Parallel multilevel fast multipole method for solving large-scale problems   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The Multilevel Fast Multipole Method (FMM) is a well-established method and can be applied to solve electromagnetic (EM) scattering problems. Compared with other traditional methods, it requires less computational time and memory. However, constrained by a single processor's speed and memory limitations, the problem size that can be solved by serial implementation is still relatively small. For a million-unknown target, the computational time on a single processor is intolerable, and memory could be easily exhausted. Parallel-computing technology, which can utilize multiprocessors, provides an efficient way to solve electrically large-scale EM problems. This paper will focus on discussing the parallel methodologies applied to a multilevel FMM code, as well as demonstrating the computational efficiency of the parallel approach.  相似文献

A new type of polyimide/silica (PI/SiO2) hybrid composite films was prepared by blending polymer‐modified colloidal silica with the semiflexible polyimide. Polyimide was solution‐imidized at higher temperature than the glass transition temperature (Tg) using 3,3′,4,4′‐biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride (BPDA) and 4,4′‐diaminodiphenyl ether (ODA). The morphological observation on the prepared hybrid films by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) pointed to the existence of miscible organic–inorganic phase, which resulted in improved mechanical properties compared with pure PI. The incorporation of the silica structures in the PI matrix also increased both Tg and thermal stability of the resulting films. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of polyesters with alkylated triazole heterocyclic rings at the branches were designed and synthesized via the polycondensation reaction. The synthesized polyesters were examined with various spectroscopic methods such as Fourier transform IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR. The alkyl chain length at the branch was found to affect the thermal stability of the polyesters, which decreased with longer alkyl chain. These polyesters possessed an aggregation‐induced emission enhancement characteristic evidenced by the transformation of the clear solutions in tetrahydrofuran with weak greenish blue emission to cloudy solutions with enhanced blue emission when water was added to promote aggregation. Furthermore, enhancement in the photoluminescence intensity was observed when the polyesters underwent photocrosslinking upon UV irradiation and appeared as self‐assembled aggregates. The formation of aggregates in the water ? tetrahydrofuran solutions and after photocrosslinking was confirmed via TEM analysis. The SEM images showed that the photocrosslinked polyesters were highly porous which may enhance the π ? π stacking interaction that improved the photoluminescence intensity. © 2015 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

The focus of this work is to investigate whether a previously developed microkinetic deactivation model for hydrothermally treated Fe‐BEA as NH3‐SCR catalyst can be applied to describe chemical deactivation of Fe‐BEA due to phosphorous exposure. The model describes the experiments well for Fe‐BEA before and after phosphorous exposure by decreasing the site density, representing deactivation of sites due to formation of metaphosphates blocking the active iron sites, while the kinetic parameters are kept constant. Furthermore, the results show that the activity for low‐temperature selective catalytic reduction (SCR) is very sensitive to loss of active monomeric iron species due to phosphorous poisoning compared to high‐temperature SCR. Finally, the ammonia inhibition simulations show that exposure to phosphorous may affect the internal transport of ammonia between ammonia storage sites buffering the active iron sites, which results in a lower SCR performance during transient conditions. © 2014 American Institute of Chemical Engineers AIChE J, 61: 215–223, 2015  相似文献

This paper presents an optimal method for the separation of reflected and transparent layers from real-world scene images. Whereas past research has been applied to indoor environments and static cameras, our technique can be used for outdoor scenes and motion cameras. The method is based on spatio-temporal analysis, especially using epipolar plane images (EPI). The edge and color information of EPI has been used to segment the areas on EPIs efficiently and separate the reflected and transparent layers. This method can be used for refining building textures by removing reflections from captured images for the purpose of city modeling.  相似文献

Transmission electron microscopy is used to study the effect of doping vanadium with titanium and iron on the formation of helium porosity and gas swelling with ionic embedding of helium at 650°C. It is found that large facetted pores larger than 20 nm form in pure vanadium and vanadium exhibits the largest gas swelling. Doping with any amount of titanium (from 0.1 to 10%) and iron (from 1 to 10%) considerably decreases helium swelling. The titanium concentration has almost no effect on the density of the bubbles. The effect of titanium doping of vanadium on the porosity parameters and swelling is of a nonmonotonic character; in the case of iron doping of vanadium the bubble density increases and the bubble size increases monotonically and swelling occurs with increasing iron concentration. The minimum sizes of the bubbles and swelling are observed in alloy with the maximum titanium content V–10%Ti and the structural alloy V–4%Ti–Cr.  相似文献

Silica nanoparticles with well‐defined, highly grafted dense poly(methyl methacrylate) (MMA) were prepared by surface‐initiated activators regenerated by electron transfer for atom transfer radical polymerization (ARGET ATRP) of methyl methacrylate with an initiator‐fixed silica particle in the presence of air. Two different polymerizations of MMA were carried out under the same conditions using tris[2‐(dimethylamino)ethyl]amine (Me6TREN) and N,N,N′,N′,N″‐pentamethyldiethylene‐triamine (PMDETA) as the ligand, respectively. In the CuCl2/PMDETA system, polymerization appeared to be more controlled with a lower polydisperisty compared with the CuCl2/Me6TREN system. The monolayer of these particles was formed at the air–water interface using Langmuir‐Blodgett (LB) technique. Multilayers of the particles were fabricated by repetition of LB depositing. Corallopyronin A is a myxobacterial compound with potent antibacterial activity. Feeding experiments with labelled precursors resulted in the deduction of all biosynthetic building blocks for corallopyronin A and revealed an unusual feature of this metabolite: its biosynthesis from two chains, one solely PKS‐derived and the other NRPS/PKS‐derived. The starter molecule is believed to be carbonic acid or its monomethyl ester. The putative corallopyronin A biosynthetic gene cluster is a trans‐AT‐type mixed PKS/NRPS gene cluster, containing a β‐branching cassette. Striking features of this gene cluster are a NRPS‐like adenylation domain that is part of a PKS‐type module and is believed to be responsible for glycine incorporation, as well as split modules with individual domains occurring on different genes. It is suggested that CorB is a trans‐acting ketosynthase and it is proposed that it catalyses the Claisen condensation responsible for the interconnection of the two chains. Additionally, the stereochemistry of corallopyronin A was deduced by a combination of a modified Mosher's method and ozonolysis with subsequent chiral GC analyses.  相似文献
