Lawrence Kohlberg spent most of his adult life studying the topic of moral judgement. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Kohlberg was also making bold moves in education and in philosophy. By the mid-1970s, Kohlberg had attracted much interest to the cognitive development approach and to his theories of moral education. In his later years, Kohlberg finished many writing projects, including Essays on Moral Development (Volume 1 on moral philosophy and Volume 2 on moral psychology), the finalization of the Scoring System, and the results of his 20-year longitudinal study. Lawrence Kohlberg, born in Bronxville, New York on October 25, 1927, was reported missing on January 17, 1987. His body was later found in marshland bordering Logan Airport, Boston. Evidently, he ended his life at age 59 by drowning. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2010 APA, all rights reserved) 相似文献
