Magnetic field dependence of shielding current density in Y-Ba-Cu-O rings at 77 K

A method for contactless measurement of the shielding critical current density and its dependence on the external magnetic field is described and analyzed. The obtained values are compared with those measured resistively on two different samples. It is shown that the shielding critical current densityJ _cs and the intergranular transport current densityJ _cr are identical if the measurement conditions are similar. A degradation ofJ _cs measured in the external field with AC ripple has been observed.     

Let's play: Inclusion of a play therapy course or program into a graduate curriculum.

Considering a resurgence of interest in play therapy as an important therapeutic approach for working with both children and adults, strategies are offered for inclusion of a play therapy course or program in a graduate curriculum. These strategies include suggestions for intra-university considerations, information-gathering surveys, play therapy demonstration, and association with an established play therapy professional organization. This editorial discusses the current issue of the International Journal of Play Therapy. In this issue, there are two special sections which feature research studies with an emphasis on play therapy strategies. The first special section focuses on the Color-Your-Life (CYL) technique--a play therapy tool developed by Kevin O'Connor. The other special section features the winner of the Association for Play Therapy's Student Research Award--a study of the effects of family play. Play Therapy with Young Perfectionists.

Recent empirical research has supported a view of perfectionism as potentially adaptive as well as maladaptive. As a result, it is important to accurately assess the form of perfectionism before designing a treatment plan. Cognitive/Adlerian approaches to play therapy offer unique opportunities for assessing and treating maladaptive perfectionism in children. Solid circulation system with shrinking core kinetics in both reactor and regenerator

This paper treats the behavior of solids which circulate between two environments, both in mixed flow. In the reactor the solid react and remove a component from the gas stream, in the regenator another reaction takes place releasing the captured material and restoring the solid to its initial state. Shrinking core kinetics is assumed in which case the particles will have a varying number of concentric rings of product. We related the mean composition of the solid stream with the system parameters (flow rate of solid and size of units) and the particle kinetics, and present the results in the form design charts.     

Using Adlerian personality priorities to custom-design consultation with parents of play therapy clients.

The authors describe a model of using Adlerian personality priorities to guide play therapists in their consultation with parents of their clients. Parent consultation is an important function of the play therapist, particularly because it holds such promise for reinforcing the positive changes of clients. Using an Adlerian model of consultation that emphasizes personality priorities in the design and implementation of the consultation helps when dealing with parental consultation for two reasons: (1) this model offers the advantage of a straightforward four stage approach, with a significant theoretical grounding, (2) play therapists utilizing personality priorities to custom-design their consultation can anticipate the sources of parental resistance and plan approaches that circumvent or prevent many potential problems.
