The structure of SiC–AlN powders is investigated by x-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy methods. The powders were produced by joint carbon reduction and nitriding of silicon and aluminum oxide mixtures. The results show that a mixture of solid solutions forms during joint SiC and AlN synthesis at 1700°C, with SiC forming β (3C) and α (2H) modifications with different grain morphology. The fiber form is characteristic of β-SiC, whereas the grains of the solid solution based on SiC have a predominantly equiaxed form. α-SiC grain dimensions are considerablys smaller than those of AlN. A study has been made on how the structural state of the silicon affects the nitriding at 1200–1400C. An experimental study of two-phase flow in a model of assembly of 37 fuel rods in a triangular arrangement was performed. Measurements were performed with local gas supply through a unit nozzle. Distributions of the local void fraction were obtained at various values of angular coordinate and distance from a spacing grid. It was shown that most of the gas phase moves in a space produced by the walls of three nearby rods. A significant increase of gas phase concentration takes place in the flow region just after the grid.  相似文献

This article reviews works of the Institute for Problems of Materials Science evoted to the application of explosion energy for the synthesis of superhard phases (SHPs) based on phase transformations of layered structures of carbon and boron nitride at high pressures. Major attention is given to the development and application of the high-temperature shock compression method, which made it possible to synthesize a new structural form of carbon and to attain, for the first time, a 70% yield of cubic BN under shock compression. The propagation of premixed flames with different Lewis numbers in a planar channel subject to a Poiseuille flow is considered within the diffusive-thermal model for steady and time-dependent cases. It was found that, depending on the Lewis number and the flow rate, symmetric and non-symmetric flames are possible. The existence of multiple steady solutions in cases of the low Lewis number is demonstrated. The time-dependent simulations carried out for high Lewis number flames also showed the symmetric and non-symmetric oscillatory solutions.Linear stability analysis of two-dimensional steady-states was performed using a practical method developed in the paper and applied to calculate the main eigenvalue. It was shown that for symmetric flames with a low Lewis number the increase in the flow rate leads to a loss of stability with subsequent formation of non-symmetric solutions. For flames with a high Lewis number the Poiseuille flow produces a stabilization effect. The results of the stability analysis were successfully compared with the results of direct numerical simulations.  相似文献
