Investigation results of interactions of magnetometric flux-gate gradiometers with a rotation body of the flowmeter as an axial turbine are presented. New characteristics, design and circuit solutions, performance capabilities, and application areas of the magnetometric turbine flowmeters are given.

Production of TiNi fibers by melt extraction

The paper examines the production of TiNi fibers by pendent-drop melt extraction in vacuum. The mean effective diameter of the continuous fibers produced is 37 µm. Resistometrical investigation establishes that martensitic transformations in the fibers start at M_s = 17 °C.     

A device for uniaxial orientation of gelatinous media and for measuring the anisotropy of their physical properties

The design characteristics of the device suggested here provide the possibility of accomplishing uniaxial orientation of gels with retention of the constancy of their volume, thus making it possible to carry out highly accurate measurements of their anisotropic physical parameters in directions parallel and perpendicular to the axis of orientation of the gel. Using as examples polyacrylamide gels that contain biologically important molecules and membranes, we demonstrate the possibility of measuring the anisotropy of their luminous absorption and refraction.
