Synthesis and anticonvulsant potential of certain new 6-aryl-9-substituted-6,9-diazaspiro[4.5]decane-8,10-diones (6a–l) and 1-aryl-4-substituted-1,4-diazaspiro[5.5]undecane-3,5-diones (6m–x) are reported. The intermediates 1-[(aryl)(cyanomethyl)amino]cycloalkanecarboxamides (3a–f) were prepared via adopting Strecker synthesis on the proper cycloalkanone followed by partial hydrolysis of the obtained nitrile functionality and subsequent N-cyanomethylation. Compounds 3a–f were subjected to complete nitrile hydrolysis to give the respective carboxylic acid derivatives 4a–f which were cyclized under mild conditions to give the spiro compounds 5a–f. Ultimately, compounds 5a–f were alkylated or aralkylated to give the target compounds 6a–i and 6m–u. On the other hand, compounds 6j–l and 6v–x were synthesized from the intermediates 5a–f through alkylation, dehydration and finally tetrazole ring formation. Anticonvulsant screening of the target compounds 6a–x revealed that compound 6g showed an ED50 of 0.0043 mmol/kg in the scPTZ screen, being about 14 and 214 fold more potent than the reference drugs, Phenobarbital (ED50 = 0.06 mmol/kg) and Ethosuximide (ED50 = 0.92 mmol/kg), respectively. Compound 6e exhibited an ED50 of 0.019 mmol/kg, being about 1.8 fold more potent than that of the reference drug, Diphenylhydantoin (ED50 = 0.034 mmol/kg) in the MES screen. Interestingly, all the test compounds 6a–x did not show any minimal motor impairment at the maximum administered dose in the neurotoxicity screen.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the performance of time hopping pulse position modulation for impulse radio ultra‐wideband. We consider relay network applying decode‐and‐forward protocol. The channels between nodes adopt the IEEE 802.15.4a norms. The bit error rate performance is analyzed considering the effect of interference. Our results show significant improvement due to the diversity gain provided by the relay nodes. However, the performance is limited when multiple access interference (MAI) is present. To combat the MAI effect and further improve the detection reliability, we propose to use antenna selection at the relay. The relay receiver is assumed to be equipped with multiple antennas, and only the best antenna is selected. This is shown to improve the performance in the presence of MAI and improve the diversity gain.Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Inter-plant hydrogen integration (IPHI) is getting more attention in recent years, as a result of the increasing demand for hydrogen in refinery processes, such as hydrotreating and hydrocracking. In this work, IPHI with regeneration scheme is analyzed. Indirect integration scheme is adopted, where hydrogen sources from different hydrogen networks are integrated via a centralized purifier, such as pressure swing adsorption (PSA) or membrane separation. The introduced model is able to select the optimum interception unit, which minimizes the total annualized cost. Besides, multi-period consideration is included in the analysis to address the effect of changes in operating conditions of the IPHI network on total hydrogen consumption. Two case studies are presented to demonstrate the applicability and usefulness of the proposed model.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the performance of an adaptive multistage detection scheme for direct‐sequence code‐division multiple‐access (DS‐CDMA) systems. The first stage consists of an adaptive multiuser detector which is based on the linear constrained minimum variance (LCMV) criterion. The interference cancellation (IC) occurs in the second stage. The performance of the iterative receiver over both flat and frequency‐selective fading channels is investigated and compared to the single‐user bound. In all cases, and under heavy system loads with near‐far problems, the iterative receiver is shown to offer substantial performance improvement and large gain in user‐capacity relative to the standard LCMV. In flat‐fading channels, our results show that the performance of the iterative detector is very close to the single‐user bound. For the frequency‐selective channel, this performance is noted to be in the order of 1 dB far from the single‐user bound. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The application of asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) on both wireless and satellite networks requires system adaptation. This adaptation has to improve the overall system's performance, and achieve high quality‐of‐service classes approaching that for fibre‐optic communications. In this paper, a new integrated forward‐error‐correction (FEC) coding scheme is introduced for ATM transmission over regenerative satellite networks. The proposed FEC scheme is a concatenation of two Reed–Solomon codes tailored for the header and payload parts of the ATM cell. This integrated coding scheme is shown to significantly improve the cell loss ratio as compared to the standard CRC code used in the ATM cell header. We obtain both upper and lower performance bounds for the concatenated code and check their accuracy when compared to exact system's performance. Both analytical and simulation results show that a cell loss ratio and bit‐error rate (BER) of 10?25 and 10?7 can be, respectively, achieved with minimum delay requirements on the SATCOM link. Finally, an approximation for the system's throughout is obtained. It is shown that using a hybrid selective‐repeat automatic‐repeat‐request (SR‐ARQ) with the RS code, a large throughput of approximately 0.843 can be achieved at BERs lower than 10?7 for data services. Coupled resonator filters (CRFs) are the new generation of BAW filters recently designed for the front-end modules of mobile transmission systems. Looking for designers' requirements, CRF devices have been characterized and modeled. The model based on equivalent circuits relies on material constants such as stiffness and electro-coupling coefficients, and works only for linear-mode propagation. Because of their positions between antennas and power amplifiers, they often work under high RF power, inducing nonlinear response in the AlN piezoelectric layer. In this work, we analyze for the first time the nonlinear behavior of AlN material particularly for coupled BAW resonators. To characterize the nonlinear effects in CRFs, we measure the 1-dB gain compression point (P1dB) and the intercept point (IP(3)). Then, we develop a nonlinear model of CRFs using harmonic balance (HB) simulation in commercially available software. The HB environment allows fitting simulations to measurements in terms of P(1dB) and IP(3). We find that a high RF power induces nonlinear changes in the material constants' real parts: elastic stiffness c(33) (4.9%), piezoelectric e(33) (17.4%), and permittivity ?(33) (5.2%). These nonlinear variations of material constants describe the nonlinear behavior of CRF devices using the same deposit process for AlN material.  相似文献

Integrating self‐healing capabilities into soft electronic devices increases their durability and long‐term reliability. Although some advances have been made, the use of self‐healing electronics in wet and/or (under)water environments has proven to be quite challenging, and has not yet been fully realized. Herein, a new highly water insensitive self‐healing elastomer with high stretchability and mechanical strength that can reach 1100% and ≈6.5 MPa, respectively, is reported. The elastomer exhibits a high (>80%) self‐healing efficiency (after ≈ 24 h) in high humidity and/or different (under)water conditions without the assistance of an external physical and/or chemical triggers. Soft electronic devices made from this elastomer are shown to be highly robust and able to recover their electrical properties after damages in both ambient and aqueous conditions. Moreover, once operated in extreme wet or underwater conditions (e.g., salty sea water), the self‐healing capability leads to the elimination of significant electrical leakage that would be caused by structural damages. This highly efficient self‐healing elastomer can help extend the use of soft electronics outside of the laboratory and allow a wide variety of wet and submarine applications.  相似文献
