Measurements of the beta-activity of milk, serving as the main source of information on the radioactive contamination of the
environment by the iodine isotope 131I, carried out on a DP-100 radiometer in the early post-Chernobyl period (1986) in Belarus, have been mathematically simulated.
The results obtained allow the conclusion that the indicated measurements should be analyzed again with consideration for
all of the nuclides present in milk.

The authors studied the content of volatile N-nitrosamines (NA) in the most common sausage products. It was established that the total content of NA in sausage products is not high and ranges from trace amounts up to 10 micrograms/kg product. A study is made of the statistical characteristics of isotropic velocity and scalar fields in supply of the kinetic energy
of turbulence from the energy of the average flow. Two models based on the distributions of the kinetic turbulence energy
and the intensity of scalar-field pulsations by wave numbers and length scales are used for calculation of the statistical
characteristics of turbulent velocity and scalar fields. The calculation results are compared to the data of the direct numerical
modeling performed under the same initial conditions.

The data are provided on the content of carcinogenous N-nitroso compounds in foods manufactured in a region with a high gastric carcinoma incidence. It was found that foods under analysis have a high content of carcinogenous nitroso compounds. The aim of the present work was to study corrosion and electrochemical behavior of Ti-22Nb-6Ta and Ti-22Nb-6Zr (at.%) superelastic alloys under conditions which imitate the performance mode of target devices (bone implants), i.e., under cyclic load in simulated physiological solutions. Open circuit potential (OCP) measurements were carried out on wire specimens in Hank’s solution and artificial saliva at 37 °C with various strain values up to 1.5%. It is shown that at clinically relevant strain values (about 0.2%) the alloys exhibit OCP growth indicating their high stability and resistance to corrosion fatigue under these cycling conditions. At much higher strains (about 1%), fatigue crack initiation and propagation take place, however, the corresponding OCP variation indicates that the fracture process is significantly restrained by reversible martensitic transformation during cycling. 相似文献
