We have developed an easy-to-use computer-based system for recording, displaying, storing and analyzing signals generated by Clark-type oxygen electrodes. A user-friendly interface of Windows-based program BioMed significantly increases the productivity of investigations. It allows to process, control, present and archive the experimental data in real time. A 12-bit analog-to-digital-converter, analog and digital filters, a possibility to zoom the obtained respiratory curves and calculation of the respiration rates by a linear regression method increase the resolution of the estimated oxygen consumption rates. The new system enables to register even small changes, such as 3-5 ngatoms O/min, in respiration rates of biological objects -- enzymes, mitochondria and permeabilized muscle fibers. The system has been developed and is regularly used for the respirometric investigations at the Laboratory of Biochemistry, Institute for Biomedical Research, Kaunas University of Medicine.  相似文献

In this work we present an optical refractive index (RI) sensor based on the spectral analysis of anomalies in the optical response from the diffraction grating employing polarized polychromatic light. The sensor consists of holographic diffraction grating (period 423.5 nm) coated with a thin (110 nm) SiOx doped diamond like carbon film (DLC) that defines sensitivity of the sensor as well as the range of the spectral analysis. The deposition of the DLC film (synthesized by the direct ion beam deposition from the hydrocarbon source) has influence on the shape but not on the position of the anomalies observed in the specular reflection spectrum. From the reflection spectra the RI dispersion curve of liquid analyte-water was obtained.  相似文献

The article presents comparative sensitivity study of the Ignalina NPP RBMK-1500 reactor one group distribution header complete blockage accident model. The accident model was developed by RELAP5 thermal-hydraulic code and the accident scenario is one of the scenarios analyzed in the RBMK reactor safety analysis report. The sensitivity study comprised of the Fourier amplitude sensitivity test and the random sample based sensitivity measures (correlation coefficients and standardized regression coefficients). Two types of the model output were investigated: maximum temperature and dynamic temperature change during the progression of the accident. In addition, the effect of the input parameter distribution of different truncation levels and the effect of double standard deviation to the sensitivity results were studied.  相似文献

The plasmochemical etching of SiO2 in CF4 + O2 plasma is considered. During the experiment SiO2 films are etched in CF4 + O2 plasma at temperatures of 300 and 350 K. The dependences of plasmochemical etching rates of SiO2 on O2 content in the feed are measured. The experimental measurements are compared with theoretical calculations. The obtained theoretical results are used to predict the real dimensions of etched trenches. It is found that decrease in temperature reduces lateral undercutting due to decreased desorption of formed SiF4 molecules from the sidewalls.  相似文献

To maintain thermal contact between the fuel assembly and the graphite moderator, RBMK design reactors employ graphite split rings, which are alternatively tight on the pressure tube or tight on the graphite brick central bore. The split in the graphite rings allows a helium/nitrogen gas mixture to flow up the fuel channel. This prevents oxidation of the graphite and can be sampled to detect pressure tube leaks. The initial clearance between the rings and pressure tube or graphite brick is approximately 2.7 mm (1.35 mm each side). Due to material property changes of the pressure tubes and graphite during operation of the reactor, the size of the clearance between the rings and the pressure tube/brick, called the “gas-gap”, varies. Closure of these gaps has been identified as a possible safety case issue by reactor designers and by independent reviews carried out as part of TACIS reviews and as part of the Ignalina Safety Analysis Report. The reasons for this are that gas-gap closure would cause the pressure tube to be tightly gripped by the graphite bricks via the split rings, which could lead to:
• Extra loading on the upper pressure tube zirconium/steel transition joint, particularly during shut down and emergency transients.
• Splitting of the graphite brick, leading to loss of thermal contact between the pressure tube and graphite. As approximately 5.6% of the heat in graphite-moderated reactor is generated within the moderator through neutron and gamma-heating, loss of thermal contact would result in higher graphite temperatures, accelerating the rate of graphite expansion and hence increasing the loading of the core radial restraint.
• Graphite debris may become lodged in inter-brick gaps, leading to increased axial pressure tube loading during shut down and emergency transients.
The authors have carried out deterministic assessments based on the Ignalina RBMK-1500 reactors in Lithuania, modelling the behaviour of the graphite under irradiation and have predicted graphite bore diameter changes that are in good agreement with the measurements of graphite bore diameters taken at Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). A probabilistic model has been developed using the actual results of the deterministic calculations with non-linear graphite behaviour. Statistical analysis of the measurements of tube and graphite diameters taken from Units 1 and 2 at Ignalina NPP has been carried out. Further work has been carried out to try to determine the uncertainty inherent in the predictions of the gas-gap closure from the calculations. The overall objective of the studies is to aid prediction of the gas-gap closure process, and help to identify a suitable monitoring strategy for gas-gap closure that could be used for any RBMK reactor.  相似文献

