The fourth-generation nickel-based single-crystal superalloys, which contain large amounts of refractory metals for strengthening and platinum group metals for topologically close-packed phase prevention, show excellent high-temperature strength. However, these alloying elements seem to decrease high-temperature oxidation resistance. In this study, nickel-based superalloys with various amounts of tantalum, rhenium, and ruthenium were examined in isothermal and cyclic exposures at 1,100°C to investigate the effect on the oxide growth rate and resistance to scale spallation. Ruthenium and rhenium were found to degrade the oxidation resistance by the vaporization of their oxide. Tantalum-rich oxide in the spinel layer acts to stabilize ruthenium and rhenium oxide in the scale. The addition of hafnium and yttrium is effective in improving the oxidation resistance of ruthenium-containing nickel-based superalloys.  相似文献

The cells of origin of peripheral nerves that supply the temporomandibular joint were investigated by examining the centripetal transport of wheat germ agglutinin-horseradish peroxidase (WGA-HRP). Following WGA-HRP injection into the temporomandibular joint capsule of the cat, a large number of labelled neurones were observed in the trigeminal and superior cervical ganglia ipsilateral to the injection site, while no labelled neurones were detected in the cervical dorsal-root ganglia. Only one labelled neurone was seen in the stellate ganglion. Labelled neurones were primarily located in the posterolateral and dorsal regions of the trigeminal ganglion, but their distribution in the superior cervical ganglion was not localized to specific regions. The labelled neurones in the trigeminal ganglion were significantly larger than those in the superior cervical ganglion but the sizes of smaller neurones overlapped, suggesting that trigeminal ganglion neurones send both myelinated and unmyelinated fibres to the temporomandibular joint. The innervation of the temporomandibular joint by somatosensory and sympathetic fibres suggests that sympathetic nerves could be responsible for allodynia or neuropathic pain caused by temporomandibular disorders.  相似文献

Intrarenal hemodynamics were studied by duplex Doppler sonography in 112 inpatients with type II diabetes mellitus (DM; 65 males, 47 females, 58 +/- 13 years old). The resistive index (RI) and pulsatility index (PI) of the interlobar arteries were calculated. The patients were divided into four groups: group I consisted of patients with urinary albumin excretion (UAE) < 20 micrograms/min (N = 42), group II with 20 < or = UAE < 200 (N = 28), group III with UAE > or = 200 (N = 25), and group IV with serum creatinine > or = 1.5 mg/dl (N = 17). Both RI and PI values in groups II, III, and IV were significantly higher than those in the controls (age- and sex-matched healthy persons, N = 37; P < 0.001), and those in group IV were significantly higher than those in groups I, II, and III (P < 0.0001). Multiple regression analysis revealed that RI values in DM patients were significantly affected by creatinine clearance, age, and duration of diabetes (R2 = 0.554, P < 0.0001). When intima-medial thickness (IMT) of the femoral and carotid arteries were measured by B-mode ultrasonography, RI values were significantly correlated with both the femoral and carotid arterial IMT. These results demonstrate that intrarenal hemodynamic abnormalities are present in type II DM patients with nephropathy, and that intrarenal hemodynamics are affected by decreased glomerular function and also probably by advanced arteriosclerosis.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: We assessed the effects of atherosclerosis on the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) in patients with type 2 diabetes and who had micro- or normoalbuminuria. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS: A total of 61 Japanese patients with type 2 diabetes were recruited from inpatients of Osaka City University Hospital. They ranged in age from 40 to 69 years (28 men and 33 women). Each subject collected a 24-h urine sample for quantitative analysis of albumin. Absence of albuminuria was defined as a urinary albumin excretion level of <30 mg/24 h (n = 36) and microalbuminuria as a level of 30-300 mg/24 h. The GFR was estimated using 99mTc diethylenetriamine pentaacetic renogram method. As indexes of atherosclerosis, we measured the intimal-medial thickness (IMT) and distensibility of the carotid artery using high-resolution B-mode ultrasonagraphy and an echo-tracking system. We measured the resistance index (RI) of the renal interlobar arteries by pulsed Doppler sonography. RESULTS: The clinical characteristics of type 2 diabetic patients with and without microalbuminuria did not differ except for duration of diabetes, which was longer in the patients with microalbuminuria. GFR also did not differ between the patients with and without microalbuminuria. GFR was significantly correlated with the patient's age (r = -0.256, P < 0.05), carotid IMT (r = -0.326, P < 0.05), carotid stiffness beta (r = -0.449, P < 0.001), and renal arterial RI (r = -0.365, P < 0.05). In multiple regression analysis, independent factors associated with GFR were carotid IMT (R2 = 0.108, P = 0.0102), carotid stiffness beta (R2 = 0.208, P = 0.0003), and renal artery RI (R2 = 0.130, P = 0.0043). CONCLUSIONS: The decline in GFR in type 2 diabetic patients in the early stages of nephropathy may be due in part to atherosclerosis.  相似文献

This paper presents a framework for constructing databases for supervisory control systems. The proposed framework utilizes a generation-based approach and object-oriented framework libraries. In this framework, a database is designed for the target system from a design template, and the software for the database system is generated from the database design. Abstract: Phase‐shifting digital holographic interferometry is a new method to measure displacement distribution on the surface of an object. Usually holography has speckle noise, which leads to a large error in the analysis of displacement and strain distributions. We previously proposed windowed phase‐shifting digital holographic interferometry (windowed PSDHI). The use of this method leads to accurate displacement analysis, decreasing the effect of speckle patterns. However, noise reduction involves a defect, which renders the spatial resolution low. In this paper, by comparing the conventional noise reduction method using spatial averaging with the windowed PSDHI on spatial resolution, the effectiveness of noise reduction is discussed.  相似文献

Experimental studies are reported concerning polarization reversal in the single crystal of telluric acid ammonium phosphate (TAAP). The switching currents have been measured under various temperatures and external electric fields. The experimental results have been used in order to obtain the effective growth dimension of reversed domain and the characteristic time of the polarization reversal on the basis of the Avrami theory. It becomes clear that the effective growth dimension depends on temperature and applied electric field.  相似文献

Predictions for oxidation behavior of Ni-base superalloys become more difficult than before because of the complex alloy composition. In this study, we focus on the initial oxidation behavior of Ni-base superalloys, and we suggest a new diagram to predict the initial oxide morphology of Ni-base superalloys with 63 binary, ternary, and multicomponent Ni-base single-crystal superalloys at 1373 K (1100 °C). As a comparison of observed and calculated weight changes after one cycle at 1373 K (1100 °C) obtained by a regression analysis, 63 alloys demonstrated two distinct behaviors, which are divided heretofore into group A and group B. Microstructural observation revealed that an oxide layer in the group A alloys consists of Al2O3 and/or spinel or complex oxide, whereas an oxide layer in the group B alloys consists of a thick NiO layer with an Al2O3 internal subscale. Thermodynamic properties can reflect more effects of alloy elements in Ni-base superalloys, and Al and Cr activities, calculated by Thermo-Calc, were used as factors to predict initial oxidation morphology. Groups A and B alloys can clearly be divided according to Al and Cr activities. This was suggested as a new diagram to predict the initial oxide morphology of Ni-base superalloys, and possibly it can apply for any generation of Ni-base superalloys.  相似文献
