Facial image synthesis using skin texture recording   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
A significant issue in synthesizing realistic faces is the representation of skin grain and wrinkles. This paper describes a new approach based on the registered body of a real person. This recording allows simultaneously registering of the 3-D coordinates of a point and the corresponding reflected intensity. Using a 4-D B-spline surface to reconstruct the face, we come close to achieving a photographic result.  相似文献

"Subjective" and "objective" taxonomies of human physique are more or less correlated among themselves and in different degrees with an array of nonanthropometric variables of interest to psychologists. There is probably closer corespondence between anthropometric data and function than is reported in the literature. The most advanced taxonomies can be improved, principally by: greater differentiation of predictive anatomical variables; increasing the scope of the systems to include such elements as internal body organs, the differential influences of nutrition, and age; and through use of refined multivariate statistical techniques for representing and analyzing complex data. The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) has developed and patented three high‐resolution 3D imaging systems and processing algorithms which have been applied to a wide range of museum and heritage recording applications. The systems have been designed for different imaging applications and, in collaboration with a number of national and international museums and cultural agencies, have been used to scan a wide variety of objects and sites. A computational model was used to simulate stationary and linear gas-tungsten-arc (GTA) welds and to study the effect of surface-tension as well as arc position. The results show that the surface-tension gradient with respect to temperature is a dominating factor in determining the direction of the convective flow within the molten weld pool. Furthermore, a linear-arc movement leads to a convective pattern, which is different from that of a stationary weld.  相似文献