In this study ultrathin hydrogenated amorphous carbon (a-C:H) films have been grown onto the titanium and amorphous silicon (a-Si) overlayers by direct ion beam deposition using acetylene gas as a hydrocarbon source. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was used for study of the DLC-Ti and DLC-Si interfaces. It was revealed that a-Si is a good interlayer for improvement of adhesion in the case of diamond-like carbon film deposition onto the steel substrate at room temperature. a-C:H film growth without substantial intermixing occurred on the a-Si. On the other hand, adhesion between the Ti interlayer and the diamond like carbon film was very sensitive to the deposition conditions (presence of the pump oil) as well as structure and stress level of the Ti film. It was explained by strong intermixing between the growing carbon film and Ti. Bad adhesion between the growing DLC film and Ti interlayer was observed despite formation of the TiC. At the same time, formation of the TiOx was not an obstacle for good adhesion. It is shown that composition of the used hydrocarbon gas, structure of the Ti thin film and mechanical stress in it had greater influence on adhesion with a-C:H film than elemental composition of the Ti interlayer surface.  相似文献

In the present study diamond like carbon (DLC) and carbon nitride (a-CNx:H) films were deposited by closed drift ion source from the acetylene and nitrogen gas mixture. The piezoresistive, electrical and optical properties of ion beam synthesized DLC films were investigated. Piezoresistive properties of the diamond like carbon and carbon nitride films were evaluated by four point bending test. The piezoresistors were fabricated on crystalline alumina substrates using Al-based interdigitated finger type electrodes. Effects of the nitrogen concentration on the piezoresistive gauge factor were investigated. The dependence of the resistance of the metal/a-CNx:H/metal structures on temperature has been studied. Current–voltage (IV) and capacitance–voltage characteristics were measured for a-CNx:H/Si heterostructures. The main current transport mechanisms were analyzed. Optical parameters of the synthesized films such as optical bandgap and B parameter (slope of the linear part of the Tauc plot) were investigated to study possible correlation with the piezoresistive properties.  相似文献

The paper presents reliability and risk analysis of the RBMK-1500 reactor accident localization system (ALS) (confinement), which prevents radioactive releases to the environment. Reliability of the system was estimated and compared by two methods: the conventional fault tree method and an innovative dynamic reliability model, based on stochastic differential equations. Frequency of radioactive release through ALS was also estimated. The results of the study indicate that conventional fault tree modeling techniques in this case apply high degree of conservatism in the system reliability estimates.One of the purposes of the ALS reliability study was to demonstrate advantages of the dynamic reliability analysis against the conventional fault/event tree methods. The Markovian framework to deal with dynamic aspects of system behavior is presented. Although not analyzed in detail, the framework is also capable of accounting for non-constant component failure rates. Computational methods are proposed to solve stochastic differential equations, including analytical solution, which is possible only for relatively small and simple systems. Other numerical methods, like Monte Carlo and numerical schemes of differential equations are analyzed and compared. The study is finalized with concluding remarks regarding both the studied system reliability and computational methods used.  相似文献

An improvement of the method of hydraulic profiling of the RBMK-1500 core at the Ignalina nuclear power plant is examined. The hydraulic profiling method employs an approach where an adequate margin up to a crisis of heat transfer is provided in the channels of the reactor, the mass steam content at all channel exits is kept uniform, the number of adjustments of the stop-control valve at power is kept to a minimum, the flow rate is changed three times over the entire run of a fuel assembly, and the total flow rate through the reactor is maintained within the regulation limits over the entire run. At present the design basis accidents for RBMK-1500 are rather thoroughly investigated. The performed analyses helped to develop and implement a number of safety modifications. Further plant safety enhancement requires developing emergency procedures that would enable beyond design basis accidents management by preventing core damage or mitigating consequences of severe accidents.  相似文献
