We report an application of Kalman filtering to the inverted pendulum (IP) of the Virgo gravitational wave interferometer. Using subspace method system identification techniques, we calculated a linear mechanical model of Virgo IP from experimental transfer functions. We then developed a Kalman filter, based on the obtained state space representation, that estimates from open loop time domain data, the state variables of the system. This allows the observation (and eventually control) of every resonance mode of the IP mechanical structure independently.  相似文献

Although ambient processing is the key to low-cost organic solar cell production, high-vacuum thermal evaporation of LiF is often a limiting step, motivating the exploration of solution processing of LiF as an alternative electrode interlayer. Submonolayer films are realized with the assistance of polymeric micelle reactors that enable LiF particle deposition with controlled nanoscale surface coverage. Scanning Kelvin probe reveals a work function tunable with nanoparticle coverage with higher values than that of bare indium tin oxide (ITO).  相似文献

Long persistence phosphors are promising materials for energy‐saving applications, due to their ability to temporarily store and release light. While boron is known to dramatically extend the afterglow persistence to longer than 8 h in strontium aluminates, previous attempts to understand the role of boron neglected any nanoscale‐related effects and have been inconclusive. Herein, nanoscale‐resolved cathodoluminescence mapping is correlated with selected area electron diffraction and with energy dispersive x‐ray spectroscopy analysis using a 2 Å‐diameter probe. The salient aspect of this unique approach is that one can not only determine the elemental distribution in the phosphor microstructure, but more importantly, one can discriminate between the distributions of different divalent and trivalent luminescing ions. We demonstrate that the extremely long afterglow is due to the boron dopant via two key roles: (1) facilitating dominance of the long persistence phase during the microstructural evolution and (2) promoting more uniform distribution of the optically active, Eu2+ ion in the Sr2+ cation sublattice.  相似文献

Extinction of classically and instrumentally conditioned behaviors, such as conditioned fear and drug-seeking behavior, is a process of active learning, and recent studies indicate that potentiation of glutamatergic transmission facilitates extinction learning. In this study, the authors investigated the effects of the Type-5 metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluR5) positive allosteric modulator 3-cyano-N-(1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)benzamide (CDPPB) on the extinction of cocaine-seeking behavior in rats with a history of intravenous cocaine self-administration. To assess its effects on acquisition and consolidation of extinction learning, CDPPB (60 mg/kg) or vehicle was administered either 20 min prior to, or immediately following, each of 10 extinction sessions, respectively. When administered prior to each extinction session, CDPPB produced a significant reduction in the number of active lever presses on all 10 days of extinction training as compared to vehicle-treated animals. When administered following each extinction session, a significant reduction in the number of active lever presses was observed on the 2nd through 10th day of extinction. Both treatment regimens also reduced the number of extinction-training sessions required to meet extinction criteria. Pre- or postextinction-training administration of CDPPB did not alter responding on the inactive lever and had no effects on open field locomotor activity. These data indicate that positive allosteric modulation of mGluR5 receptors facilitates the acquisition and consolidation of extinction learning following cocaine self-administration and may provide a novel pharmacological approach to enhancing extinction learning when combined with cue exposure therapy for the treatment of cocaine addiction. In modern functional logic languages like Curry or Toy, programs are possibly non-confluent and non-terminating rewrite systems, defining possibly non-deterministic non-strict functions. Therefore, equational reasoning is not valid for deriving properties of such programs. In a previous work we showed how a mapping from CRWL –a well known logical framework for functional logic programming– into logic programming could be in principle used as logical conceptual tool for proving properties of functional logic programs. A severe problem faced in practice is that simple properties, even if they do not involve non-determinism, require difficult proofs when compared to those obtained using equational specifications and methods. In this work we improve our approach by taking into account determinism of (part of) the considered programs. This results in significant shortenings of proofs when we put in practice our methods using standard systems supporting equational reasoning like, e.g., Isabelle.  相似文献

In this work, we investigated the influence of Al doping on the structure of the (ZnO)5In2O3 homologous phase and the thermoelectric characteristics of (ZnO)5(In1?xAlx)2O3 ceramics for x=0, 0.01, 0.03, 0.05, 0.1, and 0.2, prepared using a classic ceramic procedure and sintering at 1500°C for 2 hours. The Al substituted for In on both the primary sites in the Zn5(In1?xAlx)2O8 homologous phase, the octahedral sites in the basal‐plane inversion boundaries and the trigonal bi‐pyramidal sites in the zig‐zag inversion boundaries, which resulted in a uniformly increased shrinkage of the unit cell with the additions of Al. The a and c parameters were reduced for x=0.2 by a maximum 0.8%. All the samples had similar microstructures, so the differences in the TE characteristics mainly resulted from the effects of the substitution of Al for In, decreasing the charge‐carrier concentration and affecting their mobility. Slightly improved TE characteristics were only observed for Al additions with x=0.01‐0.05, while larger additions of Al only resulted in a reduced electrical conductivity and decreased ZT values in comparison to the un‐doped composition.  相似文献

Amorphous ZnO-SnO2-In2O3 films were grown by direct current magnetron sputtering from vacuum hot pressed ceramic oxide targets of Zn:In:Sn cation ratios 1:2:1 and 1:2:1.5 onto glass substrates. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the microstructure remained amorphous during annealing at 200 °C for up to 5 hours. By monitoring the electrical resistivity, oxygen content and substrate temperature were optimized during deposition. The optimal films were characterized by Hall Effect, work function and optical spectroscopy measurements. Films of 1:2:1 composition showed the lowest resistivity (7.6 × 10− 4 Ω-cm), when deposited onto substrates preheated to 300 °C. Transmissivity of all films exceeded 80% in the visible spectral region. The energy gap was 3.52-3.74 eV, and the work function ranged 5.08-5.22 eV, suitable for cathode applications in organic light emitting diodes. Overall, the film characteristics were comparable or superior to those of amorphous tin-doped indium oxide and zinc-doped indium oxide films and may serve as viable, lower-cost alternatives.  相似文献

The Virgo interferometer, aimed at detecting gravitational waves, is now in a commissioning phase. Measurements of its optical properties are needed for the understanding of the instrument.
