Infomativeness of multichannel Kalman filters

This article considers the informativeness of multichannel Kalman filters. Expressions are derived for determination of the amount of information obtained by additional measurements with a reserved measurement channel during processing. We prove a theorem asserting that there is an increase in the informativeness of Kalman filters when there is a failure-free researved measurement channel. Experimental design in problems involving measurement of the mass of petroleum products in storage tanks

We propose a technique for optimal selection of standard pressure controllers for obtaining the best calibration characteristics for differential pressure gauges, ensuring high-quality metrological characteristics for the data acquisition systems for determination of the mass of petroleum products in storage tanks. A sequential method of calibrating measurement instruments with a Kalman filter

A recurrent algorithm is derived for estimating the parameters of a calibration curve with allowance for the errors in reproducing the inputs. Megawatt low-temperature DC plasma generator with divergent channels of gas-discharge tract

We have developed and studied a new effective megawatt double-unit generator of low-temperature argon plasma, which belongs to the class of dc plasmatrons and comprises the cathode and anode units with divergent gas-discharge channels. The generator has an efficiency of about 80–85% and ensures a long working life at operating currents up to 4000 A.     

Thermal Expansion and Electroabsorption in the TlInS2–TlYbS2 System

The thermal expansion and electroabsorption of TlIn_{1 – x} Yb _x S₂ solid solutions were measured as a function of temperature. The introduction of Yb into TlInS₂ was found to fully suppress the phase transition. It is shown that there is a perfect correlation between the band gap and thermal expansion of the TlIn_{1 – x} Yb _x S₂ solid solutions: both decrease with increasing Yb content. This finding is interpreted in terms of the effect of Yb substitution on bond strength.
