The efficiency of power dissipation (η) in a dynamic material model has been conventionally used for qualitative predictions to estimate the hot working conditions at which dynamic recrystallization (DRX) is dominant. However, predicting the quantitative value of the DRX fraction (XDRX) from η remains a challenge. In this paper, a constitutive equation is proposed to quantitatively predict XDRX using η. The proposed equation for describing XDRX is derived from the reaction rate equation using the assumption that the DRX rate depends on η. The proposed equation is verified via hot compression tests of equiaxed Ti–6Al–4V ELI alloys (Ti-64) in the (α + β) region. The predicted and experimental XDRX values are found to be generally consistent with one another, exhibiting an average absolute error of 0.05. Furthermore, the proposed equation provides the same level of prediction accuracy as the conventional Johnson–Mehl–Avrami–Kolmogorov (JMAK) equation. Therefore, the proposed equation can be used to quantitatively predict XDRX following hot compression tests of equiaxed Ti-64. Moreover, compared with the JMAK equation, the proposed equation is expressed in fewer parameters and constant terms. It is, thus, expected to facilitate the quantitative prediction of XDRX.

The tribological properties of patterned surfaces were investigated under lubricated conditions. Micropatterns were fabricated on a Si surface using a combination of photolithography and plasma etching. NiFe film with a 150 nm thickness was then deposited on the patterned Si surface. We prepared four kinds of patterned surfaces: dimple, grating, bump, and mesh patterns. The dimensions of the patterns were: size 30–40 μm, pitch 120 μm, and depth 10–12 μm. Friction tests were carried out using a pin-on-plate tribometer. The pin specimen was made of cast iron and had a flat end. The normal load was varied from 9.8 to 98 mN, and the average sliding speed from 1.0 to 5.0 mm s−1. Slideway lubricating oils or a gear oil were used as the lubricant, and the ISO viscosity grades of these oils were VG32, VG68, and VG320. The results showed that the friction coefficients of the two reverse patterns showed very similar tendencies and that circular patterns had a lower friction coefficient than did the rectangular patterns at a high bearing characteristic number. The surface geometry of the Si surface did not affect the friction coefficients at a low bearing characteristic number.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: The pathological findings of the resected stomach after endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) for early gastric cancer were reviewed. EMR was indicated when a lesion consisting of well or moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma had a diameter of less than 2 cm. METHODS: Of 39 patients with early gastric cancer were treated with EMR between 1990 and 1995, 11 required additional surgery. RESULTS: Malignant tissue in the gastric wall was completely removed in four patients, while cancer cells remained in the mucosa adjacent to the scar in five and infiltrated into the submucosa in two. Most of these residual cancers were characterized by a lesion with a diameter exceeding 15 mm and by the location in the body or cardia of the stomach. Lymph node metastases were observed in one patient whose carcinoma invaded the deeper submucosal layer. Assessment of the depth of entire invasion from the endoscopically-resected specimen was correct for six of 11 patients. CONCLUSION: Gastric carcinomas to be resected by EMR should be smaller, especially if located in the body or cardia. Accurate diagnosis of the width and depth of invasion is indispensable before proceeding to EMR. Surgery may be the treatment of choice when there is submucosal invasion.  相似文献

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) circulates as particles having differing buoyant densities. Changes in the relative proportions of virus particles of different densities were examined in 19 patients with chronic hepatitis C: 6 without (group A) and 13 with (group B) abnormal serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels. High- and low-density virus particles were separated by differential flotation centrifugation. The numbers of high-density particles consistently exceeded that of low-density particles in all patients in group A, whereas the titers of both types of particles were the same at least once in 7 of 10 patients sampled at two time points in group B. The ALT level significantly increased <2 months later (P < 0.05) when the titers of both types of particles were the same in patients in group B. Thus, we found a correlation between the relative numbers of circulating low-density HCV particles and disease activity in chronic hepatitis C patients.  相似文献

Recently, imaging of bile ductal carcinoma has been improved by new techniques such as MR cholangiography. Cancer invasion along the bile duct has been demonstrated by MR cholangiography. MR cholangiography will be useful for obtaining more detailed information in the diagnosis and staging of common bile ductal carcinoma, hilar cholangiocarcinoma.  相似文献

In our previous study, unusual odd‐numbered dienoic acids with a terminal olefin were found as minor components in ovaries of the Japanese limpet Cellana toreuma, and the synthetic interests have been focused onto their structural confirmation and the inspection into their potential biological activity. Here, we describe an efficient and stereoselective total synthesis of two new unusual dienoic acids, 19:2?7,18 and 21:2?7,20, through a common pathway involving the strategic combination of alkyne‐zipper reaction and Lindlar hydrogenation for the construction of their unique carbon chains. In our synthetic study, 2‐propyn‐1‐ol was at first subjected to alkylation and alkyne‐zipper reaction to form the two fragments, and the subsequent carbon chain elongation was achieved by the usual coupling reaction to obtain the C‐19 and C‐21 products bearing an internal acetylenic group. Then, the internal acetylenic group of these products was subjected to Lindlar hydrogenation to form a Z‐alkenyl moiety, and the subsequent deprotection of the products was carried out under an acidic condition without isomerization of the internal Z‐alkenyl group. Total synthesis of target fatty acids, 19:2?7,18 and 21:2?7,20, was finally accomplished by two‐step oxidation of the resulting alcohols into carboxylic acids in a highly chemoselective manner, and the structures of these unusual natural fatty acids were finally elucidated by identifying the GC–MS spectra of the methyl esters of authentic and synthetic fatty acids.  相似文献

Asymmetric catalysts can be evolved into highly activated catalysts by association with chiral activators. This asymmetric activation process is particularly useful in racemic catalysis through selective activation of one enantiomer of the racemic catalysts. Recently, a strategy whereby a racemic catalyst is selectively deactivated by a chiral additive has been reported to yield nonracemic products. However, we have reported a strategy that is an alternative to asymmetric catalysts but is conceptually opposite, in which a chiral activator selectively activates rather than deactivates one enantiomer of a racemic chiral catalyst. The advantage of this activation strategy over the deactivation counterpart is that the activated catalyst can produce a greater enantiomeric excess (x(act)% ee) in the products than the ee attained by the enantiomerically pure catalyst on its own. Therefore, 'asymmetric activation' could provide a general and powerful strategy for the use of not only atropisomeric and, hence, racemic ligands but also chirally flexible and 'pro-atropisomeric' ligands without enantiomeric resolution!  相似文献
