Magnetic MnFe2O4 nanopowders were synthesized by an original solvothermal method in the absence and in the presence of tetra-n-butylammonium bromide (TBAB) and Tween 80 (TW) as surfactants. Manganese ferrite/polyaniline (PANI) hybrid materials were synthesized by in situ polymerization of aniline on the surface of MnFe2O4 using ammonium persulfate as oxidant. The purpose of the study was to investigate the influence of the two surfactants on the properties of the MnFe2O4 powders and of their composites with PANI. The specific surface area, the cumulative surface area of pores and the cumulative volume of pores are influenced by the nature of surfactant in case of MnFe2O4 powders and are higher by comparison to those of the MnFe2O4/PANI hybrid materials. The values of saturation magnetization in case of MnFe2O4 powders are higher than those of the hybrid materials and are not influenced by the surfactant nature. These features revealed that MnFe2O4 powders can be efficiently used as adsorbents for the purification of wastewaters. The values of the electrical conductivity of the composites exhibit a significant increase in comparison to the MnFe2O4 powders and depend on the surfactant nature. The highest value of electrical conductivity was achieved by the composite obtained using Tween 80 as surfactant (σDC = 54.5·10?5S?m?1) which was close to that of PANI (σDC = 61.2·10?5 S?m?1). The fact that the magnetic and electric properties of the synthesized MnFe2O4/PANI composites can be changed by design, demonstrate the high potential of these materials to be used in magneto-electric applications.  相似文献

This paper presents a microfluidic device for magnetophoretic separation of red blood cells from blood under continuous flow. The separation method consists of continuous flow of a blood sample (diluted in PBS) through a microfluidic channel which presents on the bottom “dots” of ferromagnetic layer. By applying a magnetic field perpendicular on the flowing direction, the ferromagnetic “dots” generate a gradient of magnetic field which amplifies the magnetic force. As a result, the red blood cells are captured on the bottom of the microfluidic channel while the rest of the blood is collected at the outlet. Experimental results show that an average of 95% of red blood cells is trapped in the device.  相似文献

Clustering is an important problem in malware research, as the number of malicious samples that appear every day makes manual analysis impractical. Although these samples belong to a limited number of malware families, it is difficult to categorize them automatically as obfuscation is involved. By extracting relevant features we can apply clustering algorithms, then only analyze a couple of representatives from each cluster. However, classic clustering algorithms that compute the similarity between each pair of samples are slow when a large collection is involved. In this paper, the features will be strings of operation codes extracted from the binary code of each sample. With a modified suffix tree data structure we can find long enough substrings that correspond to portions of a program’s code. These substrings must be filtered against a database of known substrings so that common library code will be ignored. The items that have common substrings above a certain threshold will be grouped into the same cluster. Our algorithm was tested with data extracted from real-world malware and constructed quality clusters.  相似文献

Osteonecrosis of the jaws (ONJ) usually has a clear etiology. Local infection or trauma, radiotherapy and drugs that disrupt the vascular supply or bone turnover in the jaws are its major contributors. The thrombotic occlusion of the bone’s venous outflow that occurs in individuals with hereditary thrombophilia and/or hypofibrinolysis has a less known impact on jaw health and healing capability. Our research provides the most comprehensive, up-to-date and systematized information on the prevalence and significance of hereditary thrombophilia and/or hypofibrinolysis states in ONJ. We found that hereditary prothrombotic abnormalities are common in patients with ONJ refractory to conventional medical and dental treatments. Thrombophilia traits usually coexist with hypofibrinolysis traits. We also found that frequently acquired prothrombotic abnormalities coexist with hereditary ones and enhance their negative effect on the bone. Therefore, we recommend a personalized therapeutic approach that addresses, in particular, the modifiable risk factors of ONJ. Patients will have clear benefits, as they will be relieved of persistent pain and repeated dental procedures.  相似文献

In this work, several near‐lossless compression methods for spectral images have been analyzed and compared. These methods are based both on the principal component analysis (PCA) and on the choice of a minimum number of spectral points, selected following different criteria. The analysis, initially carried out on 14 National Physical Laboratory tiles of certified colour, has been extended to some spectral images of paintings taken at the National Gallery of Parma (Italy). The comparison of the results with those obtained by applying the PCA analysis shows that the best method indicated as “method of a few significant points” allows reducing the spectral image size of a factor of 10 without loss of spectral and colour information. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The paper presents a new lossless ECG compression scheme. The short-term predictor and the coder use conditioning on a small number of contexts. The long-term prediction is based on an algorithm for R-R interval estimation. Several QRS detection algorithms are investigated to select a low complexity and reliable detection algorithm. The coding of prediction residuals uses primarily the Golomb-Rice (GR) codes, but, to improve the coding results, escape codes GR-ESC are used in some contexts for a limited number of samples. Experimental results indicate the good overall performance of the lossless ECG compression algorithms (reducing the storage needs from 12 to about 3-4 bits per sample). The scheme consistently outperforms other waveform or general purpose coding algorithms.  相似文献

The paper presents a dielectrophoretic chip, fully enclosed, with bulk silicon electrodes fabricated using wafer-to-wafer bonding techniques and packaged at the wafer level. The silicon electrodes, which are bonded to two glass dies, define in the same time the walls of the microfluidic channel. The device is fabricated from a silicon wafer that is bonded (at wafer level) anodically and using SU8 photoresist between two glass wafers. The first glass die includes drilled holes for inlet/outlet connections while the second glass die assure the electrical connections, through via holes and a metallization layer, between the silicon electrodes and a printing circuit board.  相似文献
