An on-chip 1-Mb SRAM suitable for embedding in the application processor used in mobile cellular phones was developed. This SRAM supports three operating modes - high-speed active mode, low-leakage low-speed active mode, and standby mode - and uses a subdivisional power-line control (SPC) scheme. The combination of three operating modes and the SPC scheme realizes low-power operation under actual usage conditions. It operates at 300 MHz, with leakage of 25 /spl mu/A/Mb in standby mode, and 50 /spl mu/A/Mb at the low-leakage active mode. This SRAM also uses a self-bias write scheme that decreases of minimum operating voltage by about 100 mV. 相似文献

Double‐network (DN) hydrogels with high mechanical strength have been synthesized using the natural polymers bacterial cellulose (BC) and gelatin. As‐prepared BC contains 90 % water that can easily be squeezed out, with no more recovery in its swelling property. Gelatin gel is brittle and is easily broken into fragments under a modest compression. In contrast, the fracture strength and elastic modulus of a BC–gelatin DN gel under compressive stress are on the order of megapascals, which are several orders of magnitude higher than those of gelatin gel, and almost equivalent to those of articular cartilage. A similar enhancement in the mechanical strength was also observed for the combination of BC with polysaccharides, such as sodium alginate, gellan gum, and ι‐carrageenan. 相似文献

Mechanical deformation of Pd40Ni40P20 was characterized in compression over a wide strain rate range (3.3×10−5 to 2×103 s−1) at room temperature. The compression sample fractured with a shear plane inclined 42 degree with respect to the loading axis, in contrast to 56 degree for the case of tension. This suggests the yielding of the material deviates from the classical von Mises yield criterion, but follows the Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion. Fracture stress as well as strain was found to decrease with increasing applied strain rate. The compressive stress (1.74 GPa) was also found to be higher than the tensile fracture stress at a quasi-static strain rate. Close examination of the stress–strain curves revealed that localized shear might have occurred at a compressive stress of about 1.4 GPa, much lower than the “apparent” yield stress of 1.74 GPa. However, the stress of 1.4 GPa for shear band initiation is almost the same as the fracture stress measured at a dynamic strain rate of 5×102 s−1. These results suggested that the fracture of a bulk metallic glass is sensitive to the applied loading rate. 相似文献

Identifying the extent to which the appearance of a humanoid robot affects human behavior toward it is important. We compared participant impressions of and behaviors toward two real humanoid robots in simple human-robot interactions. These two robots, which have different appearances but are controlled to perform the same recorded utterances and motions, are adjusted by a motion-capturing system. We conducted an experiment with 48 human participants who individually interacted with the two robots and also with a human for reference. The results revealed that different appearances did not affect participant verbal behaviors, but they did affect such nonverbal behaviors as distance and delay of response. We report the fabrication of hybrid films of graphene and monolayer titania using a simple electrostatic self-assembly method. Ultraviolet (UV) responses of the hybrid films based on the graphene–titania structure were investigated. We observed that the resistance of the graphene–titania hybrid increased exponentially with UV irradiation time and decreased exponentially when UV was turned off. Time constants of the order of hundreds of seconds were identified and found to be sensitive to the gas environment of graphene. The UV response as well as the time constant is tunable by varying the number of titania layers. Our results confirmed that UV irradiation played a significant role in the resistance modulation of graphene as well as graphene–titania hybrid films. 相似文献
