed-of-sound and density data, the parameters, partial molar isentropic compressibilities $\phi _{\kappa }^{0}$ ? κ 0 and transfer partial molar isentropic compressibilities $\Delta _{\mathrm{tr}} \phi _{\kappa }^{0}$ Δ tr ? κ 0 , have been computed. The trends of variation of $\phi _{\kappa }^{0}$ ? κ 0 and $\Delta _{\mathrm{tr}} \phi _{\kappa }^{0}$ Δ tr ? κ 0 with changes in molal concentration of the solute and temperature have been discussed in terms of zwitterion–ion, zwitterion–water dipole, ion–water dipole, and ion–ion interactions operative in the systems.  相似文献

In studies of bovine plasma lipoproteins, apolipoprotein E (apoE) was not found associated with α-lipoproteins isolated over a broad range of densities. However, studies of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) lipoproteins from other mammals have shown that apoE is a major apolipoprotein associated with high density lipoprotein, a fact that prompted us to determine if this were also the case in bovine CSF. CSF samples were obtained from animals with a surgically implanted catheter. Most analyzed samples were obtained from cows at various stages of the postpartum period; however, a few samples also were obtained at term or during pregnancy. Analyses of isolated ultracentrifugal fractions by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis revealed the presence of two apo, with the expected molecular weights for apoE and apoA-I. By using both matrix-assisted laser desorption mass spectrometry and microsequencing techniques, we demonstrated that these apo are indeed apoE and apoA-I.  相似文献

In addition to a number of applications of nanofibres in technical fields such as medical, filtration and biosensing, nanofibres are recently being widely explored in terms of apparel use. Past work has focused on the functional properties of nanofibres for apparel use. Coloured nanofibres were produced to investigate their aesthetic properties for the potential application to apparel. Webs of cellulose acetate nanofibre were electrospun and dyed with a high energy level CI Disperse Red 167:1 dye and a low energy level CI Disperse Blue 56 dye using the continuous pad–dry–bake method. Results revealed that the high energy level dye produced better colour yield than the lower energy level dye. The dyed cellulose acetate nanofibres produced acceptable colorimetric values, colour yield and colour fastness. Young’s modulus of dyed nanofibres increased by threefold in comparison to the undyed cellulose acetate nanofibres. Scanning electron microscopy images showed good morphology with the smooth surface of the dyed cellulose acetate nanofibres.  相似文献
