This paper extends a method for predicting rotational losses for laminated rotors of heteropolar magnetic bearings by using an eddy-current model to include the effect of magnetic hysteresis in the rotor material. It compares the modeling results to the experimental data that were used earlier to assess the loss model neglecting hysteresis. The correction to the total electromagnetic loss in the rotor due to the hysteresis is significant at rotational speeds below 6000 revolutions per minute (RPM), where the model including hysteresis effects provides much better agreement with existing experimental data.  相似文献

The process of methane conversion in a mixture modeling the natural gas under the action of a periodic nanosecond pulsed electron beam and an electron-beam-induced non-self-sustained discharge has been numerically simulated and studied in experiment. The possibility of methane conversion under the action of electric pulses without significant heating of the processed gas mixture is demonstrated for the first time. The main conversion products in experiment were hydrogen, ethylene, and acetylene.  相似文献

An inductive power-amplifier stage based on a two-coil assembly and two electrically exploded conductors used as circuit breakers is described. Owing to the magnetic flux conservation, the interruption of the current in the first of the storage coils causes an increase of the current in the second coil, which results in a rapid thermal burst of the second electrically exploded conductor. As a result, the load-current rise-time is 20 times less than the charging-current rise time and the amplitude of the current increases.  相似文献

Internal carotid aneurysms in the ophthalmic area presents a challenge in cerebrovascular neurosurgery. The study was undertaken to provide evidence for the application of intravascular aspiration during direct surgical interventions and to outline their variants used at the N. N. Burdenko Institute of Neurosurgery. The study included 4 (3 females and 1 male) patients with large and giant internal carotid aneurysms of parasphenoidal site who were treated at the Institute. Clipping of the aneurysmal neck was made by employing intravascular blood aspiration from the aneurysm. The technique proved to be effective in proximal monitoring the carotid artery at surgery. It substantially reduced aneurysmal blood flow and wall tension, thus favouring aneurysmal dissection to make clipping.  相似文献

The nanohardness (H) and microhardness (H M) of sodium borosilicate glasses with and without nanopores were studied. From nanoindentation measurements, along with the hardness H, the Young’s modulus E was derived. While both H and H M varied between ∼10 GPa and ∼7 GPa for the bulk glass, the values for nanoporous specimens were one order of magnitude lower at about 0.5 GPa. The Young’s moduli were found to be ∼82 GPa and ∼5 GPa for bulk and porous glasses, respectively. Cracks and pileups were observed, respectively, arising from microindents and nanoindents in the bulk glass, whereas none of them could be detected in the nanoporous material. The molecular structures of both glasses studied by X-ray diffraction are similar. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献
